  1. Run free with the angels Gertie... you've earned it old girl... Hugs to you and the Boss perse... T.
  2. The ad reads that she's only been in care for 2 weeks - based on the comment about the vet treatment for her neck wound. In that time, she's "finished raising her puppies" - and more concerning, has shown some behaviours that need a lot more work before I would consider her a safe adoption to anyone... T.
  3. Pickles used to bark at the new dog next door for a while... but she eventually got used to the fact he was there... a couple of months maybe? Now those neighbours have moved out and the house will have new tenants in time... I'm sure Pickles will go off at them until she gets used to their routines... *sigh* The only thing I did with Pickles was to try to keep her inside if I wasn't home - so that if she barked, it wasn't so loud for other neighbours. We also did introductions with the neighbour's puppy so she at least knew that the smells from the other side of the fence were him... T.
  4. Looking so good... and relaxed in the company of others too... awesome job kirty! T.
  5. Ummm Mumsie... a muzzle will not stop her from harming chickens with her paws or body... best to lock up the chooks - or the dog - instead! T.
  6. Reading past the cutesy fluff, I pick up a few concerning issues... but I've been in the rescue game a while - whereas the average Joe might not see the warning signs there. Big thing that popped out at me was the 2 weeks since the chain was removed and treatment for the wounds started... and that she'd been busy raising her pups at the same time? The protective of foster carer bit is a red flag, as is the chasing cats (the neighbour's cat specifically) part... and I only skimmed the too long story... I'm all for the first person advertising, but too much back story, focusing on the hardships prior to coming into rescue, or fluffing over things that will be a problem is a bit rich for me. T.
  7. He's kinda ruggedly cute... pity I'm such an old duck... lol! T.
  8. You have such an eye perse... lovely photo! T.
  9. Zeddy used to be the queen of scare nips to wayward puppies - and she was so fast that it would freak them out, and they'd scream like she'd removed a limb... lol! I'm a mean mummy though, and would ignore them... they needed to learn manners, and Zeddy was excellent at teaching them those... T.
  10. Gotta love the shock screams - no harm done, but they can get loud when it happens, yes? T.
  11. Happy Birthday boys! Your mummy loves you very much to spoil you so... T.
  12. Run free chasing bunnies/butterflies Napoleon... you are in excellent company... Hugs for you and yours Rozzie! T.
  13. Such a nasty job... not jealous at all... lol! T.
  14. Well done to all involved! Small steps forward are still in the right direction, yes? T.
  15. This needs a huge LIKE button response! Ditto from me! T.
  16. Big fat healthy looking babies... doing good there! T.
  17. My yellow Lab cross bitch is named Trouble... suits her to a tee... lol! T.
  18. Ned - as in Kelly Roo - as in kangaroo Baz - ocker for Barry Bruce - apparently a popular Aussie name in the 70's - subject of a very funny Monty Python skit Perkins - if he likes to swim... *grin* Jarrah - a particularly fine type of eucalypt tree Wally - if he's a little bit of a doofus Jack - as in jackaroo T.
  19. I can see him in the sale yards running along the sheep backs... lol! T.
  20. Royal Canin Junior seems to work better than other puppy foods though... in my experience with around 200 foster pups anyways... T.
  21. There are worse things for a pup than becoming a photographic model... *grin* T.
