  1. Do the dog owning neighbours own or rent? If they own the place, then maybe they can install a double gate system? T.
  2. OMG! My heart goes out to you and yours kirty! Fly free with the angels Rupert... T.
  3. I had a Rotti who would take any opportunity to go into my flatmate's room and eat her shoes or soft toys... the dog did not like this particular flatmate for some reason. Solution was for said flatmate to keep her bedroom door closed... T.
  4. You could always send him to me perse... *grin* Just what I need... another slightly damaged dog... although, as Harper doesn't get on very well with the other two (and has to be separated from them), she could probably do with a little brother to play with... NO! I can't have anither pup right now... T.
  5. Zeddy was the enforcer around here with the fosters... she'd let them get away with only so much, then an air snap and growl/bark to let them know they'd crossed the line... puppies running to all corners quicktime... lol! Those that didn't get the rather obvious hint above ended up planted by the throat until they squealed... never a mark on them, but they certainly got the message by then... *grin* T.
  6. Look at the huge feet on the Puddenhead! T.
  7. Way too much cute for just one puppy... lol! T.
  8. Good judges of character, aren't they? *grin* T.
  9. Dogs can sense the good in people... even as pups... and these pups seem to think the Boss is the bees knees, yes? T.
  10. Stunning markings and eye colours... simply WOW! T.
  11. Hang in there westiemum... treasure every day... Hugs, T.
  12. Whatever you build, you want to make sure that it is situated close enough to, and facing, your back door so the dog can see the comings and goings from the house from it... otherwise the dog simply won't use it... You could try the weatherproof plywood sheets from Bunnings - they come in various ply widths/strengths. Build the frame and floor from untreated pine, then nail the plywood sheets to said frame. An angled roof to allow run-off of rain - angled toward the back of the kennel so the rain doesn't run off in front of the door... *grin*... you could cover the roof with some of that playground compound rubber matting from Bunnings to make it more waterproof too. Most importantly, you want the floor of the kennel at least 3-4 inches off the ground to allow for airflow and/or any seepage of anything wet. That's what I would do anyways... T.
  13. Awesome! But you do breed the most amazing dogs Tapua... T.
  14. Just think how boring life would be without Stan... lol! T.
  15. Happy Birthday Maddie... I hope you and Stan got pies today... T.
  16. She may get used to the fact that there's a dog next door after a little while... Pickles took about a month to realise that the new noises from next door weren't new any more... *grin* T.
  17. Won't let me read without subscribing... can you copy/paste the text please? T.
  18. You could also take a small dog on public transport in a small travel crate... safe for everyone, and not so scary for the dog. T.
  19. Thank you for enlightening us with regards to the screening processes involved with rehoming a dog like Rosie... there are so many rescues out there using emotive ads to pull in the unsuspecting adopter, and certainly do operate on a 'first come, first served' basis. Glad to know BSRA aren't one of those rescues... *grin* T.
  20. Thanks for joining the discussion Liz... would you care to elaborate about Rosie's "protective" tendencies, and the chasing cats thing? I do note that you are looking for a foster to adopt situation for Rosie... are you also looking for an experienced home for her as opposed to the bleeding heart type that will most likely respond to the flowery wording of the ad? T.
