Urgently Teaching Puppy To Shut Up........
Coolibah Coolies replied to a topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Pixie I know just how u feel same is happening to us and we live in the bush and my next doors dogs barked all night for months, their jrt lives in my paddock and has a pad from travelling back and forward, one suggestion I have you could keep her inside if you put a very soft muzzle on her the cheap ones are great not tight and they can drink and pant but cant chew. I do this with one of mine as she cant stop chewing had a go at the electric blanket cord the other day when I had it off ram raided Amys room and robs toys etc. Good luck and I hope there are some ideas out there for us, I think Cordys neighbour is cloning -

Today I grieve for two koolie dogs :D Early this morning little Buddy the rescue passed away at the tender age of 9 weeks from what I do not know, I am so sorry little guy you didnt get your great new home to play and be loved in. At 12.30 Slipper the mother of my lovely boy Booty passed away at the age of 7 from agressive bone cancer. Slip thanks for enriching my life with your lovely boy and we loved you so, my heart goes out to your mum. Run free Koolie dogs you are much loved and will be missed and never forgotten. Slipper Buddy I am crying a river today.

Had to post this for you Riles (BTW, it's called a bridge, if you're gonna hang around these places, you gotta learn the lingo) ;) you should of taken trim to Nyngan today she would of given Pip Hudson a run for his money as he was the one who did not once get the sheep over the bridge thingy amazing stuff. Zest looks good too

Congratulations isnt it a beautiful thing to watch? I went to Nyngan to the 3 sheep trials today and it was soo good watching these masters of the dog world working the dogs, very difficult sheep and one big name did not even finish in the three goes he had. Ruth

Coolibah Coolies replied to Coolibah Coolies's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Sorry guys I hadnt got back to you, dont worry I am taking no risks with my daughter, really think he is a big spoilt boy who thinks by intimidating people he will get his own way and needs to learn that it dont work that way, :p went to work him on the sheep but they have shot through we were discussing changing them over so I imagine they will be replaced shortly the others were a bit too tame. As soon as they come back I will record him with sheep and with out and in the mean time he is being told no everytime he acts like an idiot, who knows it might sink in Thanks so much for all your help and I will send the cds as soon as possible ;) ruth -

Thank you for your swift reply I dont leave him near Amy at all and I will take some pics in the morning he hears her from his Kennel and starts barking she is terified as my dogs are all sweeties and would never hurt any one, I will try and video in the morning for you. Thanks again ruth -
Hi Guys, wondering if you can help me I have a rescue dog here he is a kelpie desexed male about 18 month old very untrained but is a nice dog, overwieght but I am working on that. Tiger goes mad when he sees my 8 year old daughter, but he is confusing he barks, bares his teeth wags and play bows all at once, he is ok with a 13 year old girl from next door and adults and little kids, do you think he is wanting to play or wanting to eat her?? I can take some pics or a short video in the morning if that would help. He needs a strong hand as he is so strong and tends to jump up and nip me for attention this is anoying only, not dangerous but needs to stop before I can rehome him. Thanks in advance Ruth
