How Often Do You Have To Cut Your Dogs Nails?
GeckoTree replied to kelpiecuddles's topic in General Dog Discussion
I think dogs would be like people, I don't see how they cant be, some peoples nails grow really fast while others don't seem to grow much at all and don't need to be clipped as often. Also the more sunshine about nails tend to grow faster, don't know why that is, probably more vitamin D being absorbed or something. -
Do you know any saddlery or leather workers? Some people I know at my local markets custom make collars along with selling different sizes. They made a huge one for a local Boerboel dog I saw which was as round as a tree stump! Might be an alternative if you cant find what you are searching for in leather. My dogs not large more medium I guess, but she wears a Rogz Bigfoot collar for big breeds which has survived 9 years so far and not looking like it will wear out anytime soon.

Australian Woman Charged With Illegal Export Of Dingoes
GeckoTree replied to j's topic in In The News
I don't know why she didnt just do things correctly this time around , she sent a pair to NY Zoo in 2009 and all was fine with the export. -
Saw some footage of these horses a while ago, they looked ok to me. It takes a while for skinney rescue horses to get into reasonable condition I suspect, cant happen over night. Yeah I see the ex pro, ex cop ex whatever as being some kind of moral compass guide horsecrap of someones integrity too., pretty low, but people are not blind.

Probably because he did it himself people flipped a wig, now if he paid one of those tattoo pets companies to do it instead no one would care.

The Flood Dog That Miraculously Came Back To Life
GeckoTree replied to Boronia's topic in In The News
Yep pretty odd pics were sent anonymously to Sumerset regional council from snail mail too, seeing as they have to ask for public help in identification and all. Nice dog, pitty about the story. Someones poetic learners licence at play me thinks. -
Far out if the morons seeking the little pities get over the hype thats been built on them, and actually seek out man stoppers something far worse than the BSL will come about.

Shooting a dog for knocking a couple bins over........ Okay then.

I don't know, but I would call it Wilson. Any breed. They would help me survive by maintaining some level of crazy dog person sanity. Otherwise I would just probably drown myself in a coconut after a few years.

What would be your tips in dealing with a proposed dangerous dog declaration? What are the defences to an offence in NSW?
-
I haven't heard it , but I can understand it. I haven't sought a pre trained dog before either. It's never even entered my head to do so.
-
I think some do go way OTT and even become obsessed with there dogs well being, but what I think is over the top may also be way *over over the top to someone else. As for the fines for caring about a dogs well being I think the footy mates are just dribbling, they couldn't be serious.

Leaving Dogs Tethered Outside The Supermarket
GeckoTree replied to a topic in General Dog Discussion
Depends on the location etc, but yeah I have tethered my dog outside a shop. And also decided against it. I was born with a brain, funny old thing it is. -
RIP dog, So avoidable. Is there not a law in WA about dogs locked in cars?
