  1. I really hope the psycho is caught, I really hope.
  2. I think the wiki article is pretty spot on, the Eurasia breed developed in the 60's would be a good example of a most modern incarnation of a X to a breed.
  3. You dont have to be sorry or make apologies for any decisions you make. No one does. The only people who should make apologies are those whos decisions directly impact others in a negative way. So those who call others a pedigree snob, or those who call others supporters of BYB because they choose not to have a pedigree pet each have a negative impact on one another. Live and let live is a good motto. Saves on apologies lol.
  4. Those concerned will at least look into or have on hand the resources available of dog ID the process of declaration and appeal etc etc and be prepared. Also they'ed probably have an action plan ready. Out of the thousands and thousands of staffies and types I dont think a big percentage of owners would be worrying themselves though.
  5. He's in bloody good nick for 13! I hope my dog is in such great shape at that age. I'm glad he is home, I found the whole thing outrageous and absurd.
  6. LMAO it's like someone in the edit room thought 'hmmm should I or should'nt I?' Lol.
  7. Its very difficult to find now theres some links in this thread and what I grabed using an internet archive. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...p;#entry3672817
  8. Have I got this right? If the State government in there review don't restrict the AST, then the Gold coast council will either restrict the AST in the local laws as they can, or it will mean Tango can live back home on the GC as he isnt restricted, and as shown, has satisfied the court he was an AST to prove breed. Regardless of the state governments decision, I really think the ASTs days are numbered on the GC at least. I can't see this council would be at all happy to lose face with this.
  9. A while ago I was googling around for god knows what, and I came across the expenditure for a victorian council, Dandenong, now on this site are 5 listed people in animal management of which only 1 is an animal management ACO ranger what ever they are called to look after 35,000 population and all complaints etc as well as doing patrols, everyone else was in admin or such. I think they are well understaffed and underfunded to put on more staff.
  10. Drop the hints that people right around Australia are still very much interested in her wellbeing and progress. I'd love to see an updated pic of her improving condition. Actually all these cases id love to see the progress of the dog, like the amstaff that was casterated and found tied to a pole etc. They did it for Boof the dog that was bashed with a pipe and had a chain and anchored to cement blocks. I was so glad to read hs progress then was sent to a great home. I hope they do let you post info for us.
  11. Under subordinate local laws individual councils can regulate what they wish to, that has been the case for a very long time and I highly doubt the state govt will recind that any time soon. This is about the standards of restricted beed dogs under the regulated dogs part of the recent upgraded legislation. The minumum standards are desexed muzzled enclosed not advertised etc.
  12. Good stuff mate! I really hope they dont add them to the list.
  13. The kid did everthing he could to save his dog.
  14. I dont know it was what was on the news, Andrew somebody.
  15. This American DNA mob says it cant really be done. http://www.dnabreedtest.com/why-isnt-pit-b...the-breed-list/
  16. What paper/media avenue is it? I havnt seen anything about it.
  17. On the news someone from the APBT association qld, is going back to southport court on the 16'th I think,he's been in and out of court for years about the dogs. That might be it?
