My dog's costs are no where near those averages and she has never been without.

If you can get a dehydrator you can make all sorts of treats, just dont ad any salt. I have made up a mish mash of liver, kidney, and heart jerky for my dogs treat nibbles for weekends away and things and it went down like a treat, stinks while making it though.

I would not eat baked beans and bread for a week for any reason. I can buy a lot of really good staple foods for the 20 bucks a week it costs in bread and canned beans averaging 3 meals a day. Stuff that.

My vote is nothing, If the breed standards says its fine then I guess that is a part of the breed and should continue as is. If the standard is changed in the future to omit this from the standards and people within the breed follow it, then as is to that yet again. I couldn't give a crap either way actually.

yep Ive seen a couple, a baby brown sunning itself on the road, and a little grass snake near one of my palm trees. The days here are quite warm in the sun.

Increase in attacks, or increase of newspapers reporting them? A bit of both, with the population increase of dogs over the years, and continuing to grow steadily, incidents involving dog attacks will naturally rise and the reporting of them in the crap sheets people buy will rise as well.
