  6. poor dog humans are asswipes, clowns in gowns even worse.
  7. He seems pretty devastated to me, even offering a reward. I presume since he has had the dog from 11 weeks it would have been cropped around some time after that. perhaps the value is because he bred the dogs great grand sire and sire and this dog is of value not only in the costs of purchase shipping but also due to its family lines perhaps? Why are so many poison darts being thrown at this fellow on the other side of the world? I don't understand it.
  8. ? He breeds shows and handles sandgrubber. See his website. Where is everyone getting an idea that this stolen dog has been cropped in Australia?
  9. Nice dog houses everyone. Those whisky barrels are pretty unique, 2 thumbs up! Definitely needs to be big and luxurious TCM, for OH's sake, for those times when they get sent to the 'doghouse'. My dogs house is just a store bought igloo.
  10. http://www.riverwoodharlequins.com/ heres his website. poor bugger I hope he finds his dog.
  11. I have a bit of experience with a Bull Mastiff my grand parents dog not owned by me though none exp of either the DDB or Boerboel, so I can only talk of BM. She was a great natural guard dog, very healthy, very loyal, did love exercise but not a complete nut about it, a very laid back and casual type of dog. J.
  12. Someone is dog sitting for me at the moment and she is in the lap of luxury I am sure of it .Lady muck lol, At home when alone she has a choice of a nice warm dog kennel outside which is stuffed with all manner of insulation ranging from pea straw, to an old sleeping bag, She can head inside to the back part of the house through the dog flap if she wants, She has a dog bed in there with a sewn on blanket she can crawl into. My tips for outside are have a good dog house with good insulation which is undercover and out of the rain, that is about all. The dog will choose to use it or not.
  13. A Yorkshire Terrier has lived up to the reputation of dogs being man's best friend by waiting for two days for his owner after he was accidently left at a truck stop in the US. Arkansas truck driver Michael Siau's nine-month-old pooch Rambo jumped out of his owner's truck when he stopped at a rest area near Hannibal, Missouri and he wasn't missed until Siau had driven on a further 200km. "Didn't even cross my mind that he might jump out. He never has before," Siau told the Hannibal Courier-Post. "I jumped back in the truck, put it in gear and drove off. And I just thought he was in the back asleep." It wasn't until Siau arrived at Cedar Rapids in Iowa that he realised Rambo was missing. Siau said he began "freaking out" and tried to work out where Rambo had gone missing. But despite his concerns, he made the decision to continue his journey as he knew turning back would mean jeopardizing his job. Siau's predicament was made worse by a feeling of déjà-vu. In October last year Rambo's father, Ollie, who regularly took trips with Siau, was run over and killed. Siau was so distraught he had to take six months off work. "I was freaking out. I had to calm down and think about how he could have possibly gotten out," Siau said. "And it came to me that was the only time he could have got out and I wouldn't have seen him. I was just sure he was there." Siau said he couldn't bear to lose another dog and began calling local authorities. After some failed attempts, he got in contact with Hannibal animal control which sent officer Tim Ledbetter to the truck stop. He got there just in time. When he arrived, sure enough, Rambo was there. He was sitting patiently, but a family who had stopped at the area was just about to adopt the "abandoned" pup. "In about 60 seconds, he would have been gone," Ledbetter said. Siau and Rambo were eventually reunited at the Northeast Missouri Humane Society, an animal shelter, on June 5 (pictured above) where Rambo climbed up Siau's shoulder and began kissing the back of his neck. Together, the pair left for their next stop in Tennessee, with Siau assuring Rambo he would never be left behind again.
  14. Mine craps along the fence line so I say yeah they do. might be an anal sack thing going on? You know the sent glands lol. she also wipes her feet with glee.
  15. Bit of both, it's more a management thing, many dogs in this country don't actually have owners at all. I know mine didn't until I grabbed her. I would never break a dogs spirit be it a bad ass or a sap, I only adapt and manage where I live in society.
  16. It's best to leave the name of 'Bandog' well alone imo. Don't even mention it as a type of dog, stick to the cross that it is. and if the cross has APBT in it then leave that name out as well. The purebreed Bullmastiff is a Bandog by definition for heavens sake, but it is not called that.
  17. Yeah I feed mine raw chicken carcus and offal with various other stuffs from lenards, sometimes thawed when I don't get it into in the fridge quick enough It stinks to high heaven. I can't get a source of patties where I am. PS I don't agree it is cheaper than pre done, time in preparation compared to convenient patties is expensive in time and energy. Depends upon the reasoning of $ to life I suppose, I am happy to float someone a few extra $ for doing the hard yards of preperation. J.
  18. Another thing while you all debate the 1'st world condition, Australia has a 3'rd world nation spread out in various locals which will not ever see 1'st world responses to Animal management and control. No matter what breed or cross there off. Thank your lucky stars you live where you do even if its 1 half of a percent better than some of the places I have been.
  19. Oh I dunno, if it goes that way they would prolly try and use the Bullarab descriptor standard *Insert rolleyes* bunch of morons if they do try. *roll eyes again*
  20. I don't think there is a 'The answer', but there are good animal control management systems in the world that actually have shown to reduce dog attacks in the 1'st world. Calgary model comes to mind as the most recent on a world stage, but at the end of the day it comes down to money and the amount available to councils for animal control and management systems to some sort of high degree of enforcement. BSL is a balls up and always has been,( a proven null and void legislation of animal management in Australia and around the world, which costs a hell of a lot of money to enforce to a very very poor degree, how long has Aus had BSL now again and how much has it cost us/everybody?) education programs lack consistency in delivery nation wide, some local councils are OTT while the next one over are lax. It's all a money and also a resolution problem. Nothing else, Australia apart from BSL has very good animal management laws and legislation, its just that theres not enough givashit involved by the state governments or local council areas. J. PS I would love to see state government abolishment, the 3 tiered system is absolutely retarded at an economic and bureaucrat level of wasted spending, another Aus inflection of dumbshitness.
  21. TV for dogs > Bwahahah ha ha what a crock of 1'st world horse crap. Bring on beef flavoured popcorn I'm sure they would love it!
