What a great day for you and the red kids TO! Big congratulations. Can't wish for much better than .that.
-
He was a good boy! Well done!
-
S&W - sounds like Waldo was a very good boy :D - especially with his interrupted year. And the horrible winds we've had recently make it very difficult for the dogs to stay steady.
-
Thanks, Ptolomy  ... now you tell me - just after I've entered lil big man Rory in his first UD next month. Although I actually did know - been there, done that, got the T shirt. :D
-
Wow! That's great Dogs4Fun. Great way to finish, and especially well done - hard enough, let alone on a very hot day.
-
TO - sounds like it was "one of those days" ... but at least you got a nice Q and place along the line. My feral Kirra says she's going to start a "Dogs needing new/younger/smarter handlers society." :D

woohooo TSD and Em - that is wonderful - and sounds like she did it in real style. What a buzz - and as you say - nice to have them both in the same class. And sounds like a good day for you TO - title won't be long now. And getting lost on the easy part of a hard course - yep - been there, done that ... more than once!!!! TSD - private lessons - you lucky duck. I sooo need that, especiallly with the misguided missile. Did a little training at club yesterday - and I am getting a little more acknowledgement in the presence of contacts - in his defence, he hardly ever sees them cos I don't have them and don't have room at home. Today did a bit of jumping and weave training with a newbie friend. The missile was a little bit less misguided, but oh my goodness, I need to be thinking fast. He does have directionals, but it takes me a moment to remember to use them and get them right. Not helped by the fact that I also use them for directed jumping in UD training, and then it's the mirror image - confusing for an old lady - but not for the dog, apparently . We have trials coming up this weekend at Launceston Royal. Will be interesting and fun.

 biker girl - are you thinking about going to the dark side  . New rules are coming in in January - they're up on the ANKC website now. The bit that will give you the major difference is ... The 70% hw is up from 60% - although many people will include more than that, as if you only have the bare percentage, and the dog is substantially out of position, you haven't satisfied the basic requirement. And the girls and Jim would definitely LOVE to have a go! :D

for Ptolomy and the red boys in HTM .... and yes - always have back up music CDs great stuff from your girls, xena98. And big for ness and Miss Kenz. Lovely stuff! And not to be outdone, Kenz's cousin Rory managed to pass his T & S Test 1 with a Very Good, in severe weather warning conditions with 80kmh winds. And he won Track of the Day present from the judge - a nice pack of goodies which included a new toy - tuggy with a ball - which he was very pleased with, and which got a run in agility class this morning.

Just popping in to say, so glad to hear that Louis is doing well. :D

Thanks :) my OH likes to take credit for Collie's achievements even though he knows it's all the hard work I put it during the week that means Collie performs well when he is on the other end of the lead in class :p  so we should add congrats for training the OH as well :D .

Congrats to you and your kids too Leah82.

for Ptolomy and the Scoota man - great effort. He's entitled to have flat batteries. It's hard when you have to start thinking about retirement for them, isn't it - especially when they rip out results like that. Semi retirement maybe?
-
Well done whitka. - first step on the road is always good! :D
-
That sounds perfect for your needs. I do think it is one of the roomiest and most practical. Good thinking about the jelly beans too - perfect. :D
-
CC, you must be thrilled with how you and the girls performed under difficult conditions. They just love to work, and look so stylish as well. And what a lovely comment from the judge about Roxy's heeling.
-
Congratulations CC on such wonderful performances by your lovely girls ...and you must be so proud hearing the judge's comments.....agree with Ptolomy - you and the girls are such a pleasure to watch.

Is it any good? I'm about halfway through - and yes, I'm finding it very good - but then I like the approach of both the authors to training. I'm in the middle of an interesting discussion about stress.

I think from memory I paid $150 about 3 years ago for the mature eye exam and gonioscopy. And yes, my vet. ophthalmologist is doubtful about the predictive value of the gonioscopy in relation to glaucoma, and was quite up front about that, but I figured that since it's harmless and pretty non invasive for the dog, it's one of those "if it does no good it'll do no harm" things, which adds to the sum of knowledge .. even if it's only to demonstrate no relationship. Editd because I wasn't paying attention when my phone insisted on "horosopes" instead of "gonioscopy" :)

Sent you a message on FB :D ETA ... and official results are on RASV site now.
-
TSD - nice restraint there :D . And it's all sheena's fault this time, isn't it? Where's the wink emoticon gone ;-)

Looking For A Dog Training School In Xxx
Tassie replied to Sparden's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I hope Tassie suggested High Shangrila in Tasmania :D If not: http://www.highshangrila.com.au/ We currently go there :) I didn't, Beckybecbec, as I wasn't sure if Rita was still training. So glad to see she is. Say Hi to her from Barb with the BCs from Hobart. :D
