Nice work in agility and flyball guys .... Miss Kirra decided after getting a Q (just) in Rally Excellent B this morning, that it was really too hot and sing for her .. so no more Qs for her today,... think she's still tired after last weekend. Mr Rory backed up from his obedience runs yesterday, to get two more legs towards RAE3...all scores in the 90s .. third and second places in the morning trial, the 99 and 1st place in Excellent B this afternoon. :) He's such a good boy.

Thanks guys...stoked with him. 5 disciplines last weekend, and we didn't get back from the mainland till Tuesday ....then three hours up to Launceston last night. Rally AE for both of them tomorrow ... Coulc be interesting ;-)

We have an obedience brag ! ... 4 exercises of good work in UD this morning..and 4 not do much :-). But this afternoon my lil big man kept it together for his first UD Q.. ..182, which included 3 off.for dead dog in the stay...hot sun here :-) . So thrilled with his enthusiasm and his ability to keep it going right through, especially after his busy weekend at BC Nat thanks to Ptolomy and Bedazzled for your encouragement and inspiration ..

Good luck PME and Kenzie. Goodness knows when we will get back into the DWD ring again ... Sometimes I wish we lived on the mainland .. with clubs, classes and comps easier to get to.

Have you investigated whether there are some alternative meds which could help her - I'd be looking for a vet who is also a holistic vet, maybe practising Chinese herbal medicine as well. You could also try Dr Kersti Seksel - a vet behaviourist - who might have some suggestiosn.

Sounds like you're getting heaps out of the SG course..others are saying the same. I just couldn't fit it in, but hoping some crumbs will be passed down. :-) BC National was amazing! So many wonderful dogs doing various disciplines. No Qs for us, but both did some nice stuff...although the high/low light was the missile deciding on the very last run of the day to try to retrieve the tyre..right in front of official videographer LOL. I was actually pleased with how well he coped with the environment of the biggest trial he's seen. Kirra's best effort was a clear in her 4th run..JDM ... But we were 4.5 seconds over. Still not bad for team Geri(atric) ;-). The missile held his SLS, and nailed all his contacts .. including the extra DW that he just couldn't resist ..just couldn't turn him tight enough to avoid it. We also competed in rally (both),DWD (both), obedience and conformation (Rory) ..both qd in Freestyle Novice, and Rory in Rally and Hhelwork to Music Novice. He also won 3rd place in Best Headed Dog.

Ptolomy and luvsdogs ...i don't think there was official video, but the WA crew were videoing theirs, so you should get to see those :-).

Yay - some nice brags for the weekend - congrats everyone. Miss Kirra, who turned 12 at the end of February, has brags from the weekend's agility trials in Launceston. She and her GSP partner managed to hold it all together for a Q in Masters Strat Pairs - and then my feral girlie got a nice Open Jumping pass which completed her JDO6 title. So proud of her. She also got a 1 refusal (my bad handling) NQ 1st in Masters Agility, and we were 4 seconds over in one of the JDM runs. And best of all, she has pulled up fine again - I have cut her number of runs back, although I don't know that she's thanking me for it - jsut as well she can't read the catalogue and realise that she's missing out . The misguided missile (aka Woo's big brother Rory), had some nice runs (and a couple not so nice - my bad for the most part) - he would like it to be known that he can now get round an agility course without taking an off course contact - well, he's done it once or twice - hopefully it will become a habit :D ), and he has achieved 12 weavers in a competition run. His best run was a 1st place NQ in Jumping - one refusal - he was too fast for me to adjust his line, but it was a nice run. I'm happy that he's starting to listen more, and he's running some nice lines. We need more work on the tyre - at present he sometimes sees it as an obstacle to be bulldozed through, rather than jumped through. :laugh:

Colour me jealous. :laugh: My misguided missile and I so need some training. He's coming along - but we'd both do so much better with access to regular training.

Oh I do hope so!!! I have music, sort of (rather uninteresting costumes) and some ideas - but .... putting it all together ....hmmmm. Busy all weekend at agility trial - and last weekend. And now getting ready to leave on Wednesday. Chickening out is looking better and better

So sorry for your loss, Denali. An article of her clothing would probably be a comfort to him - just see from his reaction. It might also be worth checking with a holistic vet about any specific things along the lines of rescure remedu or something like that, or a specially compounded thing. Might help the poor little man. I t could take him quite a while t adjust. - as in a few weeks - can do that even when they lose a doggy mate.

That sounds really good - well except for the you going stir crazy bit :laugh: . Sweet that Amber is being such a good carer :D .
