Clean Run 'pop Open Crates'
Tassie replied to Sail_Away's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
 Yep - feeding frenzy from Oz! They do have free shipping on odd things, and occasionally have a limited free shipping offer. Not that I'm an addict or anything .... -
Clean Run 'pop Open Crates'
Tassie replied to Sail_Away's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Got a couple on free shipping at one stage. OK - but I find them hard to fold up properly again - though that might be me. :D Very lightweight - dogs can roll them easily. OK for dogs who are very calm in their crates. -
DD, I wouldn't think so - all the people I know on the organising committee are going to be flat chat between organizing and competing. But there maay be something on the FB page. 2014 Queensland Agility Nationals. Teams events today - no Tasmanian team this year - who to support ... I know ... everyone
-
3 hours, then overnight on the ferry - including a couple of hours waiting in queues  , and then about 8 hours or so to Adelaide ... way shorter - but way more expensive. LOL And no - although we do have some lovely grounds, there's no way we could put on Nationals .

Tassie replied to Loving my Oldies's topic in General Dog Discussion
So very. very sorry for you. That dear little dog could not have had a more wonderful, caring human for the last years of her life. All dog should be so cherished. -
2016 is Adelaide isn't it - a bit closer, anyway :D
-

I'm Tassie there too. Now to work out how I can find time to fit this into the schedule as well as Fenzi courses .. thankfully only bronze this time round ... to say nothing of some training for 4 disciplines .. and things like weekend trip to Melbourne  . I seriously have to give up work .. wouldn't be so hard .. but I love my job. -
Well done. They look as though they enjoyed themselves :D .

Dancing With Dogs Freestyle & Heelwork To Music
Tassie replied to kallistar's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Kallistar - what has Splash been telling Kirra??? The old girl is more feral than ever - backchatting. Even her back up away from me, which used to be her party piece, is now interspersed with bows and backchat . Oh qwell, we'll see how things go. Yes, not long now. Don't worry about me forgetting the woollies - it's been cold at night here too. See you really soon. -

Dancing With Dogs Freestyle & Heelwork To Music
Tassie replied to kallistar's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Yeap sure do.. especially when you have very limited time to "fix" things.. not sure whether to pull the pin or just go with the flow on the day. Honestly she can be really hard work at times cause she's not Miss Realiable like Tux was.. as she likes to go off with the pixies at times. Where are you staying over here? It's a girl thing I think  . I was trying to do a bit with mine this afternoon before I ran out of light, and Kirra was right OTT .. backchatting, throwing behaviours and herself at me ... . Rory was doing better, though still needs quite a lot of polishing. I've booked a dog friendly cottage at Gisborne South.... about half an hour from Bulla I think. Really looking. Forward to catching up. :) Really looking forward to catching up. -
Wow ... then their achievements are a real tribute to you and them .

kallistar. Don't you hate it when they do that. My main problem at the moment is finding time to do more than bits and pieces, Work gets in the way, and daylight hours so short down here. No big spaces inside my house. And then there are the new family members .. my two Norwegian Forest kittens .. 5.5 months now. They are inside/confined to enclosure kittens ... bit of a challenge in an open plan house  -
What a good weekend for you and the girls, piper! Must have been very satisfying - especially with Aretha when she doesn't live with you. I'd love to be able to do some sheep stuff with Rory - but realistically - no time - one day maybe when I can get to sheep more often.
-
That's super RS - wonderful results.

Just saw this - probably well known - but it doesn't hurt to repeat it. Spinosad safety information

That's an awesome Q percentage, xena98 - good girl Gabby.

My brother and SIL adopted an adult Chihuahua .. retired breeder bitch. She was a bit nervous for a while ... maybe a few weeks ... but is very settled and happy now .. a delightful cheeky girl. She'd actually make an awesome little obedience dog .. she's smart as a whip. Your new little one may take a little time, but she should settle on beautifully with time, :)

Happy birthday handsome (and spoilt ????)lad. Love the goofy BC boys. My Rory is just a few months younger ????.

When You Stay In Dog Friendly Accommodation
Tassie replied to sheena's topic in General Dog Discussion
I'm another one who sticks by the rules of the place I'm staying .. which I make sure I know up front. My two are allowed on furniture and bed if they wish, at home, but have no difficulty with not being allowed on furniture or on beds in dog friendly accommodation. They have their soft crates, which they often snooze in in the evenings (doors unzipped) and the sleep in with doors zipped when I can't supervise them. I am really grateful for the great places we have stayed, in all states ... and I'd hate to see the supply reduced. -
Nice! Have fun at nationals ????.
-
Nice brag. You two are going to have lots of fun I think. :D

CK ... 100 to qualify in Excellent - that is hard!!... As you say - only takes a delayed sit, or a moment's inattention. My boy is a pretty good Rally dog, but we've only got 2 100s in our career, I think - some 99 and 98 - usually around 96 - mostly because his mother makes mistakes LOL. I must say, I think it's good to aim for perfection, but I think requiring it could be quite a downer for the sport. I do like the idea of reduced entry fees for the second class in the pair. I think there are a few clubs here doing that. Certainly makes trialling a bit ore affordable, especially if you have 2 dogs doing RAE. Best of luck to you in your upcoming quad.
-
CaseyKay - look at all those goals being achieved! Know what you mean about RAE - it's a long (and expensive) haul - but fun. We occasionally have a triple Rally trial, which helps.
