  1. :D Thanks guys (told you I had no crafty abilities - and no imagination ). That will be a project for the school holidays I think - as will proofing Rory's stays so that he can actually be trusted in stays with other dogs, and maybe get through Novice, so we can actually use the solid jump . Now - some nifty solutions for the stay proofing??? We are making progress ... slowly.
  2. kathQ - attaching the material - with velcro or ......? (Bearing in mind I have no sewing machine and no crafty or handyperson abilities )
  3. Way to go Mason - the first of many trophies? :D
  4. I am sooo going to miss seeing you all at Nats - but it's going to be almost like being there, following your progress. @DSO and Nicole .... - you could PM Vickie (although she'll probably see this) - if she doesn't know, she'll know who does. :D
  5. Belated to OSS and murve! And yes - need photos or diagrams or something of the clever solid jump please
  6. How lovley is that. Years ago someone I knew had a GR who had gone blind, and another of her GRs took on the role of guide dog. It was just wonderful to watch.
  7. Sounds good, Sheena. I can't use "good girl" on course with Kirra, cos that's (accidentally) become the marker for "treat is coming", and she turns in to me . And after costing us a nice ADM Q (and being told off by the judge - a friend )the other day when I spoke to urge her on, and she pulled the last bar because she was trying to work out what I was telling her, I very consciously just shut up at the last trial on the straight runs home, and she did them beautifully.
  8. Mine has been shipped too!! So hopefully will avoid the worst of the Christmas mail slow stuff - can't wait!
  9. CR must be pretty pleased with the success of the campaign.
  10. Well said - lovely people and great dogs - I knew them from tracking. So very very sad.
  11. What a beautiful photo - she sounds as though she was a beautiful dog. So very sad.
  12. I sent mine in - got an email back saying to put a note in the Comments section to Customer Service saying that the goods should be on free shipping. So I did that - and have fingers firmly crossed.
  13. OSS - well done to you and your lovely dogs.
  14. Terribly sad - but better to know the worst, than never to know. Condolences to you Sway and Willow's owner.
  15. You're not trying Ptolomy - I put mine in - $371 .... and who said anything about "need"
  16. Now I'm really starting to get envious - and will really be missing the catchups with interstate peeps - but gotta be realistic - Kirra will be 10.5, and although I hope we'll still be having fun competing, Nats is a bit big of an ask. And I've been slack, and haven't got lil big man Rory competing in agility yet - that's a next year project, but again, he wouldn't be ready for Nationals.
  17. Found this on Dogs NSW site Dogs NSW calendar and it might be quickest to contact the club Manly club
  18. Yep - another for isqueaks (thanks WAers) - and mine both love Kong wubbas.
  19. AP ... hey - it's only money - and yes - I did include the one cool coat I didn't get last time - the Chilly Buddy. Still waiting to put the order in though - it's only 2.40 in the morning there, so no wonder we haven't got replies to our emails about how to organise the free shipping. There'll probably be so many orders from Oz going in all at once that we'll kill the site - oh no
  20. You're not even trying, AP - mine is over $300 - this helps explain why this poor old lady is still working when she should be retired - gotta feed the doggy habit. ;)
  21. TSD. Well Ive just been booking accommodation in Queensland for a workshop in July - my consolation prize for not going to Nats this year. ETA - I booked my accommodation for Perth at least this far ahead, if not further.
  22. I just got my last free shipping package on Monday - hasn't stopped me though . I emailed them too - but it's the middle of the night there. Hmmm - will I try the fix that's been mentioned here - or just wait for an answer, and maybe add to my list - what a dilemma D##n you CR
  23. Yep - couple of people I train with have had good results with a target stick - one with a cav, and the other with a tiny Papillon. I've got a couple of different ones - one with the clicker in the handle - worth it I reckon - not that I'd be encouraging you .....
  24. Love the blue tongues - although the one that came into my house the other day gave the dogs a scare - luckily they jumped back out of the way - hope they would do the same with a snake. I took the lizard up the back to find a nice refuge in a wood pile. I know I've got a really small one around near the house too - nearly mowed it the other day - don't know who got more of a fright. :D
