oh wow I am so sorry for your loss, he reached an amazing age. :D
  4. welcome daniel, you have a gorgeous girl there. To answer your question, no blues are not rare and are pretty common now.
  5. Isn't it just! Poor Dobe...but it sure is funny Kylie, your art work is amazing. Especially the Dobes! I checked out your website last night...you have such a special talent. Wow! :D aww thanks :D I am glad you like my work ^_^
  6. omg the dobe and bone is soo cute!!! i love how the dobe whines at the end, it sounds like "awww heeeelp"
  7. they didnt always have big chests here is some photos of dobermanns in WWII, in all these pics its clear the chest was not protruding out like they do in many dobes today. same as in this video the history photos the dobermanns chest was quite normal and was near in line with the shoulders at the front.
  8. omg your so lucky I cant afford to yet (jobless) but once everything is sorted I hope to one day get a puppy from federico or garrison.
  9. I personally prefer the flatter chests on the dobes, like how they were years ago, alot of dobermanns today have very broad chests (federico has a bit of a chest but he still looks gorgeous, the ones i am on about are the ones where the chest really protrudes out from the body) I am unsure why people are breeding broader chests, what is the purpose?
  10. oh forget the ears, its the body and the face i love the ears dont make a dog.
  11. really? I have to admit I absolutely adore garrison moravia heart and federico moravia heart, gorgeous boys! oh and Layne's Burkhard von Schlottke I just love how rich and dark his brown coat is!
  12. oh im a sucker for dobermanns, hes gorgeous! he does have a bit too much chest for me though
  13. they look in good weight to me, most of the acd's i see are fat and overweight, so its good to see them in a nice shape for a change. I believe the dog was merely doing the behaviour because it knew the reaction it would get was the person to laugh. It didnt look confused at all.
  14. gorgeous photos, you really captured the beauty in the Shar Peis!
  15. if the dog is yawning I heard that this was a calming signal
  16. If they want to really deter it they would start using the maximum penalty.
  17. thus why I would trust a breeder more than a website.. As I said, one website can say they dont need much exercise but then you hear from a breeder they need ALOT of exercise. as for the second part I would be worried if a breeder isn't willing to tell you the good and bad and also the health problems in their breed of choice.
  18. if you havent noticed, those hundreds and thousands of websites about poodle health problems or ANY type of information about your breed of choice comes up with various results, often alot of the information is not very helpful or is incorrect. These websites are often made by regular dog owners, back yard breeders and people of all sorts. If I want to get a breed of choice I would ask a breeder for their opinion and information about the breed as they would know more about the breed and would also know the ins and outs.. You cant just rely on websites to give you information, especially when its so varied. One site says a breed doesn't need walks, another says the opposite. I asked a breeder about dobermanns as I wanted their opinion on the breed on care, health and exercise requirements, I also like to hear a bit of history and the temperament of their dogs. I would expect any breeder to have a knowledge of their breed, more than an average dog owner. ESPECIALLY if they truly want to better the breed and ensure healthy dogs with a good temperament. If your not willing to even help people interested in your breed and get them to understand the breeds requirements to ensure they can supply the dog with a happy and healthy life, then you should really reconsider why you want to breed. Not every puppy is going to be a grand champion, and not every person interested in a breed knows much about them. That's why people ask breeders about their dogs, as they know how much the breed requires. Websites are NOT always a reliable source of information. and the average person will NOT know which information is correct.
  19. oh I just read the news of magnus, how sad such horrible news. I am glad to hear jed is no worse though, that is good news, I hope she recovers quickly. I will keep sending healing vibes her way.
  20. when i saw videos of this months back, i thought it was a joke.. now that its out its surprising, its great, but at the same time.. I kind of agree with persephones concerns about legit photographs now.
  21. the first one is a brilliant shot
  22. sending good wishes to jed and family such a tragic thing to hear.. Jed had only posted last night..
  23. wouldnt jane first need to ask herself why she wants to breed? does she want to improve the breed, be it temperament or quality, or does she just want to breed just because she likes the breed and wants to make more?
