OOoh will check it out :) -
I worked at one clinic where we all took our dogs in. We had two Dobes, one Anatolian and a Vizsla. Along with the clinic cat. The next vet hospital I worked at had a no pet policy but I asked for permission from time to time and brought my dog to work. She stayed on her bed when told so was t an issue plus they had a fully fenced backyard. Now my dogs come to work with me everyday, but I do own and run my own kennels so that explains that :)

Oooh me me me me me please :) My boys Will get a doggy one shortly, just have to shrink it :) -
Yes it was my understanding that the bitch only releases eggs once so you won't have puppies that are 5 days younger then their litter mates. That is part of the reason I let them decide. I figure dogs have been doing it for many many years and it is the dog and bitch I have at home so I don't need to be worried about using an outside dog at this stage. Down the track maybe but if I do then she will be in the city which will make any required testing much easier, cheaper and results would be recieved quickly. Now I wait and see :)

OH SL, how awful for you. Sending lots of healing vibes to your boy and lots of hugs to you. We are thinking of you both tonight

Anyone who likes bull breeds or has a bull breed is a bogan, didn't you know?! Absolutely, and anyone who owns a sighthound is one of the jet setting beautiful people. 'Course they are, they are also fit and lithe and..................well you know :)

When in the midst of fleeing Guinea Pigs - one who run rght between the front legs of my Whippet then bolted away - that when I roared leave it, they did and backed a good 6 feet away and watched me catching said piggies who's house had flipped over in a sudden willy willy. Never thought they would respond that well EVER. Proud mummy moment :)

Couldn't agree more and very well said. I have owned large breeds and more than one at a time. I was and am very mindful of what I have in my yard and on the end of my leash.

Yes that as well as supporting Australian companies. -
American Bulldogs are not ANKC registered. It does not mean they do not exist.

Interesting I wonder how they get dog bite statistics - I am going to find out now it has peaked my interest!!
-
Thre has to be more to it than that surely. And yes to leave a dog by itself is not good but to leave one you know is unwell is just plain neglectful

I also was of the belief that any dog bites where reported by the hospital the person was initially treated by. When I took a vet nurse in to have her rather deep bite wounds treated they asked what had happened where and breed. We did explain the dog was trying to die at the time and therefore was panicking
