Blackhawk, Artemis Or Holistic Select

Okay yep you could look at it that way for sure. I look at it from the view that the VAN mix is not cooked, or processed apart from the rolled oats and there is a little dried stuff, but it isn't cooked or processed so therefore raw - in my way of thinking :) I didn't see it as bagging was just interested. -

Why is VAN and raw meat not fully raw? -
I watched them curl up on there tonight and informed the OH that I could fit four on there................he didn't say much! Mine drape over each other so no issues with not wanting to share here :)

You did the right thing, I second or third?? going to the dog or hospital and getting it checked and a record of the injuries.

What a brilliant little man, fantastic to see :) I know where I would be looking if I was after a Frenchie thats for sure :) I love training for and doing the ET with my dogs, I have titled two now of different breeds. I did get asked both times if my dogs ever got excited about anything as their heart rates were very low and they would stand there half asleep and looking bored during vet checks etc :)

Yep your brain will hurt. Petplan is either the only one or one of few that will cover your dog up to the maximum insured each year even for a long term condition. Most cover your dog up the maximum once then no longer. Hope that makes sense??? I am about to insure my third :)

That's great news, hopefully you find an answer very soon -
I would so love to be there. Have a great day :)

I did see some footage showing a dog being taken to a van, I am not sure if it was one of the dogs though, or generic footage. I have to say that if dogs have inflicted that sort of damage, regardless of breed, euthing is the only option.

MIne line up to get their nails cut. Lewis hated it when I first got him, now he tolerates it really well and seems so pleased with himself that he managed to get through it afterwards and so gets excited about havinf them done :) Rommi commando rolls into my lap feet upwards to get hers done first. The puppies are 6 weeks on Sunday and I have lost count how often I have trimmed their little talons - around 5 times I think! Rommi has naturally long quicks, Lewis short ones. The Sphynx nails grow at a ridiculous rate, I think all the keratin from their missing hair goes into nail production! They get bathed and nails trimedd every week to fortnight in Summer and less often in winter. Generally mine are done fortnightly

What a brilliant update, I am so pleased. It is also fantastic you both have such a great support network. -
One of the kennels here is run by managers and they are there only morning and evening. Our local laws state someone muct be one site or sufficiently close to keep an eye ont he dogs and be able to respond quickly in an emergency situation. The shires position is no-one has complained therefore there is nothing they can do - which I think is rubbish.

When they come the first time. I accept some dogs cannot skid to a stop, I accept some do a large arc, but they must be slowing, turning, reponding on the first call and have attention turned to the handler. Just the other day our manic working BC took off after a calf who had just gotten through a fence and got a hell of a boot so was bolting. I just saw something large and brown disappearing into the trees followed by the BC at full pace. I thought Roo. I gave one very loud very forceful yell of his name, he immediately put the brakes on, turned and came back - HUGE reward. He is manic about working and only 9 months old - very impressed and I consider that reliable voice control

Good puppy, you tell them off for not being at your beck and call with immediate responses!!! -
Wow that is a large amount of babies, bummer about the C-section but yay for healthy active babies

It is awful to see that. That poor pup is do lucky you were there. I once had a similar thing happen. I once was on my way back to work. A ute turned from a side road onto the main road I was on but in the other direction. As he accelerated around the corner I saw a young cattle dog come off the ute and land flat on her back in the middle of the road. I immediately turned into the road and stopped traffic and carefully tried to catch a very distressed young dog. I succeeded but not after a bloody imbicile honked his horn at me and the dog from a few feet away. The poor dog ran - luckily not far, I gave him a mouthful and then managed to catch her, upon which he recieved another mouthful from me and another passerby who stopped to help. Luckily she was very shaken but essentially uninjured. I couldn't believe the people who went around her having just seen her fall off the ute, or yelled at her to get out of the way. The owner returned shortly afterwards and after copping a lecture, put her in the ute and drive off.
