I worked in vet hospitals for 15 years, I had to clean the chairs, I had no issue with it and still do not see the issue with it. Having said that we had plastic cleanable chairs. I got more annoyed if they pissed on cupboards, desks or merchandise. I am surprised that so many people are do venemently anti it. They are dogs you are not going to get any more germs sitting on a seat after a dog than patting a dog or sitting next to one on the floor. I have to say I just don't get it????

I never put my cat crates on the floor, so many imbeciles let their dogs go straight up to them
-
Don't worry about those with their own agenda's. You have not caused any issues with any people that did not already have them :) A little more idea of timeline would be beneficial.

Our vet has plastic easily cleaned and disinfected chairs

Never heard it from my vet, my dogs have sat on seats in the past. When I worked there it never bothered me. If they were sitting on chairs they were not cocking their legs on counters and displays. I can't see the issue, unless of course there are people wanting a seat .

Hahaha Weasel that's very funny. Lewis and Wilson play bitey face all the time - with lots of noise!!! Rommi is the fun police so it is not something her and Lewis have ever done. I think Lewis thinks that is the sole reason to have kids - someone to play bitey face with. Interesting though as Wilson has been teething, very occasionally it has looked like someone has tried to rip off Lewis's legs and cut his throat :)

You are in a really hard place at the moment but I really applaud you for looking at the situation with the dogs best interests foremost. I hope things do work out but know if they don't quite go the way you originally hoped it was not because you didnt try and it was because you put her well being before your own

Actually had a conversation with someone recently who wants a small dog next as they don't have the time to put into training a larger one..................okay then.

Have never heard of that, looks like a gorgeous little dog though :)

I like genetics :)

Excatly! OH and I do remember hearing about this before now. Yes it is permanent. I would imaging good for ferals and strays, we could probably use some in some areas around OZ but buggered if I would castrate my good working dog!
-
Is that a bit like suprelorin? And are they aiming for 100% desexing rate??? I would have thought 90% was actually quite good. I also don't see why the bloke with the entire cattle dog should feel do pushed to have to do something. If he is responsible then what's the issue???? ETA-sorry I thought the dog rate was 90%, but 80% is still quite good. I wonder what our stats would be?
