Got my helmet today, so that is taken care of -
I agree with what others have posted, but what I have done also with my breeder is she will send me photos of her puppies, I would critique them as I saw it, she would then tell me what she thought and why. It has been extremely helpful. It was also very helpful in helping me figure out what I was looking for in a puppy and how that puppy then looked as an adult. It really really helps to have someone who is very open and helpful like this. And most of all be a sponge!

Don't The Rules Apply To You Or Something?
OSoSwift replied to Maxiewolf's topic in General Dog Discussion
UNfortunately many people in life think the rules do not apply to them, they are somehow different, or their dog is or they are better or something. IF she does it again get her fined, then she may think about it! -

I don't have a problem with nature cloning - nature seems to be the best at doing ...well nature. I don't think humans should interfere and clone things. Embryo transfer is a little different as the progeny is the result of two different lots of genes, yes there are more babies produced than would naturally occure, but it does have it's place. I have cattle that have ET back in their pedigree. Cloning has never sat well with me, sheep, horses, dogs anything. I cannot see how cloning will diversify genetic pools or take any animals forward. To me the whole point is to use very very good animals and breed forward to breed more very very good animals, not just rinse and repeat over and over. -
Now that is a very cool present (even if it isn't a kindle!!) Your OH rocks Hope you had a great birthday

Less than two weeks Kinda nervous and excited all at once!! Was biking this evening - it was freezing! - and passed OH on the track tootling off on the tractor to do something. He asked why the dog wasn't puffing, but I was, then told me if I listened to St Elmo's fire through head phones it might help!!!! Thanks helpful OH!! hahahah I didn't think I was quite that bad, I had just gone up a hill! -

Awesome :D I can do whatever dimensions you would like if you have a specific in mind. Currently I have made 20x20cm, 20x30cm, and 20x40cm (with 2, 3 and 4 channels). If these sizes don't suit, just let me know. I am making Ptolomy a couple at a larger size (though I haven't measured it out yet). You have a choice currently between burgundy, navy blue and light blue corduroy fabric. I can have the wheat bags for you when you come up to Perth if you like. Good thing about the Cool Mats, is they weigh practically nothing (when dry) so are cheap as chips to post. The wheat bags would cost more to post Hmmm okay, I am thinking a 20 X 30 for now, good size for when my back seizes up after shovelling!!!!! At this stage I am coming to Perth so it would be good to pick one up then. How much are they ?? A 20x30cm is $8 What colour do you want, and just the one? Will make more this weekend, just need to buy a replacement needle for the machine, I broke it! Wow is that all, I will have two please and I don't care about colour Any will do. I have accomodation all sorted, all of us can go and the dogs are more than welcome. IT's not what you know some times, but who you know Can't complain about a house on the beach now can I :D So ET trial and onedience trial here we come :) - Can you tell I am happy!!!

MTS - each adn every dog has different caloric requirements. The bais thing is if they are over weight they are getting more calories than they need. Sounds like youa re onto it though
-
What a great little dog, I loved it all, but how good was he with his agility - I am impressed - he is so fit, happy and well trained
-
I agree halve her food, she does look like she has put weight on.

MOst certainly, My first dog was a Rotti, Unfortunately she was BYB and had OCD in her elbows and had to be euthed young, but the very best dog. One day I hope I can bring myself to have another For now I will just love everyone elses :D -
I use a metric measuring cup. My Whippet in ET training gets 2 cups per day, my other Whippet gets 1 to 1 and a quarter depending on the day. Let they get lots of free running and exercise
