  1. Wendy Fancote - Barcoo Collies is the WA Black Hawk distributor in Perth, [email protected] . Very regular deliveries for a cheap price and a lovely lady. My vet had to order in the trienniel vaccine as they do not recommend it or want to do it and it cost me more then getting yearly vaccines. I have no other choice. Mine get one at the breeder, then one after 12 weeks then a yearly booster then every 3 years thereafter.
  2. Sorry to hear that Jules, Hopefully it is managed with food and she has a long and healthy life.
  3. I guess from my point of view IF i take my dogs somewhere I make sure to the best of my ability that there are no issues as I want to be able to take them back You hopefully find that everyone gets along and the dogs become play mates. I can understand you are worried, a young Boxer is a very playful being, but they can quite often moderate their play. Hope all works out just fine
  4. OH no.....sorry Kirislin but I did giggle.......just a little......... Maybe try getting some preen carpet cleaner (spot test first of course) and spray the stain with that, give a little scrub - not to hard- with a nail brush then use a thick tea towel or towel to press onto the stain to soak it and the cleaner up. One you have it out or most of it, rinse with water and then soak that up. Works well for me on the stains the kids throw at me!! but  ........sorry
  5. Go Louis you little hunter one less very nasty rodent to try to get in the house and freak everyone out - ewww germy ratties Happy birthday handsome little Bear - cannot believe it has been a whole year, I remember all the excitment when you first arrived
  6. There used to be quite a few down here. Less now there has been restrictions brought in, now we have lots of Am Staffs and crosses.
  7. I guess whether or not he will be ready in 4 to 5 weeks will depend a reasonable amount on him as an individual. Some dogs gain muscle and tone up more quickly than others. My Whippet had a suprelorin implant while I was training for his ET trial. I had no issues gaining or maintaining fitness and muscle with him. I also feed Black hawk and have found they keep condition well and do not run to fat - none of my dogs of varying breed ever have though?? - and have lovely coats, skin and muscle tone. I would say swimming and walking and slow jogging would be the best to get him fit and tone muscle.
  8. Hi baby Gibbs - you are very handsome and very very cute :D
  9. I think you can only get Vetmedin via your vet. I can fully sympathise as my girl was diagnosed at 8 and a half. I didn't throw balls for her or take her running or anything, but other than that I let her self exercise. I figured if she had a hreatattack running with her toy, well at least she died happy. Clicker training will give him lots of metal stimulation without too much physical effort as well. It is a terrible disease so you have my empathy and I hope he goes well.
  10. Awww have a great Time MAson, yes daunting but also very exciting. Bedazzled - OMG he is NOT little anymore
  11. hillareous, glad you are feeling better, but oh my - **little tearies**
  12. LOving that rolled collar - disclaimer I AM a collar addict - however I could really see that collar on a couple of slender Whippet necks.
  13. Hello Jerry you nadsome lil dude, Buzz will be over the moon I imagine Glad you guys had a great day RV how cute is she heeling next to people for a treat - awwww.
  14. MIne are in lovely hard condition and don't run to fat at all. They do get quite a bit of exercise but they look just as good if not better as they did on their other food.
  15. No good on the results Ptolomy, hope next week is better for you. Yep Mason been there myself, sometimes a dog that just does not work out with you may suit someone else totally - just one of those things.
  16. Great to hear RV - you deserve it She is gorgeous YOU really begin to question wether or not it is your fault when you have an experience like you have had, then you get a dog who is totally the opposite and realise that it wasn't and it can be fun.
  17. I feed Black Hawk along with other stuff, like bones, meat sardines, yoghurt etc. Nice firm poops with little smell, they haven't put on much weight but they were on a good food prior to BH anyway.
  18. I have just stocked up on dog food and with treats as well. We also have just picked up our beef so have boxes of beef bones as well.....doggies are VERY happy pooches tonight
  19. ZZ You did I wasn't refering to your comments, I was refering to Chevornes comments. And you are right it potentially wouldn't have been news worthy if not for the other deadly attack those few days earlier
  20. Yep Sheena I agree, growing dogs need up to 60% more calories while they are growing compared to maintaining an adult dog
  21. What happened to this lady IS an attack. A person does not need plastic surgery or have a limb half torn off to be classed as an attack. If that happened to me I would say the dogs attacked me, one bit her it's intent was quite clear, she didn't back them in a corner the confronted her. Quite simple in my mind!
  22. Having Whippets and not liking my dogs to be overweight at all I did not notice any change in flab/muscle when swapping over, but Lewis trained for his Endurance title easily, built up heaps of muscle and was very fit and the main part of his diet was Black Hawk.
  23. Your new boy looks lovely, and of course Jack is handsome also
