  1. Not good news and yep you are right to stay with your dad. Lots of hugs from us. There have been to many people and dogs lost this year.
  2. Very well done on your passes, the next ones will be much easier Our next trial is November, so had a bit of a training rest and then back into it again for us.
  3. Out of all the Pitbulls I have met, and there have been quite a few since we did have a reasonable amount for a smaller country town, only two had dodgy temperments with people. One had a horrendous upbrining so that is why she would have been a fear biter and the other, not really sure but he did have to be muzzled. The rest were laid back, easy going wiggle bums who were actually good to treat at the vet hospital as they have a very good pain tolerance and had such stable temperments. I would prefer to have a Pitty over many other more widely known breeds in a verterinary hospital situation
  4. We have a pair of Crested Pigeons nesting in our Wonga Vine. I have been able to watch them from eggs until now young adults. They quite often have a little rest in the grass just next to the vine but out of the wind. Gorgeous little things
  5. That is all sounding really good. Keep going the way you are little fella
  6. Great news, sending lots of keep going strongly vibes to her kidneys and liver
  7. No there isn't Jules and I wasn't saying that, sorry if it came across that way. I was saying that if I couldn't not afford treatment of a condition I would euthanase the dog and definately not give it away. In this case I would try diet first and other supportive measures and see how that panned out well before I thought about euth or rehoming.
  8. hahahahaa well that plan failed didn't it Teebs :D Very cute baby though
  9. Great update. They can take a bit to recover from a black snake, especially if it has been a while from bite to treatment. HOnestly to go that long between bite and treatment and to be doing as well as she is gives testament to her good character and strength. Goooo China
  10. This. If I couldn't afford treatment I would euth not palm the dog off. I love mine too much for that
  11. neither of mine smell, entire male or female. It is more likely to be a skin issue or maybe what they are being fed, even one may have more or less undercoat than the other
  12. congratulations what a great run - I dream about runs like that :D
  13. I would love a small dog related tattoo, but am a bit scared - well a lot scared, not so much of the pain, but that fact my mother would probably remove it herself if she saw it!!!!!
  14. Mine don't seem to. I was told within 5 years they usually grow out, mine has been in a little **cough** bit longer than that and the hole shrinks a little if the bar has been out for a bit, but if you have a warm shower or bath then out it in it goes in easily and the skin stretches a bit so it doesn't get sore or red. I was like oh well if it grows out after 5 years, so be it and I won't get it done again. Seems to be keen on staying
  15. I got my belly ring in when I was 23 I think. I left the ring out for nearly a year as I was pregnant then didn't put it back in, then when I did one young child kept trying to grad it and lift my shirt and grab it, so took it out for ages again. Found the ring in a drawer, stuck it back in and I still have it ummm a few ***cough*** years later
  16. hahahaha didn't take him long to get his own way did it have a good night!! hehehehe
  17. WHen I was googling that was what I had found and thought that it was best not to go there as it would likely be different. You are doing such a great job of getting it up and running AS and I can imagine that it would be very frustrating at times. Thank you for your effort. The email was extremely helpful. I can at least read through adn get an idea of what goes on. Had a quick look through and it looks really interesting
  18. If someone got a pup and realised they couldn't keep it or had made a mistake and contacted me I would take the pup back and pay flights. If down the track they wanted a pup again then after talking with them and as long as they had been honest they would be considered for another puppy down the track. If they didn't contact me and got rid of the pup and contacted me down the track they would get told to get on their bike. Sometimes people make mistakes or the just do not click with the pup they have. Honesty will get you a whole lot further that not saying a thing. The dog world is a very small place
  19. CAn anyone give me a link for the Rally-o rules and regs please
  20. Sounds a bit like she did. I have only had dogs dislocate toes and then I have accidentally relocated their toes, feels a bit yuk under the fingers!!! If she has she may well be quite sore so softer food in bite size chunks is good so cubes of meat of cubes of dog roll. Theya re easy for her to pick and and get to the back of her mouth without too much effort. A trip to the vets int he morning is a good idea, they can presribe pain killers/anti-inflammatories if required. Having dislocated and then relocated my own finger I can tell you when it is out it hurts like hell, as soon as it is back in the pain is only quite slight but it does swell and is tender for a while. Having done it once she is more likely to potentially do it again now that everything has been stretched especially in the time just after the initial episode. Poor love hope she is okay and not to uncomfortable
  21. hmm yep he wouldn't get pinged as a APBT X would he, that leg looks totally twisted - a small deformity???
  22. If it was mine I would be ropeable if not informed and would pay to fly my pup home so it was safe and did not end up with some random person.
