Me too want to know what a "munted" one is my mind boggles!!! would she have ment one with a mutation ???? - but honestly dealing with some potential owners sure has its moments!!!! But gotta add the really good ones make up for it - and there are some of those. Well I am guessing runt as she did she she was happy to have a runt, but she also said an odd looking one or one with something not quite right?????? I am not quite sure really but yes munted!!

With pleasure :D

report her to the police - she is an oxygen thief and should be punished. Poisoning is an awful way for a dog to die.

I wish this bloody blowing a gale weather would rack off!! I live on the side of a hill and while we have trees there are still trying to grow and fill out. It is so windy there is no chance of trying to train the dogs as I get blown off balance and no way would I attempt any a-frames or dog walks. Not only that the bars won't stay up on the jumps ggrrrrrrr. Want to get some training in before Albany!!!!

I was cornered by someone downtown a month or so ago when I had the Whippets with me. Anyway long conversation later she asks the cost of a puppy (wouldn't sell her a pet rock - I know her from working for years at the vets locally) I give her a price. hmmmm she says that is more than I can afford (which I knew it would be). But if you have one you can't sell, like one that is munted, I am happy to give one like that a home, I am open to things like that. I love Whippets and have wanted one forever so if you get a munted one let me know and I will take it off your hands.

I didn't grow up with dogs shows, were none in the area I grew up at all. My first dog as a BYB dog. I saw a beautiful example of a pedigree dog asked where she got him from and went from there. I got a dog, the breeder helped me out, ended up he wasn't show quality but it peaked my interest. Got a bitch from the same breeder, she got her title among other titles. I have taken many people on road trips with me, invited them to come along and helped as much as I could. I have a friend with a BYB bitch whom is desexed and she is doing obedience with, she is now looking at getting into showing as well and is researching her next dog. I have helpoed people when they have had issues getting their papers for their dogs, really it doesn't take much to be polite and helpful. Many of the people who have gotten into trialing and showing never would have if I had not invited them along and helped them as best I could. I am reasonably novice myself, but I used my own initive to get it happening and some others have no idea how to get it happening so I help them. A smile and a few manners are free and the more people you help the more likely the show world is to go into the future in a strong position. Being precious is not helping the general public perception. I agree dog shows need to be more accessible and understandable for the general public. Oh I do remember once speaking to a breeder at a show about a breed my husband was interested in. When I asked the general price of a pup, he said more than you could afford! Arrogent twat. No matter I purchased a far superior dog off a breed for a lesser price :D

I have flown black Dobes before and never had an issue with staff being worried about them. I put a thingo ontop of the crate that has the flight number times etc, my name and mobile plus an emergency contact and a little line that reads My name is Angel and I am very friendly. I heard one of them chatting to hear when I went to pick her up and he was like oh hello Angel, etc etc and her little stump was wagging, not as much as normal but the fact someone knew her name. I would get him used to being crated with you away from him before he goes. I would not recommend sedating him at all.

We have had a few pups died down here recently all up to date with vaccinations and under 12 months of age. Very sad

Smacka I have no idea why the attitude but NO-ONE here has said shows are beauty pagents etc, it has been said the the AVERAGE JOE BLOW thinks that. If that is the case - and yes I ahve also been told similar thing by the average public, then we need to figure out how to chage the average publics perception instead of saying what crap no-one thinks that yadda yadda. I can tell you now I come from a country town (pop 14000) where there are three people that travel for trials etc and one travels for shows - ME!!!!! I have been told I am weird, don't care about my dogs only about winning, why would I compete in a beauty pagent etc etc. I have been abused for having my dog entire and even moreso for saying I am going to breed a litter, when I should be saving a shelter dog. For every dog I breed a shelter dog dies and all that crap. Luckily I have a strong personality and it is water off a ducks back and I know that I love my dogs and I show -and do obedience with them - because I enjoy it. I am regarded as the mad dog lady and I am not fussed, but many many people think people who breed and show are strange and what is the point of a beauty contest. So I suggest you get your head out of the sand and before you attack people who are actually on the same side as you you go out there and discover what the general public actually do think and then think of ways to counteract that.

Absolutely bucketing down in the south, now! Ahhh love to listen to the rain when I don't have to be out in it :D But hope for your sake mirawee that it stops! Ruby and Millie saw Tracy today for their first Bowen session. Millie was a bit sore in a shoulder and her buttocks But nothing severe so doesn't need a follow up session. I mentioned to Tracy about Millie being a bit incontinent when she drinks heaps of water and weeing herself when she is asleep. So she did her thang down in Millie's private areas and says that should fix it And if in summer she is starting to suffer from it again to come and see her again when it's happening as she can treat it then. Awesome! If this natural way works then I won't need to put her on medication for it Worth a shot I say :D Millie was so at ease for a lot of it, she was laying on the table for belly rubs My poor Ruby, I knew she was sore. Turns out she was very sore Pinched nerves in her shoulders with her left shoulder worse, causing her to not be able to extend her front legs and short stepping. It went diagnally across her back to her right hind leg so it kind of explains why on recalls/retrieves she comes into me at a diagonal She is booked in for a follow up session in 10 days. Tracy reckons she should be good as gold come the weekend Here's hoping I see the results I'm after :D Lewis did similar things, not reaching in his stride, one back leg not quite reaching as it should and when he stood naturally himself he tended to a-frame slightly and drop his wither. Now no signs of most of it, but sometimes when he pulls peccy zoomies and doesn't quite pull it off we have to go visit again

For Those That Have Used The Suprelorin Implant
OSoSwift replied to OSoSwift's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Well wouldn't that annoy the crap out of you!!!!! I actually prefer his temperment etc when he isn't on it so unless he has a medical issue he will be left entire. We will ahve to see if the condition he had before returns and then decide what to do if it does. I won't be using it again unless absolutely necessary! We are collecting him in around 7 to 10 days (when our teaser is standing) so will let you know the results. From what the company says it will be too early but I have someone else wishing to use him at stud so want to make sure what is going on. If it was my own I would mate them and see what happened!!! -
Would You Take A Class In Reading Dog Body Language?
OSoSwift replied to corvus's topic in General Dog Discussion
would depend on who was teaching it. Also how basic it is. Yes I think many people have no idea of even the most basic of things that a dog is trying to say. -

Wow that many in 300, I would never have guessed. I guess most of your herding/working type breeds seen in agility would fall into the 500 class. My previous dog was 600 but they were all together way back then. -

I think to become a champion it should require a certain number of placings, not just the numebr of passes. An AgCh is something special and should not be gained too easily
