  1. Oh gorgeous, Christmas babies. Can't wait for photos
  2. great that she is going home soon and yes your Blues are gorgeous Oh and I also hope my dogs go your way if they ever get lost
  3. He looks perfect and yes the leaner the better if he has joint issues (within reason of course ) I always find that my idea of ideal is quite often a kilo or so less than most people - on an average dog of course, not a teeny one :D
  4. How did you go??? have you found any solutions and no shredded things?? S&F I had this visual pop up in me head of potential aftermath if doggy was not the best inside. It was something along the lines of what happened when my uncle let my mums dog inside once whent hey were not home. She was fine outside, but accidentally lock her in and she mega freaked out!!!! Needless to say there was more than one pair of new curtains and blinds, carpet mats and cushions and lots of messes to clean up. Mum was not amused.
  5. I find rear crosses easier with mine, especially Lewis. Rommi is a little easier to front cross as she tends to watch a bit more and isn't as fast - and when I have to run three one after the other I say thank goodness for that!
  6. SO it's more to see if they they will leave the handlers side go over the jump and return to heel position. I like that idea, that means that older dogs can still compete even if they are not as active as when they were younger
  7. I have been told a very light wipe over with Lavender Oil, must taste awful as they only do it once or twice.
  8. And people think it is all the registered breeders who are pumping out too many puppies!!!!! Well the general public anyway. I know of very few bitches that have had that many litters with a 6th in the planning!
  9. I saw an add just recently for "English Staffies" on a Facebook page. Someone asked who the sire was as they were looking for a dog to put over their "English Stafford" bitch. The reply........Oh he wasn't ours our friend was dog sitting so we used him..................................... If anyone ever dared ever to do that to me, it would be holy shit batman you'd better leave town!!!!!!!
  10. welll she could leave the dog inside...................................to find out it shreds things, eats the walls and chews the doors off
  11. we get an offical measurement card, don't think it's for any particular dog sport, you just use it for whatever they need to know the height for.
  12. Christine, would you sell to someone who has a very secure dog yard - 8 foot high chain mesh, with snake mesh buried intot he ground with very secure dog runs attatched and wanted to have the dog outside with doggy company, when they were not home?? I am not trying to be inflammatory, but in my position my house gets very hot in the late afternoon and I have a real phobia about leaving dogs inside when I am not home, I keep thinking what if there was a fire - I have a totally non-logical issue with it. Mine are safer in my yard surrounded and with lovely green manicured grass than in the house( tha yard is not attached to the house but is close by. We do have lots of snakes and in 12 years so far I have never had one bitten. If I came to you for a dog would you say no based on the fact I would have the dog in a very secure area that was not the house when I was not home?
  13. Sorry the hear the News about Bondi what a brave and stoic girl she is. Poor Miilie I got bitten on my foot by and and holy cow - girlie bits would be faint material!!! Hope Rosie's schnozzle is better soon
  14. Our local hospital can alway use nurses
  15. Oh yes good question - have no idea ???
  16. I am not single but do all of the doggy looking after feeding, training, medication etc. I organise everything to do with all the animals the OH pats them I am a SAHM at the moment and I run some beef cattle so I only get paid once a year. Generally they are paid for out of my husbnads income, but insurance etc is paid for out of mine. We have three. one elderly and two younger Whippets. I find three easy to manage having the dogs I do now and would happily add a fourth(which would then go back to three after our elderly dog goes) Having three when I had two Dobes that hated each other was very stressful and I found that very hard. I also have acerage and don't ahve to pound pavements with the dogs, all the walks I go on are through our property which makes it much easier and I have a 5 acre house yard which is plenty as well.
  17. Oh my those Pointee babies are just devine!! My husband wants to stuff a Cav baby up his shirt and steal it - just gorgeous
  18. All the best and I hoper they find something fixable
  19. I always thought single 'n', but then I don't think I've even seen one in the flesh so my opinion doesn't hold much weight The older members of my family always used 'Alsation' rather than GSD too. The registered Name in Australia is Dobermann The registered name in the US is Doberman Pinscher
  20. I would love all chips to have details conected that have the puppy's breeder on them.
  21. That is the other thing that interests me. How many purebred dogs that show up in shelters are from registered breeders??? I know some are because I know someone who does rescue, but how many I wonder????
  22. Well clearly it's cos they can't herd and keep those Roo's in for you ;) (meant in a good natured way hoping I don't get bitten lol) And you know what is even funnier?................................... I do have some Roo's running loose in the top paddock, they short out my fence the buggers
