I have never had a storm phobic dog. Until yesterday. The however is our deaf partially blind old Stafford so I am thinking that is more of an old age related thing and he was unsettled and pacing but not panting or panicing. If they got slightly unsettled but were otherwise okay in the anxiety stakes then yeh maybe. If they went right off and would damage themselves then no.

My understanding is in WA you have yo be 18 yo to be in charge of a dog so walking it etc. If a student is doing work experience they should be fully supervised when handling the dogs. Sorry your grand daughter was injured

Sorry to hear he hasn't been well, but am very glad to hear he is home. OT but I met my first Wheatens a month ago. Two gorgeous little dogs. I do have to say I thought they would be bigger which I said to their owner. I was then informed one of them was large for a wheaten. They were showing and doing agility. Heard a good news story this morning. Lady rang me as her daughter has a Stafford with serious allergies. He was over 50%bald, extremely itchy with thickened skin. He was under veterinary care and even with all the medications he had to be basket muzzled when people were with him at times and also when no- one was with him as he would self mutilate and had in the past chewed a hole in his leg down to underlying tissue. He has been on BH for 4 weeks now and has grown back much of his coat it is softer and his skin more normal. The best bit is he is now only having to wear a basket muzzle overnight and that is more of a just incase. Hopefully given some more time he ca do away with that. He is a much happier boy who can now have a good sleep and when awake can be a normal happy family pet. His owners are very very happy as you can imagine. His nana is going to try and send me some before and after photos.

Good news with Bondi and we have all things crossed for a swift and uneventful recovery.

I agree with this. Luckily our breed has no colour/marking disqualifications. SOundeness of body and mind is of the utmost importance

ahhhhhhhhh Nope he looks fine. as for being cruel for trimming feet and ears, would they prefer lumps of matted fur instead??? It's hair it's dead and has no feeling how on earth can trimming it be cruel?????????
