  1. I am also wondering about the blood in the abdomen. IT can't just appear for no reason. Maybe a ruptured blood vessel that had a thin wall etc?.
  2. I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you find the answers you are looking for with the autopsy, although be prepared for the fact you may not get the answer you seek. It doesn't sound like any poison I know of but that is not to say it isn't. DId they think he may have had a bowel perforation or something like that? Such a heart breaking time for you and your Aussies.
  3. or a dog who has just eaten has the energy to run amoke :D
  4. Hope the Whippet is contained very very soon. I hope it is smart enough to stay away from the roads. Poor thing will be terrified. Good on you for trying your very best to catch the Whippet.
  5. This, read it at least three times. She would never have had a chance had you not persisted for the 6 weeks you did. She would not be happy for the first time in her life if you had not of done what you did. Never think you didn't do the right thing by her - ever. Thanks guys. You are too kind. :) Nope I only tell the truth. YOu only have to look at that little girls face to know you did a wonderful thing
  6. Well can you tell my bitch to get her bot bot into gear and come into season so we can have a red hot go at having April babies :) Damn sighthounds and there forever stretches between seasons!
  7. I know he has a flea collar and she doesn't believe it's fleas. Flea collars really do not work very well at all. Can they catch some of the critters and put them in a bag or jar and take them to a vet to be ID'd.
  8. We worry because we care :) Can't wait to see some of these lovely babies that are due :)
  9. Glad to hear Millie is up and about. Tobster is the dog on any sort of flea treatment? Like Advantage frontline etc? It may be lice, but at this time of year it is usually fleas which are the culprit
  10. yep our entry to weaves after a tunnel are a little like having a rocket strapped to your back, roller skates and no brakes!!! Sometimes we pull it off, but well sometimes not :)

  12. It can take the slightest thing for some can't it. My Dobe was extremely sensitive. If she say missed a sit in training or something I couldn't even flick my eyes towards her or she looked brow beaten!!! God forbid if I even went oops. She hated getting things wrong and for her the absence of a c/t or good was enough to make her worried. Yes we did heaps of work on extending the time between c/t's so she worked happily. I would consider watching a few of your old videos of her and really looking at where you are in relation to her just before she sniffs, watch the really fine movements etc you make and see if you can come up with anything that you may think she is picking up on. Once she is motoring she looks like she is having a total blast :)
  13. Thanks OSS. I love Millie's weaves, compared to Ruby's at least Sadly, she does sniff at other points, but the weaves are the point in which she does it the most. I am sumising, which I am sure you have already done and come to the same conclusion, that she is probably sniffing as a displacement behaviour because she is stressed for some reason. What that reason is who knows, but when I watched her video I saw it as a displacement behaviour.
  14. I have a similar issue myself, had a run on it have ordered some more but it is going to take until Wednesday to get here. I try my hardest but I am only human. It is the frist time it has happened so far :)
  15. Does she sniff only when she is supposed to be going through the weavers or at other times? She is brilliant when she gets going :)
  16. I always get a renewal sent in the mail. I recieved my Canine news yesterday and our mail is always last so hmmmmm hope you get yours soon :) Sorry to hear that Ness. Hope the problems don't need major surgery and you get a job very soon.
  17. I have one that was forwarded onto me if youa re interested in seeing that one? I didn't write it myself but it covers just about everything :)
  18. I know of one person who has used it I think on two Lab bitches and I think from memory it isn't a 100% cure but used with low doses of Propalin works quite well. I will PM you the persons name as I think you may know of her :)
  19. NO I didn't end up getting him collected :) Due to the time line, the fact his testicles were still small and the bitch I had tee'd up was actually going out not coming in it didn't happen. I also spoke to the owner of the bitch who was looking at using him and we decided that the chances of him being fertile for her were extremely slim so she ended up flying her to her breeder and got her mated and flown home. She had 8 lovely puppies. His testicles while marginally larger are still not back to normal size, so I am assuming his fertility will still be compromised. One good thing though is he does seems to have all his normal testosterone linked behaviours coming back - not that he had heaps to begin with, but hey, I'll take what I can. I am not expecting it to return before around 22 months after it was first implanted due to what I have read about others experiences with it. I am hoping his fertility does return by two years, if not I will be very very peeved! My bitch is due to come into season any time and I will mate them. As it is my own bitch I will probably not worry about collecting him first, but will see when the time is closer, if she goes another 3 months as she may, then he may have normal sized testicles and then I wouldn't bother. But if they are still the size they are now then I may as if his sperm is very low I don't really want to risk producing a singleton and then having the complications that can come with that if I don't need to. I really wish I had of got the 6 month one................
  20. My old Stafford at a 4 month old Ostrich egg he had stolen and buried months before. He was fine but smelt like he was rotting from the inside out!!!
  21. I don't call them skin kids or furbabies, they are the Whippets or the Whippies. They do go to Nana's, but that has come about as much from the fact we have kids and they go and see Nana. I do say wheres your dad, or find your dad, but don't call myself mum or mummy when I am talking to them, I hear that word far too often as it is :)
  22. Witchhazel is good for hotspots, but not sure about clipper rash. You can get over the counter bite, graze etc ointment that has local anaesthetic and anti-inflammatory in it. Hehehehehe just say the rectinol is for your dog :) Has many many uses that do not involved bottoms!!
  23. Rectinol works well, local anaesthetic, and anti-inflammatory - or any other creams with those in there. Neocort/neotopic even Surolan if you have any of those on hand :)
