No problem Count me in :) -
I so could not live with a Husky! It was funny, but after the first two times I called her I would have gone and got her off the lounge. I so couldn't deal with that!

Another What Breed Thread - For Multi Animal Household
OSoSwift replied to casowner's topic in General Dog Discussion
I am thinking WHippet even though you said low prey drive. Mine have prey drive however they know when theya can turn it on or not. They have been out with Guinea PIgs who were bolting around after their house got flipped in a strong gust of wind. They were told leave it so the did. If they are taken out to chase bunnies they do not go until told then come back when they are called. If you train what is acceptable from day dot you should be right. Mine do not even think about chasing stock and never try to get into paddocks or the such. I think they are still one to consider. Quiet in the house, no smell, very little shedding, quiet, good bed dogs :) and like following their person around like a velcro dog well not all but many Whippets are velcro dogs. -
Rommi usually stands at day 14 so we will see what happens :)

What a gorgeous colour mum is and yep lovely dark bubs. Congratulations on recents bubs

Lol I would offer to take her off your hands but maybe not such a good idea since Gibbs isn't desexed. He is very innocent though, Masn has always been a jumper ( he even tries to ump Gibbs if he is excited) but Gibbs is sooo not a Humper! He has never done any humping whatsoever. But maybe if there was a girl around lol..... You not mating her this time around? That would so not be fun at all! Rommi is in season at the moment and as far as the dogs go you wouldn't even know. Come the first day she is standing though - watch out!!! Then she turns harlet! They are next to each other in the dogs runs and they are that way becasue they are happy, try to seperate and I have two whimpering messes! Oh and MG - don't let his innocence fool you!!! Given the opportunity it can happen in seconds, even if they have never shown an interest before.

Well you know we can't be standing early in the piece :) Generally she stands around day 14 But trust me we will know!!! She will walk up, plant her tush under his nose and if he tries to walk away he will be growled at!!!! She's a girl who knows what she wants!

Just gorgeous. My husband has a real soft spot for Cavaliers

Don't get a poodle if you don't want your husband stolen and to be simultaneously evicted from the bed?? OK - you got me there  Mr.Poodlemum had never had a dog of ANY sort till he met me - now he bends people's ears with the wonders of Poodles. I have that issue when it comes to WHippets. He bales people up at times!

Due to the colour of the dogs I have now I wear black pants suit with a nice cornflower blue dress top, black socks and plain black shoes. I do wear the jacket unless I am very hot. I do not wear skirts and most certainly would not put one on to show my dog, I would feel very uncomfortable. I have bling leads for the dogs but not in exceptionally bright colours. I would also like a nice blue suit and a nice red one. I do not show very often but always try to dress and present myself to the best of my ability. My hair is long and tied back, and also hairsprayed as I get frizzy bits if not. I use an SPF 30 tinted sunscreen, mascara and lip gloss. I don't wear sunnies or a hat in the ring or while doing dog sports but I do put them on in between.

Hmmm playing games is she?

well you know how I said I will still waiting.................. Rommi came into season last night. They keep you on your toes don't they. This is a bitch who swells above her vulva for weeks to months before coming into season. We had 5 days of yep she is definately swollen and bang into season. Here I was thinking it would be a good month yet. So now we wait and see what happens!

Sunshine Coast Woman Hurt Trying To Save Her Dog From Attack
OSoSwift replied to Maxiewolf's topic in In The News
That poor poor lady. She will be traumatised for the rest of her life. I wonder if the owners of the other dog even care that her life and qualilty of life may never be the same again. She has lost her sole companion and her reason to get up and out every day. Now that is gone there may be a lot less reasons for her to get out and about. My thoughts go to this poor lady and her family. The reprecussions of an attack like this are far futher reaching than the physical injuries to the lady and her little friend. -
If you ever want to sit down by yourself on the lounge - don't get a Whippet because you will never sit alone again....................

I showed a friend today who buys the food from me and she was very impressed. She is getting a new puppy shortly and was very happy to see I now am also getting the puppy food. It looks very proffessional and you can tell that the design has been well thought out. I think I remember that the puppy food had 2% wheat in it but there is no mention of wheat on the ingredient panel. Does it no longer contain wheat?

Bendigo Man Threatens To Kill Pet Cats If They Wander Into His Yard
OSoSwift replied to Peace_Of_Mind's topic in In The News
As of November WA brings in new cats laws. They include all a=cats over 6 months of age must be desexed and microchipped, the limit is 2 cats per household. They can and will be impounded if causing issues fighting roaming etc. As of now we have no cat laws, Rangers don't want to know as there is no legislation regarding cats. If you have annoying cat it is your issue. They will hire out humane traps but if you catch a cat you have to deal with it. If it is an obvious feral they will euth them. Thankfully our rangers down are good and they will trap cats and if friendly they go to foster care and they try to locate the owner. -
I got some more dog food today and WOW love the new bags :) Already sold some and I haven't even had a change to unpack the car!

Me not, but fingers crossed for you both :)

Agility Training Talk Thread

Here is Lewis doing some weavers. We are working on entries as they are not 100% yet, but you can see his enthusiam for them. That was created by using an I-squeak then a bad cuz as his reward (I use the cuz as it has feet and I can place it ontop of pine posts, the dog walk etc and it won't roll off :) ) I will get some of the Rommi monster as well as she is not quite as fast but still rather good :) -
Sounds good Sherel, I am also interested in the shampoos etc
-
I have gone over a number of snakes and have never had one flick up under the car. I have seen them do that into parked cars though. Fingers crossed and touching wood and all that stuff, we have not seen too many over the last 6 months. Seen a few through the farm but none near the house - now that I have said that  Lets just hope it stays that way :)
-
We are up to 8 months and she isn't looking like it will happen any time soon. Oh well watched pots and all that! :D

I think so. Mine are quiet but that is becasue they are fed when the house is winding down and they are laying around on lounges. They get a snack in the morning but that's it. I have also had a breed known to suffer from bloat in the past, and one of them with it three times, so even now no hoonies allowed regardless of breed. Old habits are hard to break :)
