NOt sure if I answered this already? 2 Whippets - 4 and 3 and an ancient Stafford 14 and 3/4's

No I don't think you could get three of those onto an A4 page. More space to write the stuff on them though. I wish they just had the same one Aus wide, would be much easier

My Dobe had a singleton pup by herself after I was told there were no babies and she was sent home from the breeder. She whelped herself and puppy was very healthy - me not so much when I got up in the morning to a puppy!

Someone Sold Me A Pitbull Not A Cocker Spaniel

Oh dear, whatever next!!!! -
Why won't he be able to do jumps? I know he has ED, but I thought in obedience there was only 1-2 jumps. I wouldn't recommend Gibbs do agility but he should be able to handle a 1-2 jumps occaisonally. Especially if he is handling heeling, which in competition form is pretty high impact. Hmm we will see how he goes but I don't know if I want to risk him jumping he is a very solid dog. I don't think heeling is high impact though because it's just a trot really with weight on one front and ine back leg but I'm not all that clued up, jumping is full impact on both front legs and his other elbow at this stage may be affected too will know more after X-rays next week. The other dog I know with ED who had surgery 18 months ago has been cleared to do all obedience work by the same surgeon we are using. I know of a Lab who has had ED surgery and has done Retrieving trialing with quite a bit of success

Interesting video SC. I did know snakes have two penis's as we had to remove one one from a python - The guys comment about why don't we cracked me up :). Some how he damaged it and it get very infected and didn't respond to treatment so he had it removed. Was very interesting. ALso interesting dealing with a rather sore pee'd off 7 foot python!!

Very well done to all those who have gained more titles - you are all starts :), but also to those who had a great time competing. Very well done Scoota and Ptolomy, I am quite sure Val was there watching and smiling. I have seen Guinea work and he was awesome.

that is exactly what my kids had for a cot, we had four indoor cats who slept on our bed and the cot was in our room. I have heard them called safe cots and meat safe votes : D We were!! ;) We had a large totally enclosed cot /crate , plenty big enough for a toddler and beyond. It was enclosed with flyscreen..and lockable ..totally insect and kid proof!! We each slept in it until we were ready for proper beds. I've seen those for sale second hand....they are good for keeping cats and dogs away from sleeping babies!!!!

Dog Walks From Townsville Qld To Healesville Vic
OSoSwift replied to Kirislin's topic in General Dog Discussion
In WA at least you can take dogs into State Forrests but they are regularly baited with 1080 baits for vermin control so I wouldn't take mine in there. Lovely photos and I can't see any grid lines -
I don't expect people to like my children, but I do expect they will be poilte about it. I don't let my kids annoy people, and they are not into going up to or speaking to people they don't know anyway. So if someone does not like my kids thats fine, but they can use thier manners about it as I expect my children to use manners when dealing with any other person.

You wouldn't know what to do with all your spare money if you didn't have dogs :)

OSoSwift is your boy's excruciating pain caused by pressure on the nerves in his spine? That is what the vets believed, the nerves were getting compressed, then swelling, therefore compressing them more and round and round we go. We started the pred to keep any inflammation to a minimum and then use the tramal when he has over done it. So far it seems to have worked very well. We were considering euthanasia as his pain was so bad, we then tried the pred and well he is still tonking around
-
Oh and yes we love Bowen here as well, the dogs love it and so do I :)
-
OsoSwift..... please excuse dumb question - but for pred do you referring to prednisolone and which NSAID were you using? Thanks Sorry yes prednisolone and I tried Rimadyl and metacam. Even at the initial twice daily dose or Rimadyl it wasn't working. It is now 4 years down the tracka nd he recently had a blood profile done, Kidneys, liver all very healthy even though he is nearly 15 :) Thats great he is doing so well and you would be thrilled with blood profile results. Have you had to deal with any weight or appetite issues from being on the pred? NO weight issues as I keep him lean to help his back, appetite - well we say if you stood still long enough he would eat you, so yes he has always been a good eater but now we have to be very careful and you can't give hime treats directly unless they are big as you may lose your fingers. His vision is also going so that doesn't help his aim. HE will eat anthing that may have touched food so you can't accidentaly drop any sort of food wrappers, or kitchen towel that has had food draining on it or he will try and eat it.

Hmmmm She loves men! Well done with Varda last night - it was a tough gig the CCD ring being where it was and being bridesmaid is a really good effort. How exciting, Toller babies and a new Chicca girl. I do not believe she has a crazy button, she looks like a perfect angel in her photos :) Or maybe the ones here are sedate and over there they are uber crazy...........hm something to ponder :D Very well done to all in the obedience at the Classic last night, some great results :)

That sounds very ouchy!!! Grazes sting worse that a cut a lot of the time. Hope you feel better soon, and yes do we get to see photos? -
My dog has severe spondylosis of the spine and has had it for a few years now. He is on pred ever second day and Tramal as required which is rarely. He was on NSAID which made no difference and he was screaming in pain when either not doing anything or walking slowly in a straight line. Once on the Pred he vastly improved and has now been on Pred for around 4 years. He only needs Tramal if he over does it.
