  3. http://www.vetnpetdirect.com.au/wild_forage_mineral_supplement I thought this is a very good price, especiually if it solves that disgusting habit.
  4. Makes your blood run cold, that dog went straight in no circling, no anything, just straight in. That poor woman and those dogs. Amazing people who stopped and helped her. Restores your faith in the human race. I have always had big dogs, I now have Whippets. Attacks like this concern me as my dogs have very little cover and a bite like that is deadly.
  5. OFGS, here were go again. Every bloody time without fail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I used to get that walking two Dobes and a Stafford, even just one Dobe and a Stafford. Quite often I would get "oh those are vicious dogs" when they are standing a few feet away. I would say "well have they jumped up and tried to rip your throat out yet?" The answer was always "well ....no". "Well then they are not vicious are they". " No I guess your right" Quite often the monets after that saw them getting a pat and people commenting on how lovely they were. We all have bad days and to be honest right now, the next person that says "oh, so you don't got to work" is going to lose their head! No maybe I don't go to work but I work a bloody lot harder than most of the people who say it!
  7. Where would one get foam like that? I use an electric knife to cut a size the piece I would like out of a run of the mill foam matress that I no longer want/need etc. You could then use a single doona cover to stick it in and fold it round nice anf firm, or make a cover :) I need to amke a cotton one - the polar fleece ones get a bit warm in summer 'scuse any typing errors I have a Sphynx helping me :)
  8. Yep it is enforceable. I really hope your friend thinks twice, there are just so many alarm bells going off for me on this one. I would hate for it to end in heartbreak.
  9. Agreed MBS - it is far to dangerous to let a child wander around. There are troughs, snakes, livestock, cars, other roaming dogs. The list goes on. Just terrible
  10. Thank god the dog looks after the poor little sod as his parents bloody well don't. That is just craziness. I am glad he is safe and I wonder if a DOCS visit may be in their future???
  11. I don't have an issue with you not keeping a pup, I also don't have an issue with you trialling your bitch as the rules say you can and are welcome. If I really wanted that litter from that dog I wouldn't go to the trial incase I missed her fertile time. If her potentially missing isn't too much of a worry I would go day 11 and 14.
  12. If the litter and using that sire was important I wouldn't go to the trial. They may be close genetically however there is a reason one is a higher service fee and first choice. Not all puppies are born equal
  13. I cut a 4 inch foam mattress to size and made a polar fleece cover or two I could take off and wash. Never gone hard yet
  14. I wouldn't take her to the trial
  15. Dogs don't do something like this for no reason. There would have been signs previously that he either ignored or didn't see. The dog saw the opportunity open up and took it. Of course it will be the dogs fault for having a brain snap, not the owners fault for being a tool!
  16. I do not have LG breeds somay be off track I do not think the fact that the puppies are raided in an out building is much of an isdue as long as the dogs have plenty of exposure to people outdoors etc, etc. They are after all a dog who's job it is to live outside to do their work. Being raised inside doesn't necessarily help them with eventually living and working outside. Having said that they could be raised inside then moved to an outbuilding when they are older and still be raised to work successfully. I would ask if a visit with their other dogs is possible and if it is possible as far as timing goes see where they will be raised. A LG breeder on here from memory does just that and is very highly regarded.
  17. I took it as he was play fighting with his mate i.e the dog.
  18. obviously the owner had no idea what the dog was trying to tell him well before this happened.
  19. The shipping on mine - had I paid it was $111.00. That is why I only look in the free shipping section :)My order was well above that though.
  20. No direct flights into Kal I don't think. He will get changed over in Perth. There used to be flights from Kal to Adelaide but not sure if they still happen either. MG rarely comes on here any more.
  21. My bitch acts like that on around day 10, but doesn't actually really want to mate or isn't really ripe to the dog until day 14. Yeh he is kinda interested, but roll around day 14 and watch out, there is no foreplay. I wouldn't panic just yet :)
  22. Tracking says mine is ready to be picked up - will go see tomorrow :)
