Urgh .. yes. Diarrhoea and onomatopoeia are the two hardest words to spell ... ever. Although I am quite bemused by the number of times I see the following words misspelt lately: definitely separation devastation/devastated Dash In A Real Rush Hurry Or Else Accident Is how I remember to spell it!

You can have a lab and a nice backyard RPM girl ;) We have lovely grass that covers our whole yard, and have had our lab for two years. I tried to find some pictures, these are the best I found. (don't mind the weeds in the garden thats my fault) Just provide your puppy with a space that she can dig in (we got a clam shell to fill it up with sand, but have never needed to use it) and encourgage her to dig there (hide treats in it) Set your expectations of what she is able and not able to do straight away. Cant wait to see pictures of your girl

Scout is such a lady. In two years I have only smelt a fart from her once I blamed my OH!

We met because of DOL - Nik actually lives around the corner from me I went to meet her and snofyre at a show, then joined the same obedience club as Nik and Jedi and we've been friends ever since! That's great

Scout would be in heaven at my work. 40 kids to play with all day would be her dream come true. Shame she isn't able to come with me

What a lovely tribute gave me a few too. How lucky Zero was to find you Shell. Shell, what a nice friend you have in TerraNik! Did you previously know each other outside of DOL?

Is There Anyone Who Does Not Have A Heart Dog?
black magic replied to Bubitty's topic in General Dog Discussion
I'm not sure. Scout is my first dog ever, so I have no idea if the love I feel for her is more than I could ever feel for any other dog! -
This has nothing to do with the breed, and everything to do with the owner - that dog does sound very annoying and out of control, but it's not his fault his owner's are clueless. A GSD living with the same family would be just as bad, I'm sure. To the OP - glad you've made a decision, and best of luck meeting the breeder and finding a suitable puppy I agree serket

Toilet paper and soft toys. The toilet paper is annoying! After being caught out a number of times, We have now learnt to check the holder before getting down to business -

Welcome back Jed! What can I say...... You truly are an inspiration. Such a strong courageous woman that so many of us admire! If in my life I could show at least one ounce of the strength, spirit and audacity that you have shown I would be proud of myself. You did a wonderful job during your interview! Take care xoxox -
I laughed at one of the photos of a DD, it said under it "I'm not from a puppy farm"

I second that. I could have stolen him when I met him. . . . . . . . Come to think of it I would have taken Rover too ;) Both of your dogs are a credit to you and the time you put into training them! Great video

Hi there, Did you only want to get a puppy? I see the Labrador is on your list. Getting an older Lab could be a good option if you are still interested in them. Often Labrador rescue have Labs that are out of the "puppy stage" that are needing a loving home available! They will place interstate and you would be able to talk to the foster carer about the dog in great detail to see if the dog would fit your household. Having a calmer dog (of any breed that your interested in) that is out of the puppy stage may also win your wife over easier. Good luck with your search

Could This Be Kc Or An Obstruction?
black magic replied to black magic's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
She hasn't been de barked. I'm thinking it is more KC . going to get her into the vet to see whats going on -
Just after some opinions :D On Sat night I heard Scout gagging, I got up to see if she was OK, as it sounded like she was trying to vomit. She had a lamb neck that morning, I have noticed that a few times before that after eating lamb bones she has vomited up a small bit of the bone, so I thought that might have been happening, nothing came up though and Scout went back to sleep. She did it again that night, but that was it. Last night she did it again. She also just did this snorting noise, it seemed like she was trying to blow her nose! She seems pretty well within herself other than the occasional gagging which is mainly at night. There isn't any nose discharge or phlegm (sp?) bought up when she gags she has been to the toilet and is eating/drinking fine. Should I get her to the vet in the morning or monitor her.

I'm lost for words. I just don't know what to say, as I know nothing I say can make any of this right. I hope Jed has a speedy recovery and can quickly get home to be with her surviving animals. My heart just breaks for her. Will make a donation now .

A Small Tiff In The Off-leash Park
black magic replied to mrs tornsocks's topic in General Dog Discussion
 the OP's dog is a rude dog and I can't fathom why they think it it ok to behave this way Wow! interesting that you can say that about a dog you have never met! I have come in here to let people reading this post how I personally found Archie when he stayed at our house over Christmas for three weeks while Mrs T was OS so assumptions like yours about a dog you have never met are not believed to be true. We picked Archie up in Sydney so save Mrs T's family some travel time, and drove him back down the South Coast. He was in an unfamiliar car and he settled in and sat calmly and quietly for the whole trip. During his stay at our house, I had nothing but praise for his behaviour, he did everything that was asked of him, My OH and I both said how impressed we were with him (we were actually going to change our locks so they couldn't get him back). His manners during the whole time were fantastic I would let him stay at our house any time. Calling him RUDE thats not how I found him after having him for 3 weeks 24/7 Some of us don't have the perfect dog, and I'm sure yours has faults, but the fact that someone is willing to put the training in and ask for help is a good thing! comments like yours add no value to the thread. -

Imaker, Just wondering... do you show your dog or does someone else do it? Do you have any experience breeding dogs? -
We were after a black boy but in the litter of 11, 9 were girls. We said we would have a girl instead of waiting for their next litter. We met Scout on ANZAC day two years ago! It was the second time we had visited the breeder but the first time we knew which puppy would be ours. I remember her ears they were so long! I must have had a funny WTF look on my face cause the breeder said, "don't worry she will grow into them". I remember her being so big that it took two of my arms to hold her but she fitted so nicely into my OH arms. She was 6weeks old, and it felt like the longest two weeks of my life waiting for that 8 week mark to come. When we picked her up I cried on the way home, my OH was like "what's wrong why are you crying" I said, "I've waited 30yrs for this moment" He still thinks its funny that I cry at the happiest things that happen in my life. look at these ears We said she was a loaf of bread on legs
