Pet Owners bring healthy pets in to be PTS every day too, are you suggesting that we sweep all this under the carpet and protect those that find it hard to deal with. Chances are if you frequent Vet Clinics then you will witness something gut wrenchingly sad. Accident victims being rushed in, elderly much loved companions making their final trip all very sad and often confronting situations.

Muscaban is very good, also the Cotex multipurpose spray works well. Advantix did nothing to stop the biting flies here. I found a quick spray around the dogs outdoor snooze area with the Cotex spray and a light mist over the dogs and we have the flies beat.

It is hard to comprehend isn't it We live in a society where we expect so very much from those who own dogs or heaven forbid choose to breed them, yet our very future, our children, can be born into situations where little thought goes into conceiving them and there are always excuses for how there are raised or the people they grow into. or it is hard to know. What would be the reaction to suggesting that if you cannot keep your child by your side and under control that you either don't take that child out alone or you leave it at home, I can imagine. Yes they are children and surely as such as they deserve better.

If being a good Trainer counts for naught and is supporting a rotten industry then being a responsible pet owner is the same IMO,take it across the board, let's not single out just one rotten sectar. Seriously you cannot hold those that do the right thing responsible for the failings of others.

All well and good but how do you propose it deals with 24 plus hours in transit/ on flights? Pretty sure Weis are bloat prone so the stress may be a too big a risk. This! I would think the chances of the dog bloating in transit would be pretty high.

If they are getting wet everyday their coats are probably not drying out completely, bacteria flourishes in the moist warm environment and that leads to smelly dogs. The problem areas are usually around the ruff. I use a high velocity blower on my dogs and dry them off during the hot months when this can be a problem, the Lab more so.

My dogs are pretty hard on their toys, I have found the Orbee Tuff Orbo (which is stuffable) and the Orbee Tuff Balls to be excellent. I get mine from K9 Pro I shove a couple of pieces of dried lived the hard cubes, or dried lamb lung cubes in the Orbo, keeps them occupied for a while. The treats are large and they really have to work to get them out. Whilst the Orbo look similar in shape to the Kong Mine prefer the Orbo by far, I think it is the bouncy quality to the toys. The Orbee rope balls are their favourites by far for fetch and 2 dog tug lol.

A devastating result, we can only hope that they catch those responsible.

Do you know where in Qld HollyMilo? Your pups are very cute also :) I don't know if this is the same pup you are talking about, but there was a 15 week old SBT pup that had been missing from his owners place since last Wednesday, I was looking on face book to see if there was any further reports on him, but nothing. He is from near Rocky. Devlin the pup taken from Bouldercombe is the one who was killed then returned to his home.

I think I just fell in love with you for this comment. I'm sure some 'bloody parents' have thought in their darker moments that they'd like their kids PTS. But that would carry a murder charge. And you never know what psychiatrist is advising them to allow the kid to venture out and make a few mistakes . . . as a necessary part of coming to live a semi-independent life. Your dog is simply a possession with no rights . . . you are entitled to do some fairly extreme things to keep it in control, and to have it pts if it proves uncontrollable. Or are you a believer in animal rights? I think people need to think less about blame and more about solutions. My heart goes out to a Mum who has 24/7 duties to take care of a kid with autism or other serious disability. I'd go stark raving mad . . . or take to the bottle in a serious way. If you have a dog that is likely to bite, how about accepting that the perfect parent has yet to be found and some people are less in control of their kids than you would like. Sometimes you have to do a bit of defensive dog walking. So? You know there is always a first time...wtf do you do if your dog has never been put in a situation that pushes its boundaries to the limit. Can you guarantee that any one of your dogs is not capable of being startled??? I am sure we all do the very best we can, but it appears that if you are a dog owner the responsibilities are pretty damn one sided. The only Solution that would suit some is for all dogs to be kept under lock and key.

When you are a parent you take on huge responsibilities, one of them is to keep your child safe, regardless of any condition or disability that child may have, and yes I understand it is not easy. In this case we do not know if the child in question was indeed Autistic, if it wasn't it sounds like it needs a good kick up the bum. Regardless, the child should not have been running free in a carpark where it could easily have been injured or killed. Of course we all know if the dog had snapped at the child it would have the dogs owners fault in the eyes of most, that is the way of todays cast blame society. Personally I think having the dog leashed and by your side should be accepted as reasonable control.

Germs play no part in the choice not to allow dogs to sleep on my bed.

Spare a thought for the Forum owner who does not want to be involved with a lawsuit.

Despite the fact that my dogs do not smell, I have no wish for GSD or Lab hair all over my bed and a restful comfortable nights sleep is important to us. Doesn't make them neglected or deprived, actually they make no attempt to get on the beds.

Some of the Sporting dogs were a tad softer in condition than I like and I dislike the over use of bait in the ring but overall their presentation is right up there. I don't think any dog steps foot in the without a going over with the high velocity dryer :D -
Could it be his ears? Do his ears smell? If he is a sensitive itchy dog often they have smelly problem ears.

Sandgrubber you asked it appears it is really alive and well over at the AKC and all it stands for haters forum you play on over in the good ol U S of A -
I cannot imagine being able to have a restful full nights sleep with two GSD on the bed even if it is king size. My dogs share my home, but they do not run my home they also do not share my bed. It doesn't make them deprived or any less loved. I can also understand that some people wish their dogs to sleep outside, or that the dogs themselves choose to like my Lab often does.

Malaseb is very drying and could well be making her skin worse.

A wormer does not prevent worms it treats existing worms, if they are not present you do not need to treat them.

It was very easy to see the body shape of the Peke, the majority of the coat over his hindquarter was from his very profuse tail which is exactly what the standard calls for, I did not consider him to be overly coated at all. -

The veterinary dosages are not the same as those for humans, chemists are not vets, the link you provided is a Veterinary one and contains the correct information for dogs.
