oooh even better how about a black and white parti colour
-
Poodlefan, do you think you can get me a back and tan one? lol
-
lol not sure about a breed name but I will call the colour - Shadow brindle - lol that is a fantastic photo!!!!
-
Also I had a 6 month old pup microchipped - I bought from a breeder and she was not done - I know tisk tisk, but there were no problems or penalties for getting her done that late???? Not sure if it differs from council to council?
-
I am waiting as long as possible to get my litter of pups done - well meaning that once the new owners book a time to pick them up I go and get the chip done - My pom puppies are so very small at 6-8 weeks most weighing a mere 500-700 grams around this time and even my vet prefers me to wait a while as he can barely pinch enough skin to insert the needle :D poor little buggers!!!! Some vets I have been told by other pom breeders prefer to wait until their pups make the 1 kilo mark before they will chip. In NSW all pups should be sold with first vaccination and microchip done - registered breeders, pets stores and any other registered business or enterprise that specialises in the sale of pets and animals must follow the above protocol - Backyard breeders and puppy mills are obviously harder to police so most cut costs and sell pups as is and wipe their hands of the proper protocol!

Although I am in NSW too and currently have no limits to how many dogs as per council and NSW companion Animals Act - I believe in some areas on Sydney there are restrictions but don't really know for sure - Anyway I am soooo looking forward to moving up to the Central Coast - LOL - would be nice to take advantage of all the off lead beaches etc might catch you around soon SnoFyre

Help With Registration Names - Parti(party) Theme
Partipaws replied to Partipaws's topic in Breeders Community
thats ok I was just telling you anyway in case people started to think I was rushing to sell them?? As I have found out on here people jump to other conclusions so thought I would explain the situation before someone started flaming me LOL!!! Thank you for the well wishes with house moving - gosh it is stressful - we are doing the selling up and buying a new house - hope it runs smoothly and we do not get left stranded looking for a house to buy - renting would be hard with the amount of dogs we have - well we do not have many compared to some as we are only just starting out - we have 4 adult poms, one which lives with my parents - and of course the 3 pups at the moment!!! But i think it is best to move them on when they are old enough given my decision stays to hold on to teddy - it will be stressful on them with the whole moving homes thing too. -

Thank you all again for your help!!! So far we have the names: Partipaws Tattoo Teddy Partipaws Nudgenudge Winkwink and lastly..... we are still working on it - LOL I think I will be keeping Tattoo teddy - he has been my pick since they were born, he is so lovely looking, he has the most wonderful big thick coat coming through which is nicely textured which many parti's lack, he is also nice and solid in bone which was something I was trying to improve on and has the most loveliest face, short nose, nice ears with lots of ear coat and really looks like a teddy bear.... he is short and compact in body and so far I am thrilled with how he is turning out.... I would have loved to kept the two well marked boys (Nudge and Teddy) but I am a little concerned with the bite of the other boy (Nudge) so might have to stick with my decision as Teddy is just perfect in my eyes and has a correct bite at this point in time!!!! So the other two will be registered on Limited due to nudge's bite and Squirts colouring. -
Help With Registration Names - Parti(party) Theme

Not quite still have the last one to name - I just put their profiles on - I will change the names if they do not get registered with the first choice! I am rushing the registration as 1) I wanted to enter one into the baby puppy sweepstakes at the easter show as I am already out there showing that day as the poms are on the same day the 10th of April and 2) we are now faced with moving house, bit rushy with that too so any pups I do not retain will need to be sold around 12 weeks of age so thought I would get it done. Had I known we were moving I would not have mated my girl but so far now that we are the timing is pretty perfect as the pups are coming on to six weeks of age and will be ready for their new homes in another couple of weeks, but i will try and hold onto them till 12 weeks..... we will see.... -
I agree - there are dozens of people out there with the same names etc its easy to confuse who is who??? My darling sister searched for me on facebook and found my so called profile - once accepted she found out her innocent younger sister was in fact a stripper etc - LOL!!!! She rang me all confused and I patiently explained to her that I am not on face book - god it be funny if people did a search on me to find I am a stripper - you kinda start thinking of centitout feeding her dogs in a g-string - imagine a stripper!

I love them all Christina - they are all great - might have to keep them on hand for the next litter Also I just wanted to confirm that the name including letters, prefix and spaces is now 30?? I have not looked at this since I sat the exam which was 2 years ago and I think it was 24 or something - has it changed since and is this correct?? sorry this is with Dogs NSW! Thank you again! -
Is she kept with any other dogs? male or female?

introducing teddy... Now so far Teddy has been my pick of the litter since day 1.... he has been a fat chunky little guy and we use to call him fatty and fat teddy so now the name teddy has stuck (I know so original) lol - so we were thinking of Partipaws Tango Teddy or Partipaws Tattoo Teddy! But if anyone has some better ideas that tie in the party and teddy then please start listing - like partipaws parti teddy etc etc -
Hello all...... I was just sitting here pondering what names to use when registering my 3 pomeranian boys!!! I was thinking of sticking with a party them to go with my prefix 'Partipaws' and also because they are parti colours, so parti/party theme, like Partipaws VIP parti, Partipaws retro parti or disco parti etc etc.... But then I also like descriptive themes so things like patches, painted, something to describe the markings and colour. Colour and details wise... we have 2 well marked boys (piebald marked) the other has not got enough white for show but is still somewhat a parti (irish marked), the two well marked boys are orange and white the other is a darker sable and white and the little more solid coloured boy is a dark sable and white as well. I hope to register the two well marked boys on main registration as I intend on retaining one for show but it is rather hard to decide at the moment and will hold onto the two to give me time to decide and in the mean time I will show both. The other boy again is not marked well for show and quality wise at the moment is not making the cut to be placed on main register even as breeding prospect.... so saying all this I will not worry too much about the name for the little one - he will probably be placed in a pet home. I have named all three with nick names which are purely for us while they are living here - The orange and white very fluffy boy is Teddy (gosh we are original!) the sable and white boy is Nudge and the more solid sable with little white markings is Squirt!

OBS congratulations on your litter - what lovely babies and lovely colours!!!! Look forward to watching them grow! All the very best with them!!! what a nice belated christmas present for you

Thank you so much for everyone who has replied and offered some great advice and suggestions. Puppies loved the mince - particularly "fat teddy" so will go about this and slowly introduce some moisten down puppy food etc! Now the crying has began - "We want more real food" as Ellz has explained - lol - amazing how quickly they learn! Thank you all once again! hope you had a lovely Christmas and all the very best in the New Year. jess xxoo
-
be a cute photo though! LOL - I will try just been up the road to grab some goodies!! well we humans needed some goodies as well and grabbed some mince - never thought of bones - but definitely sounds like a good idea! So when I get a chance to find the biggest dinosaur bone I can find I will take a pic!! lol

Thank you Ellz - i did try them with some mushed up solids, I kept it runny so that they could lap it up - but it has been unsuccessful so far - I had some biolac on hand so just did that instead while still trying to get them to accept the solids. I will keep at them as it sounds like I should really start weaning them onto solids - you have made some good points - as I was going to start doing so in a weeks time, but it wont harm them to start earlier especially now that they seem unsatisfied at the end of a feed and are growing quickly - they need all the food and milk they can get Thank you for your help and advise.
