I like the way it has been .... where people are good enough to list the individual show, starting with Group numbers .... and then results are added to that topic
-
I have no problem with a judge "making a cut" and letting the others leave the ring ..... who wants to hang around especially if the weather is crap (hot or wet). I realise it may be against the rules in some States but quite frankly can't see why .....
-
the changes sound good .... might even tempt me back tp participate well done Troy - appreciate that you always "take on board" peoples comments.

many congrats !!!!!!!!!!!!

am so sorry to read this sad news.... RIP Densie
-
exactly !!!!! I'm sorry but if mum can't keep an eye on him all the time then she needs to make sure that someone is while she is busy. The carpark is hardly a safe area for children to play in. This could have been so much worse ... (edited to expand a bit more)

Bingo! Terrible idea. what they said...but I understand having to keep up with technology.. if people (judges) are looking at DOL profiles already I can't see what difference it would make .... -

correct .... and then like in the US where some Breeds have their own Club & Breed Register, you end up with the additonal expenses of having to dual register everything if you want to be part of the "global" dogworld.
-
You are so rigtht .. re the nail biting It depends on what your priorities are ... and whether you're prepared to run them on and play the waiting game. As a breeder ... I would not instantly dismiss a puppy with a slightly off mouth if everything else was what I wanted. One of my top winning dogs went "under" as a baby .. I showed him as a baby for experience and then he sat at home ... he returned to the show ring as an adult (2.5yrs) with a scissor bite .. and is a multiple Best in Show winner. Of course not everyone will want to "wait and see" ... and if I was jusat starting out I would probably want the mouth to be correct.
-
of course you have to judge the dog on the day .... and take into consideration what the standard also states; Any departure from the foregoing points should be considered a fault and the seriousness with which the fault should be regarded should be in exact proportion to its degree and its effect upon the health and welfare of the dog."
-
Any CKCS breeder will tell you that "Bites" CAN and DO change ..... Yes, they can change up to 2-3 years. I have never seen an overshot mouth correct ... I have seen MANY undershot mouths correct.
-
Group 1 was the Caval;ier ... B&T of Morse/Henderson RU I believe was a Pug - don't know whose...
-
BIS & RUBIS were both Terriers ... Group & GS judged by Stephanie Rickard. BIS - Westie RUBIS - Wire Fox Terrier
