mid 30's for me (Cavalier KCS) .... yes - I have seen some dogs cope very well in the heat .. I'd rather mine were in the comfort of their own home.

I have 2 from Vebo .... and they are a great buy ... I have recommended them to several people who have all been very happy with them.

yes .. the key being "dispatched" 7 days prior ... not "received" 7 days prior.

and on the "flip" side Toys are indoors at the New Year shows at KCC Park ... usually in stinking hot weather where you can hardly breathe indoors .... yes ... I'm happy for all in or all out .... edited to add ... my understanding is it is up to the individual club ... it is NOT a general rule ... so ... mention it the Clubs if you are showing.

to be accurate the requirements are; 1000 points plus; 3 All Breeds Best in Shows or 10 Best in Group/Specialty Best in Show (no repeat judges on the BIS/BISS/BIG wins)

here is the applicable Vic regulation; 7.5.18 Where the Judge announced in a Schedule is changed, other than to the advertised emergency or reserve judge, an exhibit affected by the change of Judge may be withdrawn prior to or on the day by the owner after giving notice in writing of such intention to the Committee of the exhibition. Upon written request lodged before commencement of the show the exhibitor shall be entitled to a refund of entry fees. No doubt different for each State....

the Swedish judge is only doing certain Breeds within Groups ... he's not doing any Group Specials.

most UK specialists are not always about "glamour" in my opinion .... I'd enter and decide on the day ....

As mentioned many Clubs are phasing out perpetual trophies .. for many reasons. If the Club accepts this donation (for BIS as mentioned) then there should be NO restrictions on whose name etc goes on it ... the winner & owner/s does - it should not matter whether they are members or not. It would not be a record of BIS winners if restrictions applied. I also think it should be retained by the Club... you are always hearing about trophies that "diappear" or having to always chase people up. The offer of a small trophy to keep is a lovely idea.
