  1. at least we now have a "definite" policy.
  2. I thought toys were generally inside anyway?! not always .... I was referring to another thread not long ago when "Sway" posted a copy of the new supposed permanent layout for Bulla ... but nothing has been officially published yet... VBG
  3. anyone know if they're using that "secret" new Bulla ring layout wth Toys inside ??
  4. a very expensive day ..... can he get away with being 3 ? VBG
  5. Have had my numbers since last week .... edited to add.... DogsVic website has the change of judge on it ... Mrs B Marsh now doing Group 2 & General Specials - replacing Mr R Bell
  6. I think you will find the NSW is running it - however they are not making it compulsory for Clubs to offer neuter classes.
  7. here is the extract from Dogs Qld website.... ANKC NEUTERED CHAMPION The ANKC October 2009 decision to introduce a neutered champion cannot be supported or introduced in Queensland as it is contrary to our charter which promotes pure bred dogs and our status as a breed organisation. Our Constitutional charter is "to promote in every way the general improvement of the standard, breeding and exhibition of pure bred registered dogs" whilst our Code of Ethics states that breeders ‘shall breed only for the purpose of improving the standard of the breed’.
  8. Ssshhhhh it's a secret, but one that had to be told :D :D .... love it .... thanks
  9. "Sway" ... where did you get this new layout from ? I can't seem to find it on the DogsVic website ? cheers
  10. Was there a space problem? I've never noticed any problem when I've exhibited out there..... Were the Toy exhibitors asked for an opinion? not that I'm aware of .... a decision made by a select few perhaps ??
  11. Like many I have lots of "old" photo's but won't be posting them ... LOL ... the hair, the outfits .. everything.... I have to say though - what was good about "the old days" was that shows were far more casual and relaxing and dare I say it "more about the dog" ....
  12. thanks very much "Capanash" .... not a "great" entry .... but my guests leave that afternoon so at least they might get to see most of the show. cheers
  13. hiya am not entered but have visitors here from interstate so thought I might take them down to KCC Park ... can someone tell me the Group numbers please .... thanks Edited today to change title
  14. Because who knows whats around the corner ..... they may one day introduce yet another title ...... I'm currently showing 2 Grands... although am much more particular about who I show to now that they have their titles.... I always make sure I pick up my CC Certiicates, or get someone to collect them for me ... I know some people who don't and I think it's extremely rude. cheers
  15. don't know Group total but have been told that there is 60+ Cavaliers at each show !!!!! a quiet weekend at home for me :-)
  16. As many have said .... sometimes it easier (safer.. VBG) to say nothing .... I congratulate "most" people in my breed because they are nice people ... I don't have to like their dog....
  17. terrific job with all these results Sway :-) thanks
  18. I am pleased that this has worked out as best as possible for you..... it wouldn't have been at all good to have bought home a sick puppy. BUT .. I have to say that I am shocked that this vet would discuss this with you....
  19. hi 'Mandalay' .... wasn't at the show but was told the Cav was Weekes/Egans Open dog and the Pug was one of Esther's ... a male at his first show..... cheers
  20. there was a previous thread for these shows advising that were indoors .... the thread was headed "Bendigo & Eaglehawk Kc Victoria" cheers
  21. yes this is correct.... those of us that do not desex early can still Limit Register.... and then later on once desexed and if the breeder agrees the dog/bitch can be transferred to the Main Register as a neuter.
  22. I'm undecided about how good this will be ...... Theoretically you could end up with lots of retired showdogs (desexed for whatever reason) now competing again...these could be stunning examples, big winners etc etc .... how is that going to encourage "new" people' ?? I'm certainly not against this .... and it will be interesting to see what sort of support it gets via show entries.
  23. There were a few entered but all were absent with the exception of the two shown. There were 5 entered... with only the 2 shown - although bearing different prefixes they are litter brothers bred in the US. Many breeds only have a few entries - remembering the show has a limit of 2500 dogs.
  24. I went as a spectator yesterday - had no trouble getting in. Showed my Membership card at the carpark and then just walked in with other exhibitors into the show area. Yes, it was quite crowded - in fact when I arrived in the car park the people next to me were putting their canopy back in the car saying there was no room to put it up. Lucky it was a small show - less than 600 dogs - very poor for a metropolitan show !!!
