  1. The dog might have just been simply coughing or clearing his throat from something? Personally I wouldnt put a dog on anti-biotics unless it was pretty serious.
  2. Pumpkin is good for hardening up stools. personally i boil and mash it.
  3. Do any shop stock Ziwipeak? i've never seen it.
  4. Dont use Ziwipeak myself but i would like to. (just cant afford it). I hear is bloody good. Read the ingredients on any dog food label and you will be able to tell if its good or not.
  5. i have a few different scissors. i have Wahl (x1) and Jaguars (x2) ones that cost a $50, $90 and $120. they suck. i use them for preping dogs. i have Jaguar thinning shears that cost me about $60 and they are good. my two favourites are ones i got off ebay. one doesnt have a brand name on it but i got it from overseas for $40 or so including postage. my second pair is "Angel" and i got those for under $50 i think. my boss has some really expensive scissors ($200+) and i really dont find them much different to my cheap scissors.
  6. interesting... i have a blunt pair that im not to worried about the outcome of. i might give some of these a go.
  7. is there anywhere i can see a list of things for sale? or do i just ask for what im after.
  8. i didnt know you sold dog food! im eager to get a pack of ZiwiPeak or Eagle pack for my kids to try, are you still in business?
  9. hehe no worries. i just find it amusing this is a zoom groom eta: you can get them at any good pet supplies or order them from lots of places online.
  10. vets have no idea grooming. you dont ask your doctor how to brush your own hair do you? use a Zoom Groom.
  11. ive only ever heard good things about the BARF diet and dogs on it. I feed my dogs BARF and never had a problem.
  12. omg who groomed that second malt!!! i hope nobody paid money for that!
  13. and yes as everybody has said above... Schmackos are the junk food for dogs.
  14. yes i dont mean that i think my boss is making a fortune and not sharing... i just mean its a shame people think they are paying alot for their dogs to be groomed, when they dont realise how much time, effort and expensises go into grooming a dog. and my god wash, blow dry, clip and finish a dog in 20 mins?! thats damn fast.
  15. depends on the clips thou. the longer clips that much longer because well, it takes longer to dry them and do a neat clip. the short clips are easy because its just shaving it all off! but what can be done about the wages? clients already seem to have a hard enough time parting with their money at the prices they are.
  16. Is it just me or do i notice a shortage of groomers in Sydney? I know of a place looking for a groomer currently, but no good groomers are looking for work. I guess the wages have something to do with it!
  17. no worries Dogsrules, its going to be a while thou. Im only doing it in my spare time and turning out to be a big task!!
  18. have you ever clipped a dog or poodle before?
  19. yes reading into it more im thinking i will cut down on the dry food and give more vegies. we give a cup a night with the mince and rice/pasta with random vegies. havent had a problem, but dont want to have one in the long term.
  20. thankyou! but can i get the measurements for the ACV Kelp powder frozen home brand diced veggies vit C oil (most common varieties) vit tablets please?
  21. are you interested in the whole book? or just the recipe section? if i have to charge for the book it will only be to cover the cost of printing, or you can have it electronically if you like. i don't plan to make a profit from this. eta: and yes! would love the Bday cake recipe!
  22. that would make sense. Just another reason to read the labels before making a dish for the doggies!!
  23. we get our mince from a pet supplies, and its chicken mince (the whole chicken bones and all). we also buy the mixed variety... chicken and sardine, chicken and liver, chicken and vegie etc and use one of those a couple of times a week.
