  1. remove it with nail clippers FAST had a similar thing happen with my girl. Her dew claw broke right at the top near the flesh. she screamed and it bled alot, but she was up and walking straight after i stopped the bleeding.
  2. just use regular flour you would use for cooking.
  3. do you have any paw paw ointment or salve? those will help protect the wound and assist in healing. dont put any human antiseptic on, could do more damage than good
  4. i have a Silky x Maltese that gets grass and plant allergies which worsen in the spring weather. i keep it at bay but keeping him off grass and plants that do the harm, malaseb washes and inflamol cream. have to put him on prednisolone when its really bad.

  7. not sure really. im a terribler blade owner i never clean them properly. i just sent em to Colin (DOL name Nicestman77) and he makes em all nice again!!! i clip off alot of matted dirty dogs and my blades rust too, but Colin gets em back to me working like new

  9. anybody ever feed Beneful?! Their poos come out green! so much dye in that dry food.

  12. all the goldies ive done, the client wanted them shaved back really short all over.
  13. my back is the reason why i had to give up full time grooming. i have severe scoliosis and i ended up in hospital unable to move when i pushed myself at work too hard. remember to stop for breaks, stretch and take it easy on yourself.
  14. I don't believe it is a good idea to squeeze them unless they need doing. The dog should be able to express his glands naturally.

  16. ive done a few wheatons. one we used to clip off regularly. the other was in full coat and we brushed her out. she didnt mind it but it always took a long time. she came in every two weeks. couldnt clip her nails without her screaming the house down ;)
  17. I dont have any advice but I hope Spike feels better soon. Sounds like he is doing well for an 8yr old Newf. Fingers crossed he sticks around for a while longer.
  18. maybe the breeder was worried about them bathing and not drying properly? Hot spots are commong on GR's if they skin is left damp under the fur.

  20. I use a combination of Prednisolone, Neocort, Phenergan, Malaseb washes, and diet to manage Sweeps allergies.
  21. just use your jpeg options, but you will loose quality.
  22. i have the same problem with my silky and ive just been told by a friend to try Phenergan which can be bought from the chemist for hoomans.
