its interesting htat this thread should pop up now as I have just this morning had an email from a friend telling me to be careful about putting my better images on facebook as once you do this they can use the image for whatever they like, you have no rights, it is still your image but by putting it on facebook they can take them and use them however they see fit, I had no idea this could happen, talk about stupid. What Im owndering is I always export pics from picassa back to my pictures which in turn reduces the size making them easier to upload to photobucket face book etc, so if anyone took one of my images wouldnt it be too small to do anything with?? Also if I put a watermark ( i think thats what its called) can it just be removed once someone takes the picture??

Hi Guys, another day drawing to an end. Kirisliin, I love your story pics, gee they sure did suck them pips down to the very core!! MTD, your flower is lovely very cleverly done, love th shadows on the wall!! Iltby, your pics are great once again, love the butterfly especailly great capture!! here is mine for today, it is very hard to stick with justone, I cant decide, and Im loving the fact that a lot are posting more than one, makes for a sotry i reckon. Mine are a few more action shots, not as good as yesterdays capture but ok and I do feel im getting better all the time, just cant figure out what is the best shutter speed to work with everytime I think ive got it, I get pics that just havent worked out. So Im just working in semi manual in P letting the camera decide on shutter and Apeture, slack I know!! First one is Cooper from the back January 20th Second one is Tully I call this flying blind!! it was an especailly windy afternoon here and im sure she had her eye shut cause the sheer force of the wind was blowing her eye lids nearly inside out the third one is my oldest girl Lacy, this one goes to show just how windy it was!!

Huga, love the cuz shot, is that a dinosour cuz, Looks like your doggy is about to attack. I love the excitment they get in thier faces when they have a favorite toy!! One of my girls has a regualr cuz and the feet are totally gone...LOL Lea, that is one sleepy sad looking doggy, nice shot!!

I figured it out, I turned the lappy upside down Derr to me!!

Before I had my Nikon, I had the Panasonic, fz20 and still have the panasonic fz 50 and they both have leica lenses, they do take fab photos, but not being slr they are no where near as fast. Still they do take beautiful pics!!

You do a great job, (sorry a bit off topic) I do all my guys too, just upgraded my clippers to a set from a basic set of whal to whal km single speed they have stainless steel cutting guides and they are totoally awesome to use, better than the crappy plastic ones. I love clipping my guys, I started doing it about 12 months ago when I couldnt find anyone in this town that did a decent job, (my good groomer stopped grooming) they always came home looking butchered so i thought why not give it a shot. anyway, back to the task at hand, I did a big comment on everyones pics the other day and my internet explored spat it big time and closed on me gee I was peed off!!

HA ha thats so cute, bit like Tully she is ball obsessed and the only one she doesnt challenge when he gets the ball is Cooper and the funny thing is he doesnt really like it wont bring it back and just wants the others to chase him...LOL I figured out how to do frames in photo bucket, I tried so hard in PS but just cant figure it out, ill have to persevere. I really liked the first shot too I cant remember if he was doing a big bound for the ball or if he dropped it in mid flight, bit of a fluke I might add, it did need a fair bit of sharpening but I was pleased with it in the end!! framed version...yay I did it!! Oh and nice shots Terra Nik, love the way the drops of water are falling!! and georgous doggy having a ball!!

Hi Guys, gee where is this month going it has gone so fast and doing this challenge is making me really aware of each day going so fast!! I am going to attempt to reply to all (hopefully all) the pics hope I dont leave anyone out. So first ill say everyones pics are bloody amazing (can I say bloody??) PM Love the flower pics and isnt PS wonderful, the different effects you can achieve, well done, I am still in basic mode!! Lea, Bondy's lovely, Great colors. Love the flower!! Kirislin, love the horse eye, I wouldnt have noticed the fly until you pointed it out!! Montal the purple flowers are stunning, such a beautiful shade of purple (purple is my fav color) Roc, Great shots as always, Rocco is an awesome subject. I totally know where your coming from, My Oldest Boy Cooper is a lot of my inspiration for my photography, and I think maybe like Rocco, he is very patient and lets me put him into position and seems to know what I want him to do for the picture, its amazing, hes my model doggy!! Ravyk Loved the glasses and the sunset. The fridge stuff was so so so gross, it is amazing how that mould looks, did you edit them or are they strait off the camera? Huga, Interesting tummy, is that a shooting star?? Ash I forgot to say yesterday your photos were totally awesome, my favorite one was the sunset from the plane. PC, your beagle bob pic is so cute, he looks like a lovley boy!! MTD Pink flowers shot is great, Im not usually observant but is that a finger in the back ground? Maggie is a stunner, love her hair cut, do you do your own grooming? Bindi, the hibiscus is great, love the frames they are very effective. Nicole, I love the perspective of the fruit bowl and the color of the blue wall is fab!! PPS, what can I say your horse shots are amazing!! Great colors and fab DOF Here is mine for today, I attempted action shots, I like the first one, the second one my white girl Tully is desperate to get the ball off Cooper so she is closely following him till he drops it!! and the third one is Tully I just liked this shot, I find it hard to get good pics of Tully being white. All taken on Nikon D80 19th January I was wondering can anyone tell me if they think my name thingy is too big, I had it bigger but I changed it, Iltby do you use the same size all the time, or does it depend on the photo your putting it on?? Love your guys, great that they are all looking strait at you, doesnt happen very often here...LOL My shots for today the first one was taken on the nikon and the second one was at the beach so I had the little point and shoot canon, nothing earth shattering but I liked Lacy just sitting high on the hill on her own, she was tried...LOL January 18th

Hi Guys, Im over my pc tongiht I just did a big long post commenting on all the recent pics and before I could finish, IE crashed on me and shut down :D not happy, so Ill make this quick, Lea I loved your setter pOinter pic, so gentle!! PC and CM great action shots of your doggies, love em!! Nicole there is nothing like a boy and his dog just beautiful!! JayC, is that an orchid, its georgous and I love your happy girl Earlier in a post I wrote that todays pics were only snap shots but on looking at them I decided they just didnt make the cut so I got out the 50 mm and grabbed a very unwilling subject (hubby not happy about having his face on the internet ) I was telling him how compliant Roc sister is and he reluctantly agreed. I have never done any portraits of people before so if anyone has any critiqes Id love to hear them, I also went with the sepia look and not sure I have it right and they will all look different as I just mucked around with the contrast in the color section till I got it right, not sure if there is an easier way to do sepia but I like that way cause you can change seperate pieces of the photo to make them lighter or darker. anyway here they are, cant believe we are more than half way through the month. 17th January Iltby, you will notice i finally got the watermark (is that what its called) right, not sure if Im doing it the right way but it is working so thats the main thing, now that I know how to do it Ill have a play....thanks again. looking forward to tomorow, maybe Ash might have pics on by then, looking forward to seeing them.

Ravyk, love the fish shots, it doesnt look like you shot them through glass they are so clear, the zoomies one musthave been hard to capture!! I cant see the first photo, I just get a box with an x in it. ps Poor Ant...LOL edited to add, I can see it now, pc must have had a hiccup!!

All The Flower shots are awesome, love the frangipanis and the gardinia. Rocco you have such great models, your photos just take on a life of thier own!! PPS, your rose is very effective on the bench top. well enough from me, here is mine for today, I couldnt choose and I had a big play in PS, not very successful I might add, Iltby I tried your directions finally got it to work, but had no idea how to drag it into the pic, I did it but i dont know how, also couldnt get it bigger, Im guessing I have to make the canvas bigger, the thing was It looked plenty big enough but when it went to the pic it was tiny, see first photo bottom right corner. The next two I added diffused glow in PS, not sure I like the effect but it is something different. the last one I just mucked about with the colors a bit. All taken on the Nikon D80 January 16th looking forward to tomorows pics!!

That was me... Project 365 is essentially this, but the whole year. One photo a day for a year. Each photo must be taken on a new day (no cheating!!). Mmm sounds interesting, maybe Ill just keep going, I havent cheated yet no seriously, I cant see the point in cheating, if your not up for the challenge then dont do it I reckon!! Although I have missed one day, it was when I was away I didnt take a single photo on that day which is so unlike me anyways is anyone else here doing project 365, just as a matter of interest and if so are you including the pics you have posted here as part of it??

Thanks so much for going to the trouble of explaining it all again, (btw the pics helped tremendously) I Still havent had time to try it out yet, but will def attempt it tonight, I will post one if I can work it out but your instructions are very clear, again thanks so much I have done a basic photography course which included basic PS things like levels curves and basic layers, I love it and hope to be able to do an advanced course this year sometime, but the way Im going with DOL there is so many talented people (like yourself) that are willing to help out which is fantastic, I have learnt so much, I may not need to do the course!! Im wondering now if I should continue to do a pic (or 2) a day for the whole year. What is project 365?? Someone mentioned it, think it may have been Nicole??

Ok Heres my effort for today, and effort it was, I was just not inspired today but this challenge is really making me think of things I can shoot. The first one is my collection of Shells and the second one (because I just couldnt choose shells over my boy Bronson) I liked it Im not even sure why I just did. Maybe tomorow Ill be more inspired!! Lea, Im having another dippy moment, is that a real doggy with your dog or is it a stuffed toy, either way it is very cute. Iltby, I had a go at making a name on my pics but I only got as far as the first direction as I couldnt even figure out how to create a blank canvas :rolleyes: I will however keep trying!! edited cause my spelling is sick!!
