Oh Jet, those pics are great!! Well done you ll be a pro before you know it. Its amazing how they look such different colors on the different angles. They sure are beautiful!!

Thanks for the replys, I wil have a go in light room and see how I go. do love light room and havent used ps at all since starting with it. But I usually only tweak the exposure and the temp, the clarity and the blacks. and depending on the pic a bit of vignetting. so very basic edits but they do make all the difference. The only way Id know how to change the sky color in PS would be to select the sky and change the color that way which looks a bit dodgy. Wil have to give it a try and see what happens. Luke You must really love your editing software. Your pics are always awesome, but I cant believe you dont use lightroom. Have you tried it??

Thanks Luke, Ive bookmarked the page so I can have a read.

hey Pandii, I have had a nagging suspision all day that i forgot something, and just at this minute I have remembered what it was, the cd I forgot to come pick it up. Will have to catch up at some point to get it. Thanks for doing it for me!!

Is the only way I can keep the sky is to do it in PS in layers. Is there anything I can do in light room to keep the sky but lighten the rest? I am shooting in raw.

Hi Guys, Im hoping there is a simple answer to the question Im about to ask. I was wondering when you are shooting on a day that is over cast say slightly blue sky but mostly cloudy and white, If I tune down the ex cop so that the sky is not blown out, it then makes the bottom of the photo darker so then in PP I bump up the exposure to compensate for the bottom of the photo being dark so I can see whats going on but then it just blows the sky out, defeating the whole purpose?? Im at a loss can anyone help with an easy expliination. Ill post pics so you can see what I mean!!

T & T, its great that Bruno will have someone he knows, it also might bring him out of his shell a bit more. JJ, The pets as therapy is atm all done through Geelong or Ballarat, the program is through Delta. I was all set and had a date to get my girls assesed and then I got the pup so I didn't go ahead with it. May do sometime in the future. as Maws will tell you if you get assesed and pass you have to do your visits in Ballarat or Geelong or Melbourne as once you are assessed and passed you can only visit Delta approved facilities. The factlities have to sign up to the program at a cost to cover insurance etc. Shan will be able to tell you more about the temp testing and the facility side of things as Maws has been assessed and passed and has been visiting. There was talk about the programe getting more involved in this area which would be great but it is getting facilities interested in becoming part of the program that is the hard part. I have also emailed a lady about the PALS program which is run through Lort Smith, it stands for Pets As Loving Support and basically works the same as Delta but facilities don't have to pay an annual fee, so I'm just waiting to hear back from them and hoping to get them interested in having a country program!! Pandii, Happy Birthday for Sunday, hope you have a nice day. Got anything specail planned for your Birthday?

Hi Tanya, No training this weekend as thier is a tracking day up at Patricias at hawksdale. I dont think it cost anything if you wanna go and check it out you would have to ring patricia to get the details. I am not going as We are heading out of town for the day. Hows Brunos Leg?? You may see a friend of yours at training the week after, Chantelle, if she gets her one on one lesson sorted before then. I think she will enjoy it!!

No they are the actual tickets. They have a coates workers name on them but thats ok all the sponsored ones for coates have the same name on them. Thanks for the chat offer but Im good really just wish the time would come so her suffereing ends, it is so cruel!! How did you go with Dantes lump??
-
Hi Pandii, glad you will still be able to go. will catch up at some stage to give you the tickets. Im not making any plans for the next few days and just taking each day as it comes as Nan is in hospital now so it could be any time.
-
Oh Im so glad, Im sure you and RJ will have a fun day!!
-
Hey Pandii, how did you get on with Dantes lump at the vet??
-
Yes it was good to have a catch up and so fantastic to have another keen photographer in our midst!!

Pandii and RJ, Hubby came home with the FFK tickets and there was a bit of a stuff up, he had asked for 8 (5 for you Pandii) and (3 for you RJ) but they would only give him 5. I feel bad now as I told you both I would be able to get the tickets (hubby said he had them so I just assumed he had all the 8 I asked for, but when he bought them home there was only 5) So If it is ok with you guys, Pandii can have 3 and RJ can have two since Pandii has more kids but if you wanna take extras you'll have to pay for them I think they are cracking down because they are $30 a ticket now. Let me if know if you don't want them as I'm sure i will be able to find someone else who would gladly take them off my hands!! Edited to add. RJ how funny when I started posting your post wasn't there and when I posted it was, we must have been posting at the same time:laugh: let me know as soon as you can about the tickets. Thanks.

Hi, I bet you get a wide variety of responses in this thread, I guess cameras are a bit like dogs everyone has thier favorite. I think if you go with Nikon or Canon you cant go wrong, both front runners in DSLRs. I have the D80 Nikon and I love it it is my first slr and it is not to hard to use, its fast, its precise and the pictures are awesome!! I cant really compare it to anything else as it is my first DSLR. Have you had a look at the site Dpreview it is really good and gives great comparisons on different cameras. Good luck with your search!!

Great shots everyone. Rocco, Just gotta love the look on the kids face down the slide what a classic....

Dont get too excited they were my first attemp at panning so ok I guess. But the dogs had a ball as you can see from the pics!!
