  1. Hi Munchin, And Tez I see you there as well. Hope you can make it to trianing on Sunday, it is a fun day this week. Hope the oval is not as wet as it was last week, very hard to train in slop!! We have organised a walk for after training, at 11.30 at thunder point, so you hopefully you Jane will be ok to come. How has she been going? Munchin, can you make it on Sunday? SO far I think Me, RJ, JJ are a definate, hopefully a few more will be able to make it and we will hope the weather is ok on the day. Cooper has had 2 walks on his long lead and so far so good tonight was the last of his tablets.
  2. Bloody hell that aweful!! Will you be ok till you find another job? Maybe you could go work for armagaurd Pandii said they cant get workers?? Will be great to have you come on mid week walks though. Arent some employers shocking in thier ethics they always expect the workers to do the right thing but they never do. Hope something comes up for you soon.
  3. Hi I just read your last couple of posts, doesnt sound good, do you think he is improving at all?? I do agree the hospital here leaves a lot to be desired!! Hope he comes right soon.
  4. I think I tend to agree with JJ, he may go down hill even worse over night, might be the best place for him!!
  5. Bloody hell thats no good, hope he is ok, poor fella!!
  6. Oh Poor Dylan, hope he gets over it ok. I have the rotten cough, I had the cold but the cough keeps on hanging on. The cold air at bunnings in the evenings definatley doesnt help. Hope your lot are on the mend 2 JJ
  7. Gee that must have been a tough time!! The bolded part reminded me about last weekend, My oldest dog Cooper had a dislocated toe and after the trip to the vets and xrays to see what was wrong etc He needed 2 weeks with no excersise, I decided to take him with me to Melbourne last weekend to get him out of the house but at the same time I have Plantis facitis in my foot and had also pulled a muscle in the same leg so what a sight we must have looked when We got out of the car a couple of times for pit stops, both of us limping.
  8. Oh the poor baby, that pin looks nasty, will it have to stay there forever. I hope you have lots of luck in keeping her quiet, it will be tough. Let us know how she is going!
  9. Oh poor Puppy, I have just had one of mine with a dislocated toe and he has been on complete rest for nearly two weeks now but he is 3 and wuite happy to laze about the house, only an issue when I go out with the other dogs so I have been leaving one of the other 3 with him for company. Does she have to have complete crate rest? Is the leg in a cast? @ weeks doesnt sound like much rest time for a fracture, do you have any idea how she did it? I havent really got any suggestions as to how you can keep her intertained, apart from chew toys but there is only so much chewing a doggy can do!! With regards to the crates being next to each other you may just have to see how they react and take it from there. Good luck, hope she heals quickly, it will be tough on her and the rest of the family as she is young and will have lots of energy to burn.
  10. The bell I use is just like a mini cow bell but any bell would do, I just hung it on the door with a piece of string and when I was about to take Tully out for a wee, I just touched her foot on it so that once she went out I hoped she would make the connection bell = outside, lots of praise etc. I never used treats for toilet training as I just think it is something that comes naturally, so I just used lot of praise. Tully doesnt touch the bell woth her foot she uses her nose and the other dogs are the same, but either way she got the idea, started one night and the next she was doing it on her own and I never taught the others they just picked it up off her. A lot of people said it would end up and attention thing and they would be ringing it all the time for attention but they dont. Like I said Tully will ring the bell if the cats at the door, also in the wee hours of the morning if she is asleep under the bed (this is where she sleeps half the night) and wants to get on the bed she will ring the bell to wake me cause she waits to be asked to get on the bed, so she has to ring the bell to wake me to tell her to get on the bed, which is crazy to me cause I just think to myself "just jump up and dont bother walking me. "but she wont unless I say it is ok.
  11. Ah Yes, I thought it was wierd, cause you said you were off to look at the photos, which would have meant you hadnt even seen the girls in thier jackets....Derr My cupboard is full of dog clothes, for me and the dogs
  12. Everyones shots are great, well done!! BB love the orange, with your doggy ones were you using the 50mm lense? Takes a bit of getting used to for the point of . JS, your shots are fab, R&A your kids are great subjects. Ash, lovely editing of the kids shots. newfsie, Great shots, AnnieK, love the doggy car shots! WOlf song your shots are all fantasitc, love the cemetary one, the sky is awesome!
  13. Out of the four of mine 3 of them were toilet trained by 6 months but one took a lot longer and wasnt reliable till 9 months. Also with one of mine, she was great and would go to the door and hardly ever had an accident in the house apart from if we didnt see her at the door (she never made a sound) we would find a puddle, so I decided to teach er to use a bell to let us know if she wanted to go out. We never looked back, it only took her a day to learn to ring the bell after I showed her a few times and now if she needs to go she rings the bell, great for the middle of the night. and the other dogs use the bell to apart from one who would rather voice her need to go to the loo... They also ring the bell if the cat needs to come in!! Good luck with your pup, the bell may be worth a try, but if she is coming into season it may be just par for the course. also if she did have a UTI, it may not be cleared up.
  14. Were you refering to the girls jackets? I mainly had them on them at training becasue of all the mud, and with Tully being white, it is so hard to get her clean after the mud from Brierly it seems to take on a life of it s own, like alien mud that is so black and hard to remove, you should have seen her jacket it is so bad had to soak it first!! even after the afternoon walk and Tully got in to swim she still had the mum ingrained into her fur. Maybe I should look into a full body suit for her kind of like a wet suit. It also doesnt help that she rolls and rubs in the mud, she loves it. Also the jackets are good as I basically got the girls strait out of bed and off to training and it was blooming cold yesterday especially that time of the morning!!
  15. :D Funny about that!! Most pics of me I have my dog clothes on too, actually come to think of it every day is a dog day for me so I am always in my dog clothes apart from when I go to the big green shed!! edited to say I dont mind at all that you posted the pic, I might take the good camera next time if the weather is better.

  19. Cute pups Linda, they look like a bunch of Collingwood supporters
  20. Oh Poor Jane, you would think they would have taken her out first thing in the morning. We will aim for a walk next weekend then, and may be we can make it after training if that would suit you better. Im sure some of the others can make it then too, if we said around 11.30, well talk about it through the week and hopefully get a few who would like to come along too, the more the merrier!! And hope for good weather!!
  21. Great to hear Jane is improving and she will continue as she gets older and your willing to put the work in so that makes all the difference, Have you been walking Jane since her op? I know with my girls the vet said no walks for a few days to give the inside time to heal? Wish you were in town tomorow to come with us but it wouldnt be much fun for jane if she has to be on lead. When you finally get to come with us Jane is going to love Thunder point. Is everyone ok with thunder point for tomorows walk? If it is absolutley pouring rain I will probly give it a miss but other than that Im there with bells on!! RJ, mine had a ball today as you could very well tell!! and I think little sniffy enjoyed himself too and will only get better as he goes along im sure. Maybe next time we go out well give the whistle a good go with him getting he recalling in one blow and jackpot rewards, what do you reckon, then for those just incase moments when we need him to come asap we will whistle!!
  22. Hi Laura, It will be great to get pickle updates!! Sounds like Roxy is getting used to the little tyke. I think your right it will be good for her. Still keeping my ear to the ground for potential puppy homes. JJ how does 1.30 sound for a walk? is that too late/early for you, any other takers, Tania? RJ? Pandii? Munchin? Maws? Tenties? Tez, I guess you wont be at training with young jane out of action, How is she doing? And JJ I certainly dont mind if you bring your pup she couldnt be any more nuttier than my lot :D
  23. Great shots so far everyone, Im not going to do this months challenge but will pop in from time to time to check out the fab pics!! Keep up the good work!!
