Hey RJ, I dont think there is any flyball in town, gee Im gonna be pissed at myself if there is, I thought I did all my homework when I realized how ball obsessed Tully was at an early age, as I thought if I found local fly ball she could start around 12 months, she is now 2, but still ball obsessed

Ah JJ, you know a lot about a lot I was curious about the two clubs and that all makes sense, it was Laura (roxley on DOL) who bought it to my attention and I didnt have a clue!! I can let her know, if she hasnt read it here first! Thanks for the info. Laura bought Pickles into Bunnings this arvo, and he was just his normal self when he seen the others that woork there and then when he seen me his whole demeanour (sp) changed he definattly knew who I was, very clever little doggie!! He was so cute and I couldnt pat him as he had his working jacket on,

Yes I have seen the show there, the last one my auntie took my nan to and they were amazed at the poodles especially with thier fancy hair cuts!! There wouldn't be any point showing them if they weren't well bred I guess!
-
Yes she is so so so cute, she wasnt impressed on Sunday, she cryed and barked and wasnt happy at all for the first part of the walk, she was trying to tell JJ she was hungry she settled down on the way back though!! I loved the pic of Tez carrying her. Also a bit out of sorts cause they were one short without Amy, My lot are like that to they always act differently when they are not all together!!
-
Nope, but I know a few of the dogs entered and would love to see how they go in the flesh. If it was in Warrnambool I might be tempted!

Is this place ..... http://www.dogsvictoria.org.au/Clubs.asp?ClubID=557 and this place..... http://www.wdts.org.au/ the same thing??

I can imagine he would be very protective of home and family, not always a bad thing. I wouldnt like for anyone to jump my fence either My 3 little fluffs would probly bark or lick them to death but Cooper would be very protective and bail them up I would imagine!! All very interesting how people aquire the dogs they have, I loved to read mikes story on his website about his love of Vizslas from an early age, his bond with his dogs really shows in how he is with them!! You obviously done your homework before you got the big fella and all the waiting paid off he is great!!

Tanya, Cookie is a looker, he does look at lot like Bruno, is he a slightly darker color? Have you thought about showing Bruno, I have never noticed if he is desexed? I dont even know if you can show a desexed dog? maybe they have thier own section. I haven't a clue about showing dogs!! That pic of Cookie if he is only 9 months old there, he is a good size but at what age are they fully grown?? Will Bruno get any bigger or just fill out more? I cant get over his nature it is just awesome, I have always been a bit ont he scardey side of bigger dogs but around Bruno he has a real calming effect and makes you feel safe!! Can I asked what made you choose the breed? Did you have other breeds in mind before you choose Bruno?

The trials have nothing to do with the actual club, anyone can compete if you have a dog that trials, it is just that harris street have the facilitys so they have the trials there. Briely dont have agility training, we often have fun days with some agility equipment that we use and incorperate training into the fun day. We dont do any jumps and dont encourage dogs on our fun days to do the agility jumps if they are under 12 months old, we let the jumps down low so the dogs can still get a fel for the jump even though it is closer to the ground. We have tracking days and there is levels and standards that the dogs can achieve, Cooper has a "track one" pass in tracking and it is a lot of fun although there is a lot of standing around on the day as it is a one dog activity and if there is a lot of dogs it takes some time. Brierly is hoping to do some fund raising for the club and get some new equipment, and fly ball is one of the things we really want to trial but the equipment is expensive and there is so much stuff we need. I dont think there is fly ball anywhere else in town as WTD dont have a course they used to I think a long time ago as they have the ball box but not sure if they have thought about doing it again something to do with it conflicting with agility???? Not saure of the full story!! There is a dog Swim Gym at Hawkesdale (Patricias place) veterinarian guidance is advisable before using the facitlity and not sure how much she charges but maybe we should organise a get together and all let the dogs have a swim in the pool. We used the indoor pool at kepala and my lot werent all that keen o it you have to train them to get out at a certain part which takes a bit of doing. Cooper knows Pats pool well when it was in the early stages and full of manky water it looked like ti had a solid top and he decided to run across it well he didnt get very far. Thank goodness I was close by because he couldnt get out and his initial reaction was panic which made him nearly sink!!! Anyway has anyone ever heard of the Warrnambool And District Kennel And Obedience Dog Club Inc?? Laura asked me about it as she was going to give them some flyers about SEDA but I hadnt heard of them at all?? The web site says they have a dog show coming up in 2010. have a look here, http://www.dogsvictoria.org.au/Clubs.asp?ClubID=557 Tanya are you interested in getting Bruno assessed to be a therapy dog? Not sure if you seen earlier posts by Shannon about Delta, Mawson is a delta dog and I had an appointment to get my girls assessed but I had to cancel as I got Bronson and couldnt get to the appointment at the time so had to miss out but do intend sometime in the future to get the girls assesed especailly if there is enough interest in the town and Delta get a local facility signed up, at the moment Shannon has to go to Geelong for visits and to me I just dont think I could find the time to do Geelong it is just a little bit far away as much as I think it is a great program!! Tully and Lacy have both been on lots of visits to Lyndoch they absolutley love it!! It would be good if we had a lot more doggie stuff to do here but sadly I just dont think there is enough interest, not everybody are crazy dog people like us I am so going to push for flyball at brierly casue Tully is such a ball nut I think she would love it. Mine are all so different, Cooper great at tracking and not bad at obedience, Lacy is a wizz at obedience, Tully is just ball crazy and not sure what Brons special talent is yet?? He will probly always be good at being a cheeky bossy pup!

Ripley more Awesome bird shots!! your pet parrot is stunning!! -
Got curious so I checked out the Moyne shire Local Laws, they have pretty maps with colored in areas different colors for on leash off leash and it makes it really clear, and it states that some of the restricted areas are only restricted certain times of the year. Pity the WCC didnt have maps like that as well.

Tez, you are most welcome and hope you can come next time too, It was so obvious jane was having a balll, like I said so nice to see them all getting along so well. JJ, Chantelle should definatley come with us soon. Gee that show came around quick, keep us posted on how the girls do, Im sure they will star!! I have seen and read those council laws so many times it is unclear about thunder point, there is no mention of anything beyond foreshore and Mc Donald street? Wonder if the TP track is considered foreshore? Unless it is covered in the all public areas part??? Us and everyone else around has been doing dogs off leash there for years, if it is on leash you would think they would at least put signs up!! Oh but this is the council who put "dogs must be one lead" signs at Albert park, till it was bought to thier attention that it is an off leash area, so all the signs have now been removed. Does anyone know what the dogs on beach laws are at Kilarney?? There is no signs at Gromans lane, but not sure about closer to Kilarney? On leash swimming doesn't sound like much fun, not the way my lot swim there are plenty of places they are allowed to swim off lead! Tez, do you know what color Janes dad was? Im guessing he is black? Funny how it works out, My white girls mum was all black and she turned out the opposite. I never knew till last time we went walking with JJ that Vizslas are all the same color!! Edited to add: If anyone is wondering why the heck I am up so late, I had been to sleep but woke about 1.15 and couldnt get back to sleep so I thought why not check out the goings on! as you do!!
-
If you just keep walking you come to it sooner or later!! Where abouts at the breakwater can they swim, do you mean along the foreshore? You didnt miss a whole lot at training, there was only about 4 there plus us and it was so windy the dogs were all pretty out of sorts. Yeah just go along foreshore, dogs can go there only during winter periods... There were a couple of people that walked past and Bruno wanted to play with them, well they nearly had heart failure think they thought he was going to eat them... thats funny!! Maybe they have changed the laws along that stretch, I always thought between the BW and the flume it was leash only and in summer times no dogs on the beach at all?? I havent been down there for ages. Logans is great as the dogs can paddle while you check out the whales!! Not a good beach for them to swim in though, Lacy has nearly been dragged out a couple of times, I have been going to get her a life vest for summer but there is no where in town that sell the ezy dog ones so wil have to wait till I can get one from Geelong or order on line but i would like to get her one before summer for the rougher beaches since she is such a dare devil in the water

Some more great shots today, BB, the man and the ducks are great, the mans legs almost look transparent!! anniek, great dribble shot with the point and shoot, love the grey shots!! Ripley, your bird shots are awesome, I think you have got the back lit thing down pat!! Black Magic, Just love the gull shots, the colors the composition everything about them is great! You are right about black doggies hard to capture I think White is hard to capture too especially with back lit as the sky usually blends in with the white fur!! JS, Fantastic shots, my favorite is the two people on the bench!! No sun here to day, so I am posing an oldie, hope I haven't posted it before. Bronson "out to sea" -

Hi Guys, I had a great time today despite the weather!! The doggies all seemed to have a ball, I bet they are all having a rest now, especailly Jane who has had the biggest day!! Here are some snaps from today. Heading down the track, Ah the beach, it was a bit cold and windy but the doggies didnt care!!! Jane and her new Best friend Mawson This one is a bit blurry but I thought it was cute, check out Lacy in the top left corner, shes like Humph, Im not running like a maniac!!
-
Just thought Id jump on quickly just to say, the weather is foul here at the moment as you are probly all aware, how was that clap of thunder this morning ;) so loud, I was very proud of my doggies, they didnt bat an eye at it!! Anyway who knows with the Warrnambool weather what it is going to be like by lunch time so unless it is absolutley pouring with rain Ill still be at thunder point at 12.30!! Hope to see you all there. Im off to train puppies btu I seriously doubt by the look of outside that many will turn up today!!
-
Oh thats no good, About the bub or no place to live, Hope the little fella is going to be ok? Also hope you find somewhere to live ASAP.
-
:D to the world new baby boy!! Congrats Linda!! Any luck on the house hunting yet?? Im hoping the weather holds out for tomorows walk. I took the dogs to Albert park today and we did two laps then I thought bugger it, and went to Thunder point, I just decided them creeps are not keeping me away from somewhere we (me and the dogs) love. It was great, no creeps in sight and it was so nice and mild. We had a wonderful walk.
