  1. Oh thats great. Good also that you might doggy sit as it will give you a good idea of how Miss Jane will be with another dog around!!
  2. Great shots Shell, I think I like the perspective of the first one better, but I think you look more relaxed or really asleep in the second one!!
  3. I really dont know but it is a worry, If I had to count today I would say there was about 10+ and the majority of them looked freshly dead if that makes sense, My guys are about over them they sniff now and walk away I think cause there are so many and they only roll in the older dead ones that are smelly, we also came across a very smelly dead seal today the poor thing. Hope you had a nice visit with your friend, although we did miss you today for sure!! I forgot to say I wont be at training next week, we have a dog day planned out of town with some of Bronsons Brothers and his breeder which we are so looking forward to, we catch up a couple of times a year and have a great time.

  16. NOVEMBER CHALLENGE Back to basics - Practicing on portraits (human or animal) for Av and capturing movement for Tv - if you are shooting manual, the world is your oyster! Spread the word that this is a great time for people to jump into the challenges. This month will be re-examining shooting in AV and TV modes and for those who have a good grasp; you will be shooting in M mode only. AV - Av is the aperture priority mode on your camera. Essentially, the smaller the number, the larger the opening/aperture is. In Av mode, you select the size of the aperture and the camera will automatically set the shutter speed Tv - is your shutter speed. If you are shooting something in motion, depending on the speed of your subject, you will want a shutter speed of at least 1/200th of a second. If you start playing with slow shutter speeds, you may want to use a tripod. When using the Tv mode, the camera will automatically set the aperture. Manual - you need to set the ISO, Tv and Av yourself. The best way to learn manual mode is to keep it SIMPLE, check your results in the back of the camera and practice. I'll post more about Av and Tv modes a bit later but right now I'm taking my human kids for a walk. Thanks for the Challenge details Ash. Troy could you please pin this thread? Thanks so much!!
  17. It was a great afternoon and so many awesome dogs competing. I wish I had of taken my camera. Cooper was a very good boy and just watched the goings on with interest and met some nice doggies and socialized with a few young pups learning the ropes. The weather was just right too!!
  18. Yes I totally agree with you, I would never take any of mine to an event of any sort and let them run riot. If I couldn't control them I wouldn't take them. I think it is only common courtesy to the competitors to be out of the way and not interfere with any of the goings on in any way.
  19. They all look like they are doing great JJ!! I love the one of all of them asleep with Mum. Good Luck with Tarni on Sunday. Pandii, I have gone for a look for the last 3 years and always taken CJ with me and no one seemed to mind at all, we stayed well out of the way and just observed the goings on. Hi Cramet!!
  20. Some lovely sunset shots here guys, I havent been able to participate, been away for half the month and been sick for the rest and the weather here (apart from the last few days) has been really ordinary. I look forward to getting back into it next month!!
  21. Anyone heading to Harris street over the weekend for a looky??
  22. How was the beach, I would have joined you but we had arranged a play date with Coopers brother Harry, not that they did much playing too hot for them so they spent most of the time under the shade of the trees!! Pics on face book.
  23. Yep other dogs are fine!! If you are keen could you pm me your number so I can Pass it on to the Puppy co ordinator. I think she just has to assess suitability but it is easy peasy she just comes to your house has a chat and thats all there is to it, and with temp care there is no obligation if they ring you and you cant do it thats fine, they just go to the next person on the list. This lot of puppies are all fairly cruisy and layed back, now they are around 12 weeks old.
  24. Why? As long as your dogs are friendly (which they are) and you can look after the pup thier shouldnt be no worries?? We are puppy caring next week just overnight, the pup is around 13 weeks old, should be fun although it may cure me of my puppy cluckiness as I havent had to do any toilet training for about 16 months now
  25. Hi guys, whats everyone been up to? Hows the pups JJ? If anyone knows of anyone who would be interested in being a temp carer for a SEDA puppy let me know? It would only be occasionally and generally only over night.
