Hi, Have you ruled out the possibility of a UTI?? Probly a long shot but just a thought. I have 4 dogs and 3 of them were fully toilet trained by about 5 months but my first girl she was a shocker I had to literally take her out to wee every 10 minutes or there would be an accident and I dont think with her it was that she couldnt hold it, she just didnt have any idea what was appropriate, the other 3 picked up strait away that outside was good but Lacy just didnt get it, we later found out she had not been even remotley taught anything where she came from was kept in a pen and never had a toileting area and a designated sleeping area and I really do believe this contributed to her problems. Anyway 9 months later I could say she was toilet trained but even now not with accidents in the house but if we are out and about and she decides she needs to go she just does. Like doing number 2's in the middle of bridge road Richmond so embarasssing but what can you do at least we have no accidents in the house and once she got it, she got it and it was only from perserverance on my part. My youngest has a crate but only for sleeping. I am not a fan of crates for toilet training, i think you have to put in the hard yards to teach them the right thing and if that means in and out a lot then so be it. 13 weeks is still only very much a puppy and early days. I just read back your post you said she goes outside 95% of the time when you tell her. I think you have to make her go out, dont have it on her terms and go with her and make sure she goes, my girl even now she will go out but doesn't always go I have to make sure she has been before she comes back inside otherwise she will hang on for hours and hours which I dont think can be a good thing. Anyway good luck, time and patience will help your pup along and remember it doesnt happen over night.

Great shots everyone, I have been slack the last couple of days, its been sooo hot here, I guess like everywhere and with work I just havent picked up the camera!! I did get a few pics from our dog day on Sunday, This is Harriet again six weeks older than the last pic I posted and her dad Curt off to the beach today so I might take the camera!

Lovely shots, thoses pups sure grow fast!! Pandii did you end up getting an editing program? What did you get?

If im up there i sure will but atm Im steering clear till they cut the grass, it is way too long for my liking!! I went to Harris st this morning and they had the liitle wading shell pool in the cage so my lot had a great time, and the grass is short there, so its great part from the beach it is about the only safe place atm. Im on days off after today so we will be hitting the beach for sure.
-
Maybe now but there was no excuse last week or the week before, hopefully they will be onto it soon!
-
Great shots, she looks the part, when I did my lot the two oldest ones were like Oh god here we go again and they look so serious, but your girl looks so happy well done!! The first and third ones are my favorites!!

If any council ACP is reading this can you please organize to have the grass cut at Albert Park, save me a phone call!

Tanya, have you ever seen anyone patrolling down there as in rangers?? In all the time ive been going I have never seen anyone remotley resembling a ranger ever. I dont go there much after the the 31st Oct because you have seen my 4 in the water they are nutters and down there they just love it as they can swim right out. Not worth the risk letting them off and getting caught even if Im the only one there. Has there been many off lead there latley??
-
Hi Tez, glad they are getting on well. DOnt know how they manage to play in the heat!! Mine have just slept all day. I left them inside with the ceiling fans on while I went to work today, I think they are all still exhausted from yesterday!! Heres hoping for a day not so hot tomorow!!

I was just thinking back to late last summer, there was a big stink in the paper because there was a group of about 20 people and dogs down there one day and none of the dogs were being supervised and the owners were turning a blind eye to thier dogs toileting and not picking up pooh etc. May be thats why thier is new signs to make it clearer for people to see??
-
Hi Jess the part your talking about is on leash but no one seems to abide by this especailly in the evenings, I too havent been down there for a long while, so I didnt know there was new signs. The only part of the beach down there this time of year off leash is from the left of Ritches point car park (turn before the bridge) this part of the beach is off leash around to the flume. and the other way it is logans beach down to just before the mouth of the river. I love the mouth of the river for the dogs too swim cause it is so flat and perfect depth for then to run and have a good swim. Tanya when you say the blue hole where exactly do you mean??

Oh bugger, we cant seem to get our acts together, I had to work till 6 and you can imagine how hot it is out at Bunnings so I was stuffed by the time I got home. Hope you had a nice time. Tez, you will have fun with the GR, Jane will love it!!

Hi Guys, we had a great day today, we took the pups and went to Bacchus Marsh, (thank god for air cons ) to my friends place where we met up with Bronsons breeder and between us all we had 9 dogs, they all had a ball even though it was hot we spent the majority of the day inside and the dogs were all so well behaved not a snipe among them apart from when Bronson decided he was going to gaurd the esky, he must have been able to smell the chicken wings that were in there!! I sorted him out quick smart, moved the esky outside!! Anyway not sure what the temp got to here but it was sure hot up there. Not sure what the rest of the week is meant to be like but I hope the big green shed has cooled down by tomorow!! Will upload some pics to facebook tomorow if anyone wants to check out our fun day!!
