Hey Shannon, about time you posted, what are you doing to fill in time while you ar ein Tassie?? I will pass onto Laura that you would be interested in temp care, they could always do with people on thier books to do short stints. Cant believe I didnt tell you about Sonic, I think it was the week you were away maybe in QLD?? Anyway hope you get to go soon, it must be dissapointing to get down there only to have to wait. If anyone with kids or without for that matter is interested on Thurday night Bunnings is having thier annual Christmas Family night, all the usual stuff and more. Im doing the santa photos so I might see some of you about out there. It starts at 6 and goes till 8. Hey Tez, hows the finger today feeling a little better I hope? Ann (with Benny) was at work today and she has decided she is definatley going to rehome Benny :-( poor feela hope he finds a nice family, she says she just hasnt got the time for him and she is away a lot and he has started to dig out under the fence.

Oh Tez, how exciting, I really hope it works out. Are you going to Tassie on your own? Are you going on the big boat? Your poor finger, I must have sent the pm about the same time as you were posting this post. Hey how sure are you that this dog is Janes Brother? When you go to the RSPCA you might be lucky enough to get Jenny, she knows you so might be able to move things on a bit. RJ, your 7 acres is slowly filling up with your lot and your new dog :D me and my four ferrels, Jj and the Golden Girls, Tez, Jane and the chooks and Possibly Janes Brother Wayne/shane

Yes, I think that's the trick in the beginning, My two Aussies would be a massive handful now if I'd not spent time grooming them daily as puppies. They have a relatively easy care coat but parts of it are as prone to matting as the schnoodledoodles (the pants and behind the ears in particular). It was just a matter of patience, rewarding for good behaviour and making the whole deal a peaceful and pleasureable experience. Now, when I walk out with a brush in my hand, I have two eager doggies presenting themselves to me in the "groom" position.....lying on their sides, ready to be brushed. I agree with this too, So many people say to me "oh how do you deal with grooming 4 coats" but the proof is in the pudding as they say. Lots of time with the brush and clippers when they were all young and its never been a problem, Like you GayleK, mine are keen to be brushed, one in particular my white girl jumps on the grooming table in rediness for the brushing :D the other cant jump that high or they would be up there too.

There is definatly better dry out there than supercoat, such as the ones you have mentioned, eagle pack, pro plan just to name a few. Although in saying that all mine were bought up on supercoat puppy and 3 of them now still have supercoat junior but it is only a small part of thier diet as they are fed mainly meat, veg raw meaty bones chicken wings etc. Also my oldest one is on Eagle pack as he is finicky with his food and sometimes only eats dry food for days on end and I feel supercoat is not enough on its own. Good luck with your pup, Im sure some more will pop in with good advice too!!

Beautiful doggies, We had a pup at our obedience school today in my class and he was the smartest little pup, so clever picked up every command right away and just a very confident little dog. Happy around the other dogs big and small. Heres a couple ofpicture of My girl Tully and Sunny (the Samoyed)and a little Malt x shitzu Ruby, all the white doggys together, which was funny cause they were out numbered by lot of black dogs today!! Samoyeds are certainly beautiful dogs. Possibly the breeder of this little guy is a doler? as they got him from a reg breeder on full reg.

Oh tez, your poor finger, I bet it is super painful, We didnt get much of a chance to catch up today. If you are ever coming over any time in the next month or so or you just wanna catch up with Jane for a play, give me a yell and well meet up. Bella did do well today and so did Benny, the word is Bens owner is still thinking about rehomimg him which is sad, he is full on but needs more things to keep him busy and she says she just doesn't have the time for him, she didn't realize how much time she would need to spend with him but I keep telling her he is only young give him time. So hopefully she will persevere!! It would be so great if you could get A brother for Jane, You know how you said it was bad timing, is it only cause you are going away? Maybe you could go ahead with it and kennel him while you were gone? Probly a bit unfair to get him then kennel him but better if he goes to you than possibly the other option?? You could make it work, what would Leigh say?? It was a really nice day today and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

So Many great pics everyone, I am loving this thread!! I spent most of today making doggy treats for our obedience club Xmas break up on Sunday so I snapped a few shots off Tully with the treats, i think she looks quite happy, maybe its cause she is sitting next to about 30 bags of liver and peanut butter cookies.
