:D All of the above for me too, If we go away we take the dogs if they cant come, we dont go!! Do you have a dog limit, I found when I had 2 or even three that was ok but there have been a few places that wont have us stay now because we have 4. Even though they know we haven't been a problem and the dogs are well behaved, they say if they do it for one then they have to break thier rules for everyone!! A place where kids where there are not a lot of kids would suit us as we have none. Probly the biggest thing for us No 1 and No 2 of KismetKats list. We have stayed at dog friendly accommodation that have supplied dog bowls and treats for the dogs as wel!! Please tell us where you are!! or a link to your accomodation would be great!!

ah you see, horses arghhhh. Funny the other day I was out there with Deb and we always keep our eyes peeled and we spotted some coming up fast behind us, so we called the dogs in all 6 of them clipped them on lead and the horses galloped past us 2 or 3 times and Coop is totally unreactive on the lead, he couldnt care less that the horses were like a 2 meters away and racing past us. Pickles is 8 months old now, I couldnt be a carer Id get too attached, Laura had done it a couple of times now as she has worked with SEDA for a few years. She said you get it in your head at the start that the pup has to go at the end of 12 months.

Hey Tez, its funny cause I know exactly how you feel, and even now have to be on the look out for things that trigger Cooper and his highly sociable little brain I try not to get complacent, cause if I do you can be sure around the next corner will be the next thing to test my patience with him, but like I said I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel and think it is time and patience and lots of training that has finally paid off. I used to get so annoyed that I had to be so cautious and always have the lead ready and always be on the look out for triggers but I came to the realization that that is just how it had to be and I think the more I relaxed the better he became! Funny that the other 3 are totally different and I have done nothing different with them at all. Yes and how cute is Pickles, they were funny all getting lined up for a photo, and when pickles first got out of the car Lacy went running up to him to play then she kind of stood back as if to say whoooo your big now he has gotten a lot bigger since thier last play date!!

Rozzie, love the teef!! PM, to me it looks like your camera has focused on the water drops (which I thought were a crystal ) and not your little girl! -

I am not good with experimenting in LR, I just wanna get it done quick and Im too impatient, I need to learn to experiment and find what works best! Thanks for your help, also trying to not have so many shots in the middle, still not great but working on it for sure!!

A quick question, with the DOL gorup on flickr 52 weeks for dogs, Do I actually have to add the photo each week to the group or is my set of CJ connected to the group somehow, Now that I've written this down I see it sounds sill and I figure I have to add the photo each week??

Shell I know exactly what you mean, I think if I had of got the actual cliff top in the shot as well it wouldn't look so over the top if that makes sense, but I was using my 50 mm and I just snapped the shot and didnt have time to move back to get him all in, anyway think Ill just go with the the first shot for my 52 weeks. Thanks for your help.

Shell, the franny shot is great and I really like the one of Mow (hope I spelt it right) he looks like a sweetheart!! TN, your flyball shot is fantastic!! Bec, love your shot of Henry!! SB, I am guessing it is would have been hard to shoot the model with the lighting being so dark, nice shot!! kirislin, I just love your shot, you sure did snap just at the right time, brilliant capture!! Ams, love the lazy pie shot, He looks like he has the longest legs!! Evolving, funny Echo getting a drink out of the tap, mine all love to drink from the tap too!! Mine for today, we had a play date with Pickles, he is a SEDA puppy, my friend is the co ordinator for the puppy program here in the town where i live. I really liked this one of Laura and my girl Tully! This one just because it is cute! and just cause i cant decide heres another one of pickles Thanks for all the comments on my shots, I think it is great people take the time to comment cause I think it does give you a boost to know others have taken the time out just to look at your shots and notice things about them, good or bad!! I think thats what its all about. Still proud of myself that I havent missed a day yet!! -

Tez, you are doing everything right and I mean everything, I have seen the way you are with Jane and you are faultless with your training techniques, I know I have said this to you before but Cooper was exactly the same, he was great with no distractions but as soon as there was another dog, or a person or a horse or anything really away he would go and no amount of calling or screaming or yelling or me running in another direction was going to bring him back to me!! After about 2 years it started to change and I was always consistant in my rewards and everything I did, even now occasionally he bucks the system and decides there is something he would rather go and see than listen to me but those times are few and far between. The other day we were at the park and a horse came over the hill very close to us, we were sitting I was taking photos under a shady tree and his focus turned to what I thought would just be another dog and I turned around and it was a horse only about a stones throw away, boy did I move, I know the younger ones wouldn't chase, Tully will bark, but Cooper well off he went I jumped up had the whistle in my mouth quick as and ran in the opposite direction so bloody quick, he only went a little way then turned around and came to me I was so stoked he got the biggest treat and huge pats, I thought for sure he would have kept going but he seems to be sticking more closely which is fantastic. I always say he has a threshold of distance if the horse is in the distance he is fine although if I seen it getting close I would pop the lead on. I think with Jane you have to do what I did with CJ always be on the look out for situations that arise that you know she is going to react to and pop the lead on when you know she is going to go, I know this is hard very hard as I have been doing it for nearly 4 years now and even though CJ is getting better and better all the time there are still times like horses etc that I wouldn't trust him to do the right thing and stick close. I always maintain some dogs are just like this it is in thier nature, no fear and very sociable. I was lucky that my other 3 aren't so adventurous, they never really went through a fear stage but they are just different, dont know how Id cope with 4!! My friend and I were also talking about recall today (you know Deb) Miss Ella has come ahead in leaps and bounds with her recall and Deb is treating her every time she calls her back, her OH told her to stop treating her every time, I said she should because if the treats for her needing her to come back are intermitant then she will get clued on to this and if she has something better afoot she might decide not to come back becasue there is always the chance she wont get the reward so she takes the chance and doesn't come back. It isn't like she is calling her back every five minutes, it might only be two recalls on a 2 hour walk like today. I hope you know what I mean, not sure if I have explained that last bit to well. Another thing is at training, the dogs seem to know exaclty what you want them to do so they will just comply but out and about is a completely different story. Anyway like I said you are doing everything right don't get disheartened!! On another note, I have been talking to Maws today, she is having a fabulous time, hopefully she will get a change to pop in and say hi. she doesnt get back till Feb, she is missing her doggies like crazy!! Also Tez, remember Benny, well he got rehomed and he went to a family with a 7 year old beagle, two kids 12 & 14 and he is in his element, he loves it and his old owner has been to visit and she said he was in 7th heaven, so that was a very happy ending to what I thought was going to end in heartache for poor Benny, I was so pleased!! She did try but I think in the end she did the right thing by him!!
