I'm a lot more nervous about project 365! I have a feeling it's going to be a long year Which dog are you photographing or are you going to do more than 1 photo a week?

Oooo - love the first one photogger and the ratty one FD!!! Today's haul - Zero's new collar!!! I love it (the collar, not the photo!!)

Well yesterday was the start of the 52 weeks for dogs 2010 so I thought if anyone else was participating this year, we could put all our photos together in the one thread to keep track of everyone and see how our dogs have changed over the year. I don't expect much of a change in Zero, considering he's not going to go grey in the face, grow or mature but it would be nice to see if he does. You could always create the border on one computer, save it to usb and transport it to the other computer. I find photoshop easier to use for things like borders - lightroom I use for simple colour touchups, photoshop I use for "editing".

You can download a plugin to do it - i found it on another forum quite a while ago now. Google "borders in photoshop" and it should be somewhere on the list. I think it was called LR/Mogrify - it does watermarks too. I'm not sure if there's a different want to do it - I export and then open the shot in photoshop because I find that easier.

Nope - wouldn't have guessed he's half ragdoll! Does he or his litter sister have blue eyes?? I know nothing about cat genetics either so you're not alone! :D Very gorgeous colouring and markings he has though...half ragdoll half moggie all beautiful. :D I don't think so - Jonas's eyes are a yellow colour and I think MJ's are a greeny colour from memory.

He's actually half rag doll if you can believe that! His father was obviously a moggie, his mother was pure ragdoll whose owners got the shock of their life when their girl got out and ended up with a litter of 5! My brother also owns Jonas's litter sister who has an entirely different coat to Jonas and is black and white. I really don't understand cat genetics! Great shot btw - your dogs always look so happy!

Lol - Jonas's hair is falling out at the moment because it's that time of year so I'm sure he'd love the pats!! He's itchy because of it and looooves cuddles! As for the angle, i just stood underneath it and to the side. This is what it really looks like: And an out-take from today: I've wanted to photograph it for ages! I think I might do a month of photos taken at work at some point this year. Everyone at work knows I carry around a camera constantly so they probably wouldn't be surprised!

You start it and I'll join - Zero has been attacked by 2 border collies, a (quite elderly) staffy x and a couple of "oodles", not because these dogs were particularly dog aggressive but because Zero used to go off his rocker at them and they were off leash with owners who didn't think their dog would be a problem. It wasn't their dog, it was mine who would start it but having their dogs off leash meant that I couldn't finish it! I feel your pain PF. ;)

Waaaay to many photos to comment on them all but I love that so many people are participating this month! Lots of gorgeous shots!! Mine for tomorrow and today will go up tonight - I have my idea for today and my shot from yesterday (not technically good but it made me laugh) is still sitting on my camera. I hope it's alright!!

I can't believe how many people are participating in this month's challenge and the quality of work! You guys rock! Here's mine for today, usually my niece is a whirlwind of movement but she's been sick for a couple of days so has slowed down completely:

It's the next on my list - but probably not for a few months. I've done too much impulse buying lately!!

I love that photo of Soaks Nik! Here are a few from new years eve - I'm not great at photographing dark coloured dogs (I'm really not used to it!) so I wanted to challenge myself to take a few shots of a dark dog on a dark background:

I call it "The Morning After The Night Before - The Hangover Cure" Whoot - one day down, only 364 more to go! I'm loving the start to this years shots - I'm really going to have to start thinking outside the box this year. I want to start being able to play with photos more in photoshop - I'm going to do a month of shots that have all been heavily edited later on in the year. Most of the shots I take now are converted to jpeg in lightroom and have their colour played around with a little but not much.

Wheeeee! I'm doing Project 365 this year so this will be a great way to kick it off!

A couple from this morning: Mow What's this? More presents for Zero?

Yesterday I told one of the girls I worked with that Zero spent christmas 3 years ago in the pound before I rescued him in early january - she burst into tears and cried for about 10 minutes before I was able to tell her how lucky Zero and I were to have found eachother. I decided I would do some photos for her to show her what his life is like now and so here they are: Hmmmm... what's this? Ooooooo treats! What else is in here? Toy!!!! throwthetoythrowthetoythrowthetoythrowthetoythrowthetoythrow thetoy THROW THE TOY!! Wheeeeeeeee Is my toy - not for you. Meanwhile - Mow was also getting presents.... and enjoying the wrapping paper more than the toys and treats. You can't see me! I is hiding! See - hiding!! Zero does have another present which I think I'm more excited about than my own presents - but photos will have to wait for a couple of weeks until it arrives....

Ooooo - she's beautiful! Every dog should have a home for christmas and it look like she has found a fantastic one. Congrats on the new addition - I'm sure she'll make you (and you will make her) very happy. Rescue doggies are wonderful.

Sometimes I wish cats were easier to photograph - with Zero it's so easy "sit! Stay!" 50 photos done from all different angles. with Mow it's "please don't move, stay there, do you want a dentabit?" and then i get maybe 3 frames if I'm lucky!! Harry is gorgeous - such a great shot!
