I did use the 50mm - I'm so happy with the 1.4. These shots were taken at about 8pm! I agree with you Mim, looks pure (badly bred) but pure all the same. Cute little thing. Really? I haven't ever seen a pure corgi, even a badly bred one, like him. To me he seems too wide and he's got a funny backend. Thanks for the imput guys - I might suggest they get the test done for him and see if it can work out what he is!

My friend's little rescued boy is one of the strangest looking dogs I think I've ever met - I was wondering if anyone had any guesses as to what he is. We've been trying to work it out for the last couple of years. We've guessed everything from corgi to german shepherd to kelpie to sibe so if anyone else has any ideas, she'd love to know what you think! Knoxxy: He's built like a tank, carries his tail over his back and has really short legs. We're guessing half corgi because of the build but he's so solid and strong!

Lol - he's not going anywhere! They love him too much! He's such a sweetheart!

Okay - I decided I wouldn't use the photos I took yesterday afternoon for yesterday's shot. I took this one last night of a friend's new rescued pup, Cody. Poor thing has skin problems already but is a ball of energy and fun. I'm still trying to decide what I'm going to get a shot of today. It's my best friend's birthday so I'm sure I'll think of something!

I like them! I'm about to get white tattoos (when I've been to the tattoo convention in march and met someone who actually knows how to do them with the proper ink) and I'm told they look like old scarification in person. Do you mind if I ask why you chose the birds you did (sparrows?)? I actually wanted white, but she didn't think it would work well against my skin, so red was the next option (I wanted to avoid the typical blues and blacks). Ok, the bird thing is a bit of a long story - firstly, it's our family name. My aunty died recently and my nanny a couple of years ago (they were both Birds too). At my aunty's funeral, there were these big floor to ceiling windows that looked over parkland. As soon as the music started, these two birds flew together right towards the windows and then 1 went either side, around the building. It was like it was choregraphed, even the pastor mentioned it. Anyway, we were talking about how that is nanny and my aunty, together now - one thing led to another and my dad and I went and got bird tattoos. I found the design online and just liked it - no other reason for choosing it. I did attempt to draw my own, but I wasn't very successful (there's not much symmetry to my drawing ). Sorry for the hijack That's brilliant - I love it when tattoos have stories. Yours is a beautiful one! Sorry for the hijack too guys!

Okay - I can't decide which photo to use for today! What do you guys think? I was going to do yet another "work" photo but one of my cockatiels scratched himself today and started bleeding so I decided to get photos of the birdie boys instead. He's okay but he's scratched his nose so he has a sore on it now and lots of dirty feathers! This is Remi (Rembrandt really, but he only gets called that when he's in trouble... which is most of the time) And Lucius And one more just because I thought it was funny - he's really okay, it just looks worse than it is! Is that scarification or red tatts? Either way, I like them! I must admit that scarification freaks me out a little (ie I wouldn't do it) but I like the look of them on others.

Um - aside from the half second delay on it not really. There have been a few times where I've pressed it that it hasn't triggered but you just press it again and it works. I haven't tried out much distance on it but when I start doing motion shots of myself later on in the year, I'm going to upgrade it to a better remote. There's one that's about $100 that works for distances up to 100m. Not that I would ever need that far!

I have one that I got direct from Canon - it looks like this: I don't know what it's actually called but the website I got that photo from says it's called "Canon Remote Wireless Control For Canon EOS d-SLR Cameras RC-5" - I just asked a friend who works for canon to get it for me and he did.

Same as on the 450d - it's a great little tool though. I can't wait to see what you come up with! I love your self portrait month! The remote trigger is how I took the portrait shots for the photo 5 competition and how I'll get the ones for the Zero and I month I'm planning later on in the year when he doesn't look like a yeti. Btw - that brush you lent me works better than a furminator for getting the dead hair off him. I hadn't brushed him for 2 weeks and he looked disgusting! One grooming session and he looks like he's not blowing coat! I'm really going to have to buy one!

I don't! I have folders stocked with photos here that are still waiting on editing months later. I want to get some done while I'm holidays so I can get them printed but even then, I don't know if I'll have the time!

Great shot CM! I can't believe you got such a good treat placement in it!! Most people on here know what I do anyway so it's no secret I'm the promo coordinator for the lifestyle, lifestyle food and lifestyle you channels on foxtel. Essentially I coordinate on-air promos (those ads you see on TV that advertise TV shows) and make sure they'll all ready to go to air on time. It's mostly a lot of running around but I get to do a lot of cool things so I love it. Love the 3rd shot of Cooper btw - poor boy looks so sad!!

I can't really decide on a shot for today so I've finally chosen this one - wednesday is audio day at work (where we do the voice over for our promos) and one of the audio engineers at our audio facility let me take photos of his equipment with all the lights going. He didn't even bat an eyelid when I told him what I was doing!

Lol - yes but Ruthless Leather doesn't open for a few weeks. I'm sure she'll let everyone know when she's ready to take orders. There are such great shots in here! I love it!
