I had a great night (even if i did have to put up with Huski's incessant chatter for the WHOLE weekend ) and was very surprised when I won. Big thanks to everyone involved! It was lovely to meet the people I did and to catch up with those i already knew

It's the holder for my GPS. I'm just WAAAAAAAAAAY too lazy to take it off my windscreen. I don't notice it. It's a lot lower than it looks on that picture. If i look at it from my angle when I'm driving, you can just see the black hood of my car behind it so it's black on black. Gosh! If you guys liked the bbq shot, I can't imagine what you'll do after today's shot Love your shots for today! I'll have to upload mine when I get home - I'm off to melbourne tomorrow morning so I'll have lots of shots

You can definitely see it through Z's coat - he's in full coat in this picture and his hair is about 2 inches long. You can lose a smaller collar in it but people are forever commenting on his collar so it must be pretty obvious, even with the coat. -
Thanks Julie!! See you on saturday!

Can I change mine to be picked up at the awards? I fly to melbourne tomorrow morning so if it arrives tomorrow afternoon, I won't have it for the awards.

I'm hoping that they come up to sydney royal again - i would love to get the biggest bowl i can for Zero. He needs an inside water bowl! Both of his buckets are outside.

Gorgeous Kirislin! I would love to see your dogs in person one day. I never see whippets other than in the show ring and some of them don't look too happy to be there. Yours always look so happy! Zero does happy too:

Some Good And Bad News...depending On How You See It

Her allergies won't rule her out of being a delta therapy dog. Terranik's Jedi has really bad allergies and he's a wonderful therapy dog! Zero also has allergies (though his are food allergies) and he's a therapy dog too -
Zero gets devon roll or ham and chicken roll when we're out training and as the occasional training treat at home. He happily works at home for kibble but I want to up his enthusiasm when we're out and have something special for him. I've been using it for years and Zero's enthusiasm for it is still fantastic! Oh - devon is also known as fritz or polony depending on what state you're in. I have to call it polony to my dad or he has no idea what i'm talking about (he's in WA).
-
Hahahaha - kooky is definitely the right way to describe him! He's an interesting one! There was no knowing what he would look like from that photo - he was yellow and brown, in major need of a groom (noone had groomed him at all and he was blowing coat - you can see the tufts sticking out of him in the pound photo), stank to high heaven and 43kgs He's actually a wolf grey (as opposed to grey and white) so he does have bit of colour in his coat but his first bath was actually like 4 baths in one. It was disgusting. He looks insanely white compared to how he looked when i got him. He's also 16kgs lighter and is now sitting at a more respectable 27kgs. The aggression was just an added bonus. Good thing that hasn't stuck around

How very strange! I have the fast reply window open at the bottom so it shouldn't have put anything on it. It was something I posted in the spitz thread. Maybe I had 2 windows open or something? Fixed now!

Ruthless leather - it's what all the cool kids are wearing nowadays.... -
It depends on the dog. A lot of sibes are known escape artists. It's certaily a start but some other things to think about are: - How high can she jump? - Is she a digger? Can she dig under your fence? - Would she chew through something to get out? - Is your gate a weak point in your fencing? - Can you keep her inside during the day? - Would it (like persephone suggested) be worth getting her a kennel run for during the day? I have heard of sibes that can easily climb a 7 foot fence and would dig all day to get out. For a sibe like that, some of the solutions I've heard of include keeping the dog inside whenever the owner isn't there to supervise, setting up a kennel run with a floor that can't be dug out of and a roof on it, putting netting over the backyard and in one case, putting the dog into doggie daycare. Hope this helps!
