What Prizes Would You / Wouldnt You Like To Win At A Show?
Ellie replied to Jsk's topic in General Dog Discussion
:p A win is a prize in it's self, anything else is a bonus. Yep I treasure my fringies (especially when they are fancy multi-coloured ones ) I love my fringies too, I still have mine from 40 years ago! -
I have one of these, it's excellent quality, around 15 years old now and still going strong.

The Strangest Cross Breed You Have Ever Seen?
Ellie replied to jackie_a1's topic in General Dog Discussion
Well I haven't actually seen them, but on another website there is an advertisement for Italian Greyhound x Border Collie puppies -
I've entered just on the Sunday. Got my numbers in the mail yesterday

With my last litter (August 2010) I took ten days off work when the puppies were born. I’m very fortunate to live only five minutes from work so was able to pop home every lunch time to give mum a run and check on the puppies plus feed them once they were weaned. I had another week off work before they went to their new homes. OH does shift work so he was often at home with them while I was at work. It was full on, but very rewarding.

He's beautiful. He looks like an Angus to me
-
I don't ask for a deposit either.

Tarakay My numbers arrived last Thursday, but there was no breakdown of numbers with them. I'm only entered on the Sunday. Cheers Ellie

Yes, I'll be there with two Cockers (unless it rains).

Google maps is telling me that Lithgow to Sofala is about 1 hour 17 minutes, so if you come that way and turn off at Ilford, it will bring you in the other way, which means that you will come down the winding road into Sofala, up the other side and will turn into the showground on your right. It's just up the hill, but don't think it has a street name. I live in Bathurst and Sofala is about a 25-30 minute drive from Bathurst, so I don't know if it would be quicker for you to come through Bathurst or go through Lithgow, keep going on the Mudgee road and take the Ilford turnoff.

Barly, If you are coming through Bathurst, it's on the left hand side just before you go into the village of Sofala. Once you are in the showground, you actually overlook Sofala. The dogs are tucked over in one corner, so it's good to get there early if you can. Cheers

We have two of the extra large plastic kennels on our covered deck. My three Cockers prefer to sleep all together in the one kennel. There is only just enough room. I've tried to gently encourage the six month old pup into the empty one but he won't have a bar of it, much prefers to curl up with his mum and aunt/

Hi africandreams I have a pair of these, my friend bought them in the US for me when she was there late last year. I LOVE them, they are easy to use and the best scissors I've owned. I have Cockers, I just do a little bit at a time so as not to take out too much coat at once. They are very sharp and I've cut myself a few times. I can only speak from experience with my own breed, as I know nothing about the Bernese coat, but for me they do a great job. Ellie

Not shooting the messenger, just wanting to understand the reason for her decision

So her main reason for doing it is to make money?

He's a beautiful boy. I could just squish his face.

Looking To Purchase Grooming Scissors
Ellie replied to Roishana's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I bought a pair of Roseline scissors on ebay earlier this year and they are great to use. A friend bought me a pair of Chris Christensen thinning scissors when she was in the US late last year and they are fantastic. -
Could you advertise him in the mature dogs available section of DOL?
-
What a little sweetheart!

Most definitely, my boy (5 months old) has a lovely purple lead with white bones on it. :D

Midge very rarely tied up - only intermittently when the play gets out of hand, and only for 10 mins or so - so I can have my morning cuppa in peace. Daisy (pup) lives inside - and is my 7yr olds dog - Midge is an outside dog and always has been. I do not intend on have a puppy pen here. No offence - but I am really after information on the well being of the pup's body - not a behavioural science lesson If you're not keen on a puppy pen would a crate be an option for some time out for your baby puppy?

Happy Birthday big fella! 15, what a great age!
