  1. Fern is lovely, she looks great for her age!
  2. What a beautiful, but sad tribute to your special girl. Thank you for sharing your story with us, I'm sitting here crying. Molly had a wonderful life, and you will meet up again one day. RIP Molly, and hugs to you ninoid.
  3. Has anyone tried Dazzle Dog? My orange roan Cocker has some staining on the feathering on her back legs which is difficult to remove (I'm guessing its urine stains). Thanks in advance.
  4. Marnie is beautiful and very clever. You make an excellent team together.
  5. RIP Little Leo. I'm glad Leo went to the bridge at least knowing that someone cared about him/her.
  6. What a beautiful boy Fred is. Sending hugs and strong healing thoughts to you and Fred.
  7. Thank you so much everyone for your kind thoughts.
  8. Ellie, my sister’s beautiful Golden Retriever, was gently put to sleep on Saturday afternoon just short of her 16th birthday. She was unwell on Saturday morning and the vet said that her kidneys and liver weren’t functioning, and the kindest thing for her was to make her way to the Rainbow Bridge. Ellie had a large extended family who all will miss her greatly. I showed her has a youngster and looked after her when her people went on holidays. She had three beautiful litters and even starred as Sandy the dog in our local theatrical production of “Annie”. Her little pal, Monty the Shih Tzu is missing her. A special thank you to her breeder, Linda, for the many years of happiness and loyalty Ellie has given to all of us. Ellie’s ashes will be brought home this week to be laid to rest in her favourite spot. Rest easy beautiful girl, you will live forever in our hearts.
  9. Congratulations on your new puppy Little Tails. She is beautiful! Looks like a match made in heaven. You'll have some great times together.
  10. I'm so sorry for you, I can't stop crying. Lucy will be with you always. RIP little Lucy, you are beautiful.
  11. RIP Charlie. So young and so beautiful.
  12. Your puppy is very cute and I hope he will be ok. However, $700 is a lot to pay for a puppy from a BYB with parents who have not been health tested. There are many wonderful people on DOL who are happy to share their knowledge and experience. Stick around and you will learn heaps. Good luck!
  13. Both my Cockers are mainly indoor dogs, and are bathed every week, regardless of whether we are showing or not. I use a good quality spray on conditioner after each bath, this helps to keep them tangle-free and also deters the dirt (except when I take them out to my sister's place on acres for an off lead run and they have a great time rolling in the cow sh#t). One of my girls develops a very strong "doggy odour" if she's not bathed each week.
  14. Sorry, no idea either, but my goodness aren't they beautiful!!
  15. I am deeply saddened to share the news that my favourite horse, champion pacer, Smooth Satin, the "Bathurst Bullet" has been laid to rest following ongoing health problems. I just love this fabulous horse and followed his career right from the start and was fortunate to see many of his greatest runs, including the Ben Hur, Chariots of Fire, Interdominion Grand Final and Miracle Mile. Like all his followers, I almost felt that I "owned" just a tiny part of him. He was a true champion, always giving his best. He had fantastic acceleration and an amazing will to win. Run free champ, you will be greatly missed by all your fans. There were many champions before him, and many will come along after, but Socks will always hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for the wonderful memories, I will miss you very much. Ellie http://www.harness.org.au/news-article.cfm?news_id=10219
  16. I'm so sorry that this has happened. Thomas is beautiful! RIP sweet boy.
  17. RIP Sophie You fought the brave fight. I'm so sorry for your loss, I can tell she was very much loved.
  18. Well done on you progress! You are sounding much more positive. Honey sounds like a real little sweetheart. My Cocker pup has just turned 9 months old and she was very slow to toilet train. It finally all clicked in at 7 months and she's doing great now. I found consistency and lots and lots of praise (even if you sound like an idiot!) to be the key. DOL is a wonderful community with many knowledgable, caring and helpful people. Stick around and you will learn heaps. Good luck with you little girl and please keep us updated on how she's going. Ellie Edited for spelling
