  1. Ill like to buy their whitening shampoo but dont want to pay for postage which costs as much as the product itself! Is there any store that sell their product? Sorry, forgot to say Im in Sydney. And does anyone know what ingredient it is that does the whitening? I dont what to use it if its bad for the dogs skin or hair. Ill rather have an off white dog that has ahealthy coat in that case!
  2. Im getting my bichon from a family who can no longer keep her. Shes 1 year old and at the moment shes been clipped back. I dont think the family knows how to groom her properly either see that theyre selling her cause they dont have time. Not that shes neglected in any way. How much does a professional groom cost? I was thinking I can maybe watch and learn. Im not looking to have her groomed into a show dog just something basic that I can maintain my self at home.
  3. What type of brush should I buy to groom my bichon? (which Im getting very soon!) I know theres the rake type brush, steel pin brush sometimes with the black bristles on the other side, metal comb brushes, rubber brushes...theres so many on the market and the packaging doesnt describe what they should be used for so I have no idea! And does anyone know what brush groomers use to fluff up the bichon's hair into what the show dogs look like?
  4. Just want to give some info regarding the "garlic". I've read some article and they said Garlic is good for a dog. It's can make the better anti body. it's also a natural antibiotic and can cleaned the Hot spot in the skin. Please correct me if there is something wrong with that article. See ya, I dont know if dogs should be fed garlic but I just read that its good as a flea repellent if sprayed around... if you can stand the smell that is :D
  5. Thanks! I think I solved my own question after reading around more! And I found this link too http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...amp;hl=raw+diet
  6. I thought a raw diet was good for dogs after reading about the low meat content in commercial canned dog food but now Im having seconds thoughts about raw diets after reading this article http://www.healthypet.com/library_view.aspx?ID=121&sid=1 Which says that raw meat might have Salmonella which causes Salmonella infections in animals fed raw diets. It makes sense because humans are careful with meat preparation and cooking to fill off bacteria in raw meat. Any thoughts??
  7. Hi Im confused by the two step process. Theres microchipping which registers your dog with NSW companion register and records your details. But why is there also a need to pay $40 to register with council?
  8. I know a breeder that told me her pups come desexed and when I asked her how come her pups come desexed when others dont and she said that her vet is able to desex at 2 months and thats ok :D
