Good to see that he is home but didn't your vet tell to just give him a few laps of water at a time. Pick up his bowl and only let him have a few laps and take it away, continue doing that for the next 24 hours until his tummy settles.

Cheapest Flight Options For Dogs?
Fordogs replied to blackbirdblue's topic in General Dog Discussion
I sent a 24kg GSD puppy from Canberra to Adelaide 4 weeks ago, used Jetpet they quoted $230.00 but when I paid they only charged $218.00. Excellent service only problem was that drop off time was 5.30am. and I don't like driving in the dark. Dogtainers quoted $290.00. Previously I have always used Dogtainers as they have been cheaper but not this time. -
If A Dog Is Pregnant To Her Brother Is That A Problem?
Fordogs replied to Cazstaff's topic in Breeders Community
I applaud you for making the right choice for the bitch. Emotional yes but correct. -
Move the pot plants or replace them with cactus
-
Is THAT why I keep getting adds for VIAGRA ????
-
Permoxin on the dog & bedding daily and search, search, search. When I lived in a tick area Preventic collars also

Sending Good vibes to Chase & you. All the best for a quick recovery. I agree snake bite would have shown up far quicker.
-
I have also had a female that continued to bleed for 4 weeks post mating --- My vet did a swab -- nothing out of order but I asked for antibiotics any way --- she whelped 8 puppies all fine.
-
At the practice where I work the owner is always allowed in the room while we ultrasound or wait while we x-ray and view results with the vet. I have no idea why any practice would stress out a pregnant bitch by admitting them for the day.
-
I just love all of your puppies Liz but I am afraid I am very partial to the first tri colour --- Just love the tri's
-
Congratulations 14 WOW well done Jet --- You would have felt like you were working on a production line ---- you wouldn't have known which one to catch ---- No you can't be there 24/7 when you have a family that needs you as well, you do what you can. Jet will soon learn how to move around them so as not to cause injury. Good Luck

Sorry I can't help re a VERY LARGE litter my biggest is 8 but I agree with Allerzeit, let her go natural hopefully you can have an experienced breeder help out and only go for a c-section if you need to. Sending you good vibes for an easy whelping.

I am very disappointed to say that an ultrasound this am found No puppies. This experience has totally changed my thoughts on what to expect with a pseudo pregnancy. She has had some bloods taken so we will wait and see what the results tell us and We plan to do a swab in about 4 weeks time and work out a plan for her next season.
-
She is not doing anything more so going to the vet this morning.
-
Yes Ellz, I have thought about that, I was planning to give her another 24 hours as now I am thinking that I may have done the mating a day or 2 early and that is why we saw no little skeletons on the x-ray. As yet she only has nipple development on the very back 2 nipples.

Thank you TrinaJ, Today, still not eating except for CAT FOOD, you know those little ones VIP, even refuses human grade steak and chicken. BUT the major development is a softening of her vulva -- So now I know for sure there has to be at least 1 in there but I think she is still a day or so away NOT that I am going to leave her alone for very long. Her temp is still a very normal 37.9. Edited to wish you TrinaJ a good whelping for your litter due 29th.
-
Thank you everyone for your good wishes, Her due date is tomorrow.
-
I have to agree with you on that LizT She spent the night sleeping with me on my single bed in the whelping room and considering that she is a German Shepherd there was not much room for me. Her temperature is still normal, she is still not eating, frantic nesting and very sooky and constantly cleaning the VJ. I might ring the vet this morning !!

Has anyone had a bitch have a phantom pregnancy and have a cervical plug come away ? I am sure she must have at least 1 puppy. She is doing lots of nesting and has milk. These last 2 things I know they all do but it is the cervical plug that makes me MORE hopeful.
-
She would be due Sunday ????????? We only did one mating 2 days post progesterone of 10. Yes I have started to take her temperature
-
Yes I have seen and felt the puppies moving with other bitches but not always. At the moment she is madly nesting and still barely eating anything, a couple of chicken necks yesterday but not interested today but she did have 1/2 cup of dry food and a couple of beef chunks with Biolac added this am.

How To Reduce Coat Loss Due To Phantom Pregnancy?
Fordogs replied to poppop's topic in Breeders Community
I would have her Thyroid checked for a start. -
