  1. Are there No dog trainers at all in Sydney's south west ????
  2. Hi, as this states I am looking for a recommendation of a dog trainer working from the Campbelltown area. It is for one of my puppy buyers who has just bought some sheep and the now 4 month old GSD is having fun chasing them, she is not injuring them, just scaring the S*** out of them. For now I have told the owner to keep the puppy on lead when around the sheep or to confine her when they are free, I also said to work on the recall, sit, down and stay. So any good recommendations? Thanks, we need to act ASAP.
  3. You can also use the cardboard from the paper towel or toilet roll and cut to shape and glue inside the ears.
  4. I have KinTraks it's not too expensive and it does everything that I need. You can trial it for free.
  5. I also have 2 puppies that I have kept from my female's last litter to Vegas and they are great, the whole package, beautiful, great temperament great with other dogs, people. This is one of them
  6. Thanks for your replies but in the end I used the De-Solv-it (after testing a small area and leaving it for 24 hours) and it has worked well but once I removed it I shampooed and conditioned the whole area with Aloveen.
  7. You can buy Tear Mender from SWAY.
  8. No she can't reach it, it's behind her ear and I really don't want to cut it out we have shows coming up.
  9. My females rarely vomit but I do see them eating grass at around 2 or 3 weeks so I think that they do feel nauseous.
  10. My puppy has some latex glue on her and I have bought a product called De-Solv-it. It says it is (a bio-degradable natural citrus base) made is Australia, I have tried it on myself just to make sure that it is not harmful, didn't sting and no reaction on my wrist and when I tried it on some fabric stuck with the same glue it worked very well but before I use it on the puppy thought I would ask here. Anyone know of it?
  11. Yes, 2 people, you sit on the back seat with a big blanket and a couple of towels just in case, your puppy will most likely sleep with his head on your lap all the way home. Don't stop anywhere and put him on the grass as he has only had his first vaccination so he is not fully protected yet.
  12. Prayers and good wishes for Joey's recovery.
  13. I agree puppy enquiries are almost always for the sex you don't have. My last litter was 2 boys & 6 girls and all of the early enquiries were for boys ( I could have easily have sold a dozen boys). My first litter was 7 boys, they were all spoken for before 6 weeks. I voted boys.
  14. No, she only has a lump (size of 20 cent coin) with pus and swollen inguinal lymph nodes.
  15. Can puppy strangles appear any where other than on the neck? One of my puppy buyers took his now 14 week old puppy to the vet for a lump in the area between her 2 back nipples and the vet said that it is puppy strangles. I have always thought that it was called strangles because that is what it does if not treated *strangles the puppy* Never ever seen it anywhere else. Edited for spelling
  16. I have rung Dogs NSW this morning and they have corrected it on their database and I will send my pedigree back for replacements. Thanks Bilbo and also those who emailed me.
  17. Has anyone here received registration papers for a litter with incorrect spelling of an ancestor's name ? If so did you do anything about it? Would Dogs NSW send out new pedigrees if they were informed of the error? I really should have noticed this weeks ago before the puppies all left, Thanks for any response.
  18. Not sure about the grass but use TRIGENE on the concrete and anything else. It can be ordered from the Vet.
  19. To me the dog looks to be tilted. I once sent an xray to Wyburn that I was not too happy with and he returned them to me saying that if he was to evaluate then my dog would fail, I had them redone at another vet and she scored 2/5 Now I would rather travel 2 1/2 hours one way for good xrays.
  20. OK I HAVE followed the whole thread and I do know that some breeders do not tell the whole truth BUT as far as health testing goes, IF THE BREEDER does NOT show you and give you a copy of these certificates don't WALK >>>>>> RUN away. ALL health testing should be done prior NOT AFTER the BREEDING. As Nekhbet said those scores are NOT earth shaking had they been over the 25 mark then that would have caused concern for me, even 2 dogs with under 10 can still have puppies with high scores. All we can do is breed with the best available dogs of our breed and hope that all puppies will be healthy EVERYONE that buys a puppy from ME will receive a copy of these in their new puppy folder.
  21. Just my 2 cents for what it is worth. This breeder very well might NOT want to pay for anything ( and I don't think that she should as the puppy at this time has absolutely no problems at all ). You should have done more homework. You should NOT look for problems where there are none. BUT IF YOU HAD BOUGHT A PUPPY FROM ME, I would be telling you to bring it right back here just to be rid of you because I believe that you would always be looking for a problem with this puppy and if you really need to go on a forum and ask the question * Should we give our puppy back *? then I would say YES, YES, YES.
  22. I am with boxerheart. After my last litter I had puppies spoken for and then at 8 weeks when they were ready everyone just dropped off, not answering my calls or emails also had a show home lined up and when the puppies were 7 weeks and trying to organize a day for them to pick the puppy up they simply dropped out stopped answering the phone or emails, never to be heard of again. Then after another who had not been in contact for 10 days despite my phone calls & emails (no deposit paid) I finally sold the male pup that I had been holding onto and then the people rung and asked if they could pick up their puppy. Tears and a very upset lady wondering how she was going to break the news to her children. Sorry but I am way over these people, I have had enough, future litters I will only hold onto puppies with a deposit.
  23. That sound about right Christina but they do come in handy at shows.
