Is There Any Things Said About Your Breed...
RoxyNHemi replied to Baileys mum's topic in General Dog Discussion
At the dog show the other day, and a Junior Handler was about to take in a red lakeland terrier Heard a child ask her mother, what is that.. Mum replies, its a schnauzer. Mum then pipes up its definately a schnauzer, but must be a new colour (or something along those lines).. Unfortunately I couldnt correct her as I was mid conversation on my mobile phone. Since I have had Tori (my lakeland terrier) I have had a ohhh a mini airedale, or what is it? she is a lakeland terrier, person replies, what is that a cross of..... I had one person call my Westie a Hamish dog..... they were dead serious, I responded, he is a west highland white terrier, but yes they are often called Hamish as they are a scottish breed.... -
Permit is for up to 6, but he has to show he has adaquet (sp??) living room for them..

As ST said - the Shire of Kalamunda (forrestfield, high wycombe, wattle grove, lesmurdie, kalamunda, gooseberry hill, maida vale etc) isnt as rigid as some Councils regarding it. You have to prove you have sufficient space, there is a consultation period with neighbours and then seek council approval.. Have a look throught the minutes and you can see how many have been approved recently.

One of my pet peeves are the new armbands that have been making a statement - the blingy ones with the ribbons flying off them. Sorry to those that have them/make them Armbands are there to hold your number, ok I can deal with a pretty look, but the ribbons flapping everywhere - they are distracting... JMO (Ready to be flamed...)

Ahhh FB - Such a reliable source LOL  I saw that it was an ESS Grd Ch Sunspur Zeuss in NT Also heard dogs in QLd in Non Sporting acheived it today as well (jap spitz, lhasa, toy poodle and dallie)

Im at the show Saturday too.. Also have 2 x Terrier Club Open shows on Sunday. Am only entered in one of them tho, as Toris breeder is judging with other.

I ended up giving the show a miss as hubby was getting a bit over it.... we were supposed to be on holidays afterall!!! :) Well done on your awards!

Well done AmyPie on Trixies super win! how awesome!!! Well im back from holidays and want to go back already  Tori came to Adelaide with me and managed to pick up 2 X CCs/RUBOB and Puppy of breeds.. I didnt expect to win much as she was in full blown season, she could have waited another week! Our little camp did quite well, Toris breeder managed to pick up a Best in Show at the Terrier Club specialty with Midas the lakeland boy she took over and our friend with smooth foxies who also took 2 foxies managed to pick up some nice res cc wins with her youngsters and a Puppy in Group Got to see some lovely Westies in Melbourne... it has given me thoughts about the future future. Shame im already at my max dog limit! But I love the ones I have got right now - even the naughty lakeland terrier!! Tori turns one this Sunday!! Where has that time gone!!! On another note, I went to obedience last night, Hemi was just sooo distracted it wasnt funny it got to a point almost halfway through the class i wanted to leave.... I think he was dissapointed there was no Agility equipment there  So Im thinking of joining up somewhere that has regular agility classes (unfortunately midlands are hit and miss)... looking for suggestions?

I wanted to come have a look at retreiving, but had to wash Hemi before I go away on Thursday then went to Mary Poppins
-
Well done on everyones wins - specially Hudson - he looks just gorgeous.... While im in Melbourne can I meet him then sneek him into my hand luggage to come home with me... LOL My Tori - Kineta Femme Fatale had a lovely weekend in Geraldton. She was awarded 2 x RUIG's, 1 x Puppy in Show and 1 x Puppy in Group. She is currently #4 All Breeds rising star in WA and number 2 rising star terrier in WA

-
On another note - Midland Dog Club are having an open day on 29th May, showing off all disciplines Might be worthwhile for those who are curious to come down and have a look

Is the agility on Tuesday nights as well? I am tempted to rejoin Midland rather than going to ACWA It's so much closer!! I wan to know more about their Rally O classes :) http://midlanddogtraining.com/ Rally-O is every second week on Tuesdays. Agility is on Thurs nights M - Check out the schedule in the link Yes - I am happy with the instructors to date

I was going to enter Hemi at Geraldton - but my instructor at the time told me not too.... My new instructor told me I should have... Oh well, plenty of time left in the year. I will be at Geraldton for the dog show :) With my naughty Lakeland Terror Terrier

I saw the wonderful, magical Deb today. Saw instant change - turns out Tori had a pulled Hami and sore quad muscles on the other side (for compensating). However she still managed to bounce!!! Apparently I will really notice it more tomorrow. But I am really already impressed.. I didn't realized how restricted she was in movement ( I knew she wasn't 100%). I sometimes our dogs could tell us when it hurts!!

I know of Batavia Park Caravan Park, Drummond Cove Holiday Park and Greenough Rivermouth Caravan Park Nowhere allows dogs inside due to health regs
-
Congrats on the litter P! A quick question - I need to get Tori adjusted - can someone please PM me debs details or someone they recommend? I have used Bowen in the past - but think she needs something more...I did a search and couldnt find anything!

BOB and RUBOB are highlighted in all breeds. Everything is copy and pasted as per the official website results. Sorry I wasn't clear - on the front page where you have summarised it all West Highland White Terrier - CH. LANCELOT VOM DEIPEN BROOK (IMP DEU) it should be WHWT - N.Z. CH. CH. BELLEVUE KNIGHT RIDER AT WHITEBRIAR (IMP UK)
-
Thanks Sway - doing a super job.. However you have picked up the RUBOB as Being Best of Breed in Westies
-
Hemi has moved to class 2 in obedience... Was the last night this week, and will move up next term :)

and one more

Thought it was time I bumped this one up with a photo or two. Tori is growing up - she is a super busy body and has the know on the going ons around the house at all moments.. She has just started blossoming in the show ring, and is super fun to show
-
This is my rising star. She has won 4 Minor in Groups this year, converting 2 of these to Minor in Show and last weekend she won Puppy in Group and converted this to Puppy in Show... Im such a proud mother :D Kineta Femme Fatale 'Tori' - she is my first lakie
-
Happy birthday to the super terror terrier :)

I have just got home from my second obedience class and am quite impressed with them Instructor is thourough, and explains why we are doing what we are doing plus Hemi was used as an example last week, and then she told me not to bother working on one of the exercises as he had it down pat :) Maybe one day I will be competing.....
